Popular websites such as Google and Facebook must have an extremely large clients and providing such clients only with a single web server is absolutely insufficient. To support service availability, two or more servers are required. This, however, needs a load balancing system. A load balancing server receives web traffic and distributes the requests to such multiple servers. Load balancing can be implemented with special hardware, software or a combination of both. The purpose of this research is to develop a load balancing system with HAProxy as a software-based load balancer and Heartbeat as failover software and provides comparisons of the performance of several balancing algorithms on it. The results show that without a load balancer, the load cannot equally be distributed. The system average failover time when an active server down is 10ms. The Leastconn algorithm, in general, outperformed the Round-Robin and Source algorithms in terms of connection rate, response time, throughput, and failed connection.

Digital data storage is very critical in computer systems. Storage devices used to store data may at any time suffer from damage caused by its lifetime, resource failure or factory defects. Such damage may lead to loss of important data. The risk of data loss in the event of device damage can be minimized by building a storage system that supports redundancy. The design of storage based on ZFS (Zettabyte File System) aims at building a storage system that supports redundancy and data integrity without requiring additional RAID controllers. When the system fails on one of its hard drive, the stored data remains secure and data integrity is kept assured. In addition to providing redundancy, the ZFS-based storage system also supports data compression for savings on storage space. The results show that the ZFS with LZ4 compression has the highest read and write speed. For real benchmark, there is no significant difference in reading speed for a variety of different variables, whereas a significant increase in speed occurs when writing compressible files on the ZFS system with compression configuration.

Various vehicular applications are available in VANETs either for safety-related or non-safety-related use. Collision warning and car crash alerts are those of the most important messages that own high priority to be rebroadcast than any non-safety messages. Meanwhile among non-safety messages that employs text, images and streaming packets containing voices and videos, the bandwidth must be distributed fairly among users. In dense networks, massive rejections of packets may occur if there is no bandwidth resource management applied. This paper proposes a strategy in congestion control to increase bandwidth use and distribute fairness to various applications. In other words, the strategy provides suppressed rejection rates for safety messages and increases fairness on bandwidth use to the rest of applications. This research has shown an improved performance for safety applications and has increased fairness over non-safety applications when correct bandwidth partitioning is applied.

Nowadays, the need of an information for some hospital is getting bigger. This Hospital Information Systemapplication is made to be based on web by using Prado framework based on PHP programming languageand MySQL as its databases. This research include application scheme using object oriented approach,database scheme, and also examination from application as a wholeIn its making, this application adaptedwith the requirement of a hospital in general such as facility for requesting of examination disease atlaboratory, queue information of test request, record-keeping of test result of a patient at medical laboratory,pathology, and bacteriology, blood request for patient at blood bank of hospital, and also result informationof laboratory test of a patient. The result of the application examination show this information system canwork if input condition have been full filed. Process which desirable for example login and user registrationprocess, data addition, data change, data abolition, and the data seeking at system. This application earn togive queue information of test request, service for the blood requesting, and also result information oflaboratory test of a patient.
