O servidor público no mundo do trabalho do século XXI

The present work discusses the repercution of the increasing depreciative speech towards the civil servant - greatly influenced by changes in the labor world at the turning of the century - in the subjectivity in this category. It also discusses how these workers deal with the frequently negative stereotypes that diminish and deppreciate their labor and explains how the lack of recognition and appreciation interferes in the sense given by civil servants to their professional life. An analysis of the changes in the public sector management over the last decade is also provided, with special emphasis on the consequences of the implementation of the 1995 Brazilian State Reform. The work concludes that the current global Welfare State crisis, translated as the pressure for a lean government body affects significantly the environment of Brazilian politics and the organization and ethos of its public institutions. The work identifies a new scenario that generates significant impacts on the production of subjectivity in the category. Finally, it questions whether there is place for the public servant in the world of contemporary work.

Entre Travessias: A Saúde dos Docentes na Expansão/Interiorização do IFMA

Este artigo refere-se aos impactos na saude do processo de migracao realizado pelos professores em decorrencia da expansao /interiorizacao do IFMA. Adotou-se o materialismo historico dialetico como metodo e como referencial teorico a Sociologia do Trabalho e a Psicodinâmica do Trabalho. Entrevistou-se 5 (cinco) professores e 2 (dois) diretores por meio de roteiros de entrevista semiestruturada. Conclui-se, que os professores utilizam de diferentes estrategias para o enfrentamento das adversidades no contexto laboral que envolvem o distanciamento familiar e as condicoes de infraestrutura deficitarias da cidade onde se localiza o campus.

O TRABALHO DOCENTE NO ENFRENTAMENTO DO GERENCIALISMO NAS NIVERSIDADES FEDERAIS BRASILEIRAS: REPERCUSSÕES NA SUBJETIVIDADE

Este estudo analisa o processo de reconfiguracao das IFES a partir da Reforma do Estado de 1995 e, em especial, os limites e as possibilidades de enfrentamento das adversidades vivenciadas pela categoria docente, provenientes das amarras impostas pelo modelo gerencialista. Identifica a cultura academica como indutora de praticas predominantemente pragmaticas e competitivas, como tambem propiciadora do individualismo, da rivalidade entre os pares e da consequente fragilizacao do coletivo. Analises teoricas sao articuladas as entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas com docentes de instituicoes federais de ensino superior. Constata que o docente, imerso nessa cultura, tende a naturalizar essa logica empreendedora e considerar de modo acritico e idealizado o espaco academico, como um lugar que favorece vivencias de autonomia, criacao e realizacao profissional. Nessa perspectiva o professor pode nao perceber a captura da sua subjetividade e apresentar dificuldades na busca do enfrentamento das condicoes adversas, colocando, portanto, em risco a sua saude.
