The purpose of this study was to identify the behavior and the dimensions of behavior of mediators of incubation processes of solidarity entrepreneurships relevant in promoting decision making processes compatible with the principles of cooperativism. The data were collected in meetings of a sewing cooperative which were recorded on video. About 20 members and one mediator were present in the meetings. The results indicated the occurrence of the following behaviors of the mediator: presenting information in a clear, complete and objective manner to the participants; promoting the participation of the participants (asking for manifests, giving word and presenting questions) and proposing motions for the matters discussed. For most of the time, the mediator was a facilitator in the process of decision making, promoting the participation of members of the organization in this process and an appropriate formation of these members in forming the groups autonomy.

This study is about the application of a procedure to promote rules formulation in solidarity based enterprises as from the concept of behavior (relations among reply categories and preceding and subsequent stimuli) by members of a cooperative, as part of their capacity development for cooperative work. Eight women participated in a workshop in which information about rules relevance and behavior concept were presented; they pointed out desirable behaviors by members of a solidarity based enterprise, described desirable and undesirable behavioral relations according to the groups point of view, demonstrating capacity to identify relevant aspects of these relations and potential contingencies to the maintenance of these behaviors.
