Current Research Situation and Problem Analysis of Axiomatic Design

Xiao Ren-bin; Liu Yong

Axiomatic design (AD) has provided scientific basis for system design. It is also a conceptual framework for other design methods and tools.Firstly, along the track of AD guiding design,AD framework are summarized and analyzed after the review of ADs historical background, and the relevant research hotspots are pointed out.Secondly, the current research situation is summed up and discussed in detail in terms of extension and perfection of AD,relation between AD and other methods, processing of coupled design problem and complexity study based on AD.Then the applications of AD to product design, manufacturing system design, materials and material processing, evaluation and decision of design are introduced. Finally, some key points of research and development trends of AD in the future are prospected based on the analysis of existing problems and limitations.

Axial Magnetic Transmission Mechanism and the Calculation of Magnetic Torque

Zhang Zhiming; Xiao Ren-bin; Mei Shunqi; Tu Zhengheng

Magnetic transmission has many advantages of no abrasion, no leakage, and energy saving etc. Magnetic force is transmitted torque by magnetic field. Magnetic circuit is influenced by permanent magnet (PM) distributed according to the theory of magnetic transmission mechanism. The mathematical model of its torque is constructed based on the equivalent magnetic charge principle. Magnetic torque is calculated on these parameters of axial height, circuit distribution of permanent magnet, air gap of active and passive magnetic pole and leakage coefficient. Magnetic force is varied with those parameters changed. The result shows axial magnetic torque can be increased by increasing the density of magnetic distribution and decreasing active and passive air gap.

The new product diffusion with negative word-of-mouth’s spread based on system dynamics and multi-agent simulation

Yu Tong-yang; Gong Xiao-guang; Xiao Ren-bin

New product promoted in the market is under many risks, and negative word-of-mouth affects the risk seriously. The enterprises often neglect the consumerspsila negative word-of-mouth, and as a result it leads to shrinkage in market. In order to study the negative impact on market risk in new product diffusion, in this paper, the multi-agent and system dynamics models have been established to simulate it. The two results are compared. Through simulation experiments, the new product diffusing process is affected obviously by the negative word-of-mouth. The diffusing process is sensitive to the probability of negative word-of-mouth and produce life cycle. The two results are the same to show the impact of negative word-of-mouth, and the two simulation ways can testify the effectiveness by each other.

Study of Division Problems in Nonconvex Games with a Variable Population

Luo Xiao; Xiao Ren-bin; Li Mi-an

Abstract In this paper, we investigate some problems about division problems given by transferable utility cooperative games with a variable population of players. First, we set up a unified model format and introduce some new concepts . In theorem 1, we obtain a sufficient and necessary condition for judging core allocation principles in all allocation principles; In theorem 2, we obtain another sufficient condition for distinguishing core allocation principles from the given allocation principles; The conditions given in theorem 3 are easily examined, and theorem 2 is a very usful result for distingushing core allocation principles from the given allocation principles. As an example, we obtain that the Shapley value for certain kind of nonconvex games is a core allocation principle.

The Generalized Monotonicity of Allocation Principles

Luo Xiao; Xiao Ren-bin; Li Mi’an

Abstract In this paper, we investigate some problems about allocation principles given by transferable cooperative games with a variable population. We first introduce the concept of generalized monotonicity which reflects a kind of rational requirments, and discuss the generalized monotonicity of the “allocation principle according to work”.
