Perfluoropolyether Fluids (Demnum®) Based on Oxetanes

Until the 1980s, perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oils had only limited, specialized uses, but since then their applications have expanded very rapidly. Major applications now include working fluids for vacuum pumps designed for semiconductor manufacturing and base oils for high-temperature lubricating greases.

A new method for eliminating carbonyl fluoride from α-trifluoromethylated acyl fluorides

Abstract Carbonyl fluoride was found to be eliminated from α-trifluoromethylated acyl fluorides when they are treated with amides, e g. , dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide, and dimethylthioamide, under mild condition, e.g. , Possible reaction mechanism will be discussed.
