Bibliometrics are important evaluation tools to the scientific production. A bibliometric study was used to evaluate researches about credit risk and bankruptcy. Credit support technique studies on economic and social orders are relevant in this knowledge field. Therefore, the aim of the current study is to identify and describe the application of multivariate data analysis techniques to credit risk and bankruptcy scenarios. The herein presented data were collected in publications indexed to Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science database between 1968 and 2014. The results corroborate information in the literature and in previous bibliometric reviews, as well as highlight other indications regarding the construction and development of research fields. Since the 1990’s, the neural networks became relevant due to their increased use as study object in publications. However, both the discriminant analysis (J Finance 23(4):589–609, 1968. doi:10.2307/2978933) and the logistic regression (J Account Res 18(1):109–131, 1980. doi:10.2307/2490395) are still often used in researches, fact that shows the tendency to find articles using more than one technique or hybrid models, artificial intelligence techniques and complex computer systems. This field appears to be multidisciplinary in journals and Web Science databases involving the business and economy, operational research, management, mathematics, data processing, engineering and statistics fields. Another relevant discovery was the increased number of publications about this subject launched right after the 2008 crisis.

Endogenous and exogenous features of innovation processes in Brazil: two case studies at a Brazilian university

Dany Flávio Tonelli; André Luiz Zambalde; Mozar Jose De Brito; Mariane Figueira

Brazil has still a great challenge to overcome: the difficulty in translating scientific knowledge into economic development. This study explores this subject beginning with the endogenous and exogenous characteristics of the innovation process. Endogenous characteristics are those directly related to the innovation process, while exogenous characteristics address where the innovation processes occur and describe formal structures. This study consists of two innovation case studies of scientific research mostly carried out within a Brazilian university. A historical approach is used to investigate the knowledge path up to its application in the form of the innovation. In this manner, the study sought to identify what these two case studies demonstrate about the Brazilian innovation process. Our results indicate that the success of the innovation process depends on the satisfaction of needs from both the endogenous and exogenous dimensions of the innovation process.

The purpose of this study is to verify the statistical validity of a collaborative public sector innovation model in the Brazilian Federal Government context. This model essentially addresses aspects of co-creation, public sector innovation, and innovation ecosystem. Structural Equation Modeling results show a good model fit. It is concluded that the creative collaborative processes (co-creation) may generate new public values and foster public sector innovation. This stimulates the development of an innovation ecosystem supported by new public values and co-creative dynamics.

Dany Flávio Tonelli; Lindsay Sant’Anna; Elenice Barcelar Abbud; Suelen Aparecida de Souza

Abstract The purpose of the present study is to draw a general structure, based on a scoping literature review, to better understand the collaborative governance, as well as their elements and complexity. After defining the search meshes and selecting the criteria to apply, 35 papers about were found in the Web of Knowledge® database. The analysis identified its central elements and features, in terms of Antecedents, Collaboration Process, and Equity Outcomes, each of them with its properties. The study highlights the properties of each category, and it provides the possibility to improve the quality of the decision-making processes in collaborative arrangements.
