Habilidades em compreensão da leitura: um estudo com alunos de psicologia

This research meant to explore the relation among reading comprehension and academic performance in specific contents of the Psychology course. The sample was composed of by 115 freshman students of the private university in Sao Paulo. The instruments used were two texts prepared in accordance to Clozes technique and a questionnaire focusing the most used characterization types in higher education assessment. The results showed clearly a correlation, statistically significant, among reading comprehension, academic performance and learning assessment in Psychology course, specially when the grade results of the student individual production in assessment situation.

I Congresso Nacional de Psicologia - Ciência e Profissão: O que tem sido feito na Psicologia Educacional

This reserarch aimed to verify the scientific production in educational psychology showed by 304 posters in the I Congresso Brasileiro de Psicologia, Ciencia e Profissao. The analyse was based in the meta-analyses criteria: theme, authory, type, report and data analyse, described in the congress annals. The results indicated that the themes were very diversified with the most part of works included in another category, not previewed by the congress organization (Others) for the School/Education field. The production was mostly femail and with multiple authory. The abstracts demonstraded a good construction level, containing the essential topics. The practical report was predominant in relation of the others categories> and they presented the most important items of the scientific discourse. The qualitative analyse was the treatment form most used in the abstracts evaluated.

Funcionamento diferencial de itens para avaliar a agressividade de universitários

In this research evidences of construct validity were searched analyzing the differential functioning items related to aggressiveness. The participants were 445 college students of both genders, attending the courses of Engineering, Computing and Psychology. The scale of aggressiveness composed by 81 items was collectively applied, in the classroom, to the students who consented to participate in the study. The items of the instrument were studied by means of the Rasch model. Twenty-eight items presented differential functioning item, 15 were characterized as typical for females and 13 for males. The reliability coefficients were 0.99 to the items and 0.86 to the persons. It was concluded that the aggressiveness can be measured separately on the basis of gender.

Auto concept y rasgos de personalidad: Un estudio correlacional

This study investigated the relationship of the personality traits to self concept. The Escala de Tracos de Personalidade para Criancas and Escala de Autoconceito Infanto-Juvenil were administered to 389 children aged from 8 to 10 years, attending at public and private schools. Almost every measure done was differentiated by gender. For the boys, the positive correlations found were between extraversion and scholar and familiar self concept, neuroticism and psychoticism with personal and social self concept, and sociability with familiar self concept. The negative correlations found were between extraversion and social self concept, psychoticism and familiar self concept, and sociability with personal self concept. For the girls, positively correlations between the social self concept and psychoticism and sociability with familiar self concept were emerged. Negative correlations were revealed between extraversion trait and social self concept, psychoticism and neuroticism traits correlated with familiar. The contrasting group’s analyses confirmed the found data.

Compreensão de leitura e consciência fonológica: evidências de validade de suas medidas

This study searched for evidence of validity for measures that evaluate related constructs, namely, reading comprehension and phonological awareness. A total of 112 second- and fifth-grade children of both sexes between the ages of 6 and 12 years (M = 8,46; SD = 1,68) from a public elementary school in a town in Sao Paulo participated in the study. The students answered a cloze test, the Phonological awareness assessment and Phonological Awareness Test by Oral Production, the last two being administered individually. The results confirmed the existence of criterion validity in contrasting groups, as the children who obtained high scores on the Phonological Awareness Test by Oral Production also showed significantly higher performance on the cloze test and the Phonological awareness assessment.

Produção Científica sobre o Teste de Cloze

In this study we investigate the scientific production on Cloze test, between the years 2002 and 2012. Fourteen journals were used, from which 32 articles were analyzed on the basis of certain criteria set by Witter and others considered relevant by the author. The data evidenced an increase in publications since 2007. The years 2007 and 2008 were the most productive. The research report was the most used form and the southeastern region the one which most published in that period. There was still the predominance of multiple and feminine authorship and studies that employed other tests to the Cloze, and therefore revealed a relationships with other constructs. The results also pointed to the predominance of research in educational context with university student, based on the use of traditional technique, with the deletion of every fifth word of the text and literal correction.

Desenvolvimento Perceptomotor e Escrita em crianças do Ensino Fundamental

The present study verified the performance as the B-SPG relates to performance in writing, searching for convergent validity between the instruments used and any differences between participants with respect to age and school year. Participated 199 children 7-10 years (M = 8.46, SD = 1.15) from the second to fifth year of elementary school, in the countryside of the state of Sao Paulo. The participants underwent collectively to-Bender Gradual Scoring System (B-SPG) and the Writing Assessment Scale (EAVE). The results confirmed the relationship between the perceptual motor development and writing (r = 0.56; p <0.001), giving them validity evidence because of a low score on the B-SPG reflected a good performance in EAVE and vice versa. Evidence shows that the educational level and age are important variables in assessing the perceptual motor development and learning of writing. However, further research is need in order to remedy the limitations found here.

Produção Científica sobre o Teste Desenho da Figura Humana entre 2002 e 2012

El presente estudio investigo la literatura cientifica sobre la Teste Desenho da Figura Humana, entre los anos 2002 y 2012. 14 publicaciones se han centrado, en el que se analizaron 39 articulos basados en algunos criterios establecidos por Witter y otros que se consideren pertinentes por el autor. Los datos mostraron un aumento de las publicaciones a partir de 2006, el ano 2006 es el mas prolifico. Se observo que en el informe de investigacion fue la mas utilizada y la region sureste, que fue publicado en este periodo. Tambien hubo un predominio de la autoria multiple y la mujer, asi como la investigacion aplicada a los contextos clinicos y academicos. El sistema de evaluacion utilizado fue mas Koppitz, que representa 28,2% de la muestra. Tambien hubo pruebas de que los tipos mas frecuentes fueron la validez de constructo convergente, discriminante y precision entre evaluadores. Estos resultados ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de realizar estudios que tratan de abordar las deficiencias identificadas aqui.

Compreensão em Leitura em Estudantes do Terceiro e Quarto Ciclos do Ensino Fundamental

= 1,60), do sexto ao nono ano de uma escola publica do interior de Sao Paulo. Um ques-tionario de identificacao e um texto com base na tecnica de Cloze foram aplicados coletivamente aos escolares cujos pais ou responsaveis assinaram o Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido. Os resultados revelaram um nivel basico de com-preensao em leitura, entre os participantes, muito aquem do esperado para a sua escolarizacao. A pontuacao das meninas foi significativamente mais alta, quando comparada a dos meninos.Houve tambem um incremento significativo das medias obtidas

Avaliação Cognitiva Infantil nos periódicos científicos brasileiros

O presente estudo investigou a producao cientifica voltada a avaliacao cognitiva infantil entre 2002 e 2012. Foram analisados 67 artigos de 25 periodicos cientificos. Os resultados evidenciaram que os anos mais proficuos foram 2007 e 2008. Pesquisas provindas da regiao Sudeste, desenvolvidas por mulheres, em coautoria e relatos de pesquisa foram os trabalhos mais frequentes, assim como os estudos com objetivo de diagnostico-intervencao. Verificou-se, ainda, que a avaliacao cognitiva infantil foi predominantemente realizada no contexto escolar e que Desenho da Figura Humana – DFH; Matrizes Progressivas de Raven e WISC – III foram os instrumentos mais utilizados. Dada a relevância da avaliacao cognitiva infantil, ressalta-se a necessidade de outras investigacoes, principalmente no que diz respeito a qualidade dos instrumentos empregados.
