Summary We report a case of acquired cutaneous lymphangiectasia associated with underlying malignancy, and following an arthrotomy. Clinical and histological features were identical with those of acquired lymphangioma. Lymphangiography showed signs of acquired lymphatic obstruction. Both the underlying tumour and the arthrotomy were thought to be contributory factors.

Foul body odour is sometimes caused by a nasal foreign body. When clinical symptoms such as nasal discharge and obstruction coexist, the diagnosis is easy but it is quite difficult when there are no such symptoms, especially in a child who cannot express his distress. We report the case of a girl 2 years 8 months of age who emitted a generalized foul odour, which initially suggested to us a possible defect in her amino acid metabolism, but which finally proved to be a foul odour due to a nasal foreign body.

Instead of using a candle as in chope, alcohol, dried plants or papers are used in Korea. The basic principle is the same. A 19 year-old-man with acne keloidalis had multiple annular purpuric lesions on his back (Fig. 1). He had been treated with Puhang a week previously in the hope of eliminating his skin disease. The instrument used was bottle-shaped, as shown in Fig. 2. Its inner surface was coated with white, heat-insulating material. After placing a few drops of alcohol inside, it is turned upside down and im-
