O processo de construção do perfil de competências gerenciais para enfermeiros coordenadores de área hospitalar

Este estudo objetivou construir o perfil de competencias gerenciais, consensuado por enfermeiros coordenadores de area. Desenvolvido em um hospital filantropico de Sao Paulo, na modalidade de pesquisa-acao, participaram da pesquisa 13 enfermeiros coordenadores de area. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio da tecnica de grupo focal. Para a analise dos dados utilizaram-se os referenciais teoricos relacionados a processo de trabalho e competencias gerenciais. Os resultados identificaram maior enfase atribuida as competencias relacionadas aos papeis de mentor, coordenador e diretor. Foi possivel, entao, construir um plano de desenvolvimento profissional, pautado em competencias que atendam as dimensoes tecnica, etico-politica, comunicativa e de desenvolvimento da cidadania. A analise do processo de trabalho gerencial e o estudo das competencias no âmbito gerencial mostraram-se importantes, pois problematizaram necessidades de aprimoramento desses profissionais, assim, respondendo as demandas pessoais, profissionais e organizacionais.

The construction process of managerial profile competencies for nurse coordinators in the hospital field

Este estudo objetivou construir o perfil de competencias gerenciais, consensuado por enfermeiros coordenadores de area. Educação permanente de profissionais de saúde em instituições públicas hospitalares

The objectives of this descriptive exploratory study were to identify, characterize and analyze educational activities developed with health professionals based on integrality, teamwork and permanent education. Data collection was carried out in three hospitals of the city of Sao Paulo, by means of key-informant interviews, representing all the professional categories. Interviews were recorded and transcribed, information was systematized into operational categories and storage in data bank. The results showed that educational activities aiming actions to recover health with the assistance of professionals of specific areas, revealed a distance from the integrality conception and team work. It was concluded that actions aiming education of health professionals emphasizes the individual clinical model, with fragmented actions of professional categories. So, we suggest reconsidering the integrated strategies of knowledge to promote integrality of hospital attention.RESUMO Estudo exploratório-descrito cujos objetivos foram identificar, caracterizar e analisar as atividades educativas desenvolvidas com profissionais de saúde, à luz das concepções de integralidade, trabalho em equipe e educação permanente. A coleta de dados ocorreu em três hospitais do Município de São Paulo, através de entrevista dirigida a informantes-chave, representantes de todas as categorias profissionais. As entrevistas foram gravadas e transcritas, as informações sistematizadas em categorias operacionais e armazenadas em banco de dados. Os resultados mostram que predominaram atividades educativas voltadas às ações de recuperação da saúde, com participação de profissionais de áreas específicas, revelando um distanciamento da concepção de integralidade e de trabalho em equipe. Concluiuse que as ações de educação dos profissionais de saúde reiteram o modelo clínico de assistência individual, com fragmentação das ações. Dimensionamento informatizado de profissionais de enfermagem: avaliação de um software

The complexity involved in operationalizing the method for nursing staffing, in view of the uncountable variable related to identifying the workload, the effective working time of the staff, and the Technical Security Index (TSI) revealed the need to develop a software program named: Computerized Nursing Staffing (DIPE, in Portuguese acronyms). This exploratory, descriptive study was performed with the objective to evaluate the technical quality and functional performance of DIPE. Participants were eighteen evaluators, ten of whom where nurse faculty or nurse hospital unit managers, and eight health informatics experts. The software evaluation was performed according to norm NBR ISO/IEC 9126-1, considering the features functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, and maintainability. The software evaluation reached positive results and agreement among the evaluators for all the evaluated features. Levantamento das principais fontes de desperdício de unidades assistenciais de um hospital universitário

Este estudo teve como principais objetivos levantar os diferentes tipos de desperdicio, suas causas e sugestoes para elimina-los, segundo a opiniao de profissionais de enfermagem e medicos atuantes em unidades de Clinica Medica, Clinica Cirurgica, Pediatria, Alojamento Conjunto e Bercario; e estimar o custo da principal fonte de desperdicio nessas unidades. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratorio, com abordagem quantitativa realizado no Hospital Universitario da Universidade de Sao Paulo. A amostra foi constituida por 189 profissionais de enfermagem e medicos. O desperdicio relacionado aos materiais (36%) foi o mais apontado por todas as categorias profissionais seguido pelo desperdicio de estrutura fisica (27%). Os materiais desperdicados mais citados foram os medicamentos, pacotes de curativo, papel sulfite e dispositivos de infusao. 479.262,86.The objectives of this study were to survey the different types of waste, their causes and suggestions to eliminate them according to the opinion of the nursing and medical staff from the Clinical Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Rooming-In, and Nursery Units; and estimate the cost of the major source of waste found in the referred units. This descriptive, explorative study was performed at the University of São Paulo Teaching Hospital using a quantitative approach. The study sample consisted of 189 medical and nursing professionals. Reelaboração do treinamento admissional de enfermeiros de Unidade de Terapia Intensiva

Esse estudo, de producao tecnologica, teve como objetivo desenvolver um programa aplicativo para dimensionar o quadro de profissionais de enfermagem em unidades de internacao hospitalar. O metodo seguiu as fases de concepcao, detalhamento e construcao e prototipagem do sistema de forma iterativa e ciclica. O programa computacional, denominado de Dimensionamento de Profissionais de Enfermagem - DIPE, e uma ferramenta que operacionaliza o dimensionamento, fundamentado na carga de trabalho da unidade, para a adequada relacao profissionais/pacientes, segundo os tipos de cuidado; no Indice de Seguranca Tecnica (IST) para cobertura das ausencias previstas (folgas e ferias) e nao previstas (faltas e licencas) e no tempo despendido na jornada de trabalho para as pausas dos profissionais. A incorporacao desse avanco tecnologico constitui importante estrategia gerencial para a melhoria da qualidade da atencao a saude.The aim of this technological production study was to develop a program to measure nursing professional chart in units of hospitalization. The method followed the phases of conception, description, construction and prototyping of the system interactively and a cyclically. The computerized program, denominated Measuring Nursing Professionals (DIPE) is a tool that operationalizes measurement based on the workload of the unit for the adequate professional/patient relationship according to types of care, according to the Index of Technical Security to cover expected absences (day-off and vacation) and those non expected (leave and licenses) and also time spent during work for pauses of professionals. The system is available in the site of the Nursing School of USP: htpp:// www.ee.usp.br/dipe. The incorporation of this technological development became important managerial instrument to improve quality in health attention.

Computerized nursing staffing: a software evaluation.

The objective of this study was to analyze the learning evaluation process of nursing staff training programs, regarding its effectiveness and instrument validity. This is an empirical study whose findings support theoretical formulations for the construction of an evaluation methodology. The analysis consisted of learning evaluations related to six training programs, totaling 993 evaluations. The results of these six training programs showed the need to propose an evaluation methodology, defining criteria, instruments and indicators for this purpose. Survey of the major sources of waste in the health care units of a teaching hospital

Considering that personnel professional development processes are indispensable at health institutions and disclosing the obstacles faced in the practice, the objective of this study was to redesign the admissions training (AT) process of ICU nurses from a private practice hospital in the city of Sao Paulo. Based on a qualitative approach, action research was used as a method strategy. For data collection, the focus group (11 nurses) technique was adopted which favored a dialogue with other nurses (18) via electronic media-based communication. Six meetings were held to analyze the AT status, which permitted to redesign the process and resulted in the definition of the concept, objectives, goals, ICU nurse and educator-nurse profiles, content, instrument, flowchart, strategies, duration and evaluation.
