Experiência estética e experiência mediada

O que implica o adjetivo “mediada” quando usado para qualificar experiencias? Este artigo retoma essa discussao, buscando evitar tratar a experiencia mediada sob o ângulo mais frequente da mediatizacao e/ou sequestro da experiencia. Para tanto, elege como ponto de inflexao a existencia de dimensoes esteticas na experiencia das midias e, num exercicio comparativo, contrasta dois modos distintos de mediacao e de conformacao da experiencia: a televisao e o documentario.

A experiência do telejornal: âncora naturalista

This article reflects upon aesthetic aspects of television and, in special, of the Brazilian television news. Focusing on the debate about the predominance or not of “realism”, the article considers the transformations that occur in the relation world/ telly/viewer in order to inquire about the real represented by the television news.

Aproximações à instabilidade temporal do contexto

The notion of context, which is fundamental to a series of analytical perspectives, gains in this article problematizations that highlights its instability, particularly defined from the connections with temporality. We seek to show that, in relation to textualities, context relations go beyond the dichotomy “inside” or “outside” of the text, since they are marked by the historical, theoretical and epistemological positions of the researches and their agents in the search for contextualization. For its part, the context, usually seen as a kind of past, background or frame that would assist in the understanding of texts, events, and other social and linguistic phenomena. Its seen as a function of complex temporal crossings. We propose, from the recognition of the temporal instability of the context, that the future, seen as anticipation, prediction or other strategies to “dominate” it, is the temporality often absent from the contextual analyzes, when it should be a primordial condition.

Mudar para permanecer o mesmo: marcas de um discurso de autolegitimação jornalística na história

This paper aims to characterize evidences of informative media’s self-legitimation speech and the relations it establishes with the historicity and other temporal dimensions present in journalism. This characterization effort recovers a set of institutional statements made by Brazilian journalistic agents about themselves, particularly those linked to the editorial reforms of daily newspapers in the so-called modernization of the press. As in other normative texts, we notice that there is an oversimpli cation of the historicity of the journalistic phenomena, since this speech is based on the (re)affirmation of the same values and principles in history.

Mundos possíveis entre a ficção e a não-ficção: aproximações à realidade televisiva

The article discusses the notion of “television reality”, seen as a symptom of the tension between fiction and “non-fiction” in TV. The reflection comes from examples by the Jornal Nacional, in 2010, to undertake a critical review of the concept of fiction and as a way to approach the notion of “possible worlds”, developed by authors such as Umberto Eco and Thomas Pavel, and, approximate to the media phenomena by researchers as Marcela Farre and Marie-Laure Ryan.

“A gente se vê por aqui”: a realidade da TV numa perspectiva recepcional

A partir da retomada de estudos vinculados a diferentes tradicoes do pensamento sobre recepcao, o artigo analisa a hipotese da televisao exigir a superacao da dicotomia ficcao/realidade. Para isso, investiga especialmente o pensamento de Eco, Gumbrecht e Iser e conceitos como performance e mimesis.
