The paper analyzes problems related to optimal selection and possible control of parameters of transport movements of the manipulator serving galvanizing and quenching baths. Evaluation of the acceleration and braking processes as well as minimization of the deflection during oscillations of the suspended loading are considered. Mathematical models of the transfer manipulator together with the loading unit were developed, which enable dynamic evaluation of transporting movements. Calculations of the dynamics of the model and simulations of the transfer process were performed. The obtained research results allow to improve the quality of the processing and reduce the emission of pollutions.

The aim of the research was to define an appropriate design of the nozzle which could be used to cavitate microbubbles and direct the cavitating water flow on the cleaning metal surface. Three different nozzles were evaluated. SolidWorks 2011 Flow Simulation software was used for calculations. Volume of vacuum bubbles in the flowing part of the nozzle was established. The water pressure at the inlet was varied from 4 to 10 MPa. Calculations show that in all nozzle structures amount of bubbles change slightly while pressure is varied from 4 to 10 MPa, so the optimal pressure of the water flow can be considered as 4 MPa.

This work investigates agglomeration process of aerosol particles in presence of acoustic field. It is shown that besides orthokinetic and hydrodynamic interaction mechanisms, tribological interaction occurs in presence of acoustic field. This interaction depends on dynamic viscosity of the gas mixture above the liquid surface. The influence of acoustic field on tribological interaction between the aerosol particles was investigated both numerically and experimentally. The obtained results show the positive influence of acoustic field on agglomeration of aerosol particles.

This paper investigates efficiency of specially designed atomizer used to spray water and cavitate microbubbles in water flow. Surface cleaning system was used to clean machined (grinded) aluminum surface from abrasive particles. It is established that cleaning efficiency depends on diameter of the diffuser, water pressure and distance between nozzle and metal surface. It is obtained that the best cleaning efficiency (100%) is achieved at pressure 36 bar, when diameter of diffuser is 0.4 mm and distance between nozzle and surface is 1 mm. It is also established that satisfactory cleaning efficiency (80%) is achieved not only when atomizer is placed closer to metal surface, but also at larger (120 mm) distances.
