Atestado de exclusão com firma reconhecida: o sofrimento do presidiário brasileiro

The present work deals with the problems involving the imprisonment sentence in Brazil stemming from the discussion about sociohistorical process of social exclusion, and analyzes the suffering which overtakes the inmates by the privation of the power of construction of new perspectives in life. Revising studies on the current production of criminality and on the Brazilian prison system, it was concluded that prisons in Brazil operate as a mechanism that makes official the exclusion that already occurs towards the lower income classes.

O dispositivo da criminalidade e suas estratégias

This essay discusses how criminal subjectivities are produced within the context where we live. Strategies of this contemporary force diagram are proposed, stemming from the idea of “criminality device”, such as fear/cornering, mistrust/disassociation, and violence/nonexistence of meaning for action. The effects of the criminality dispositive are, on one hand, subjectivities engaged on the belief of identities/essences of inferior people and true people; and on the other hand on discourses about public safety and risk situation. The mechanisms that influence the criminality dispositive integrate prisons, social projects for poor children, public policy, etc.

Modos de vida de internos do sistema penitenciário capixaba

Stemming from the RedSig referential and Spinozian philosophy, this work had as objective to investigate ways of life produced in and by the prison, anchored on the knowledge of some constraints of the process of constitution of people who live in prisons. Two interviews with four interns of Instituto de Readaptacao Social (Social Readaptation Institute) of Vila Velha (Espirito Santo State, Brazil), were performed, one year apart. The analysis of the interviews proceeded on the methodological approach of Discursive Practices as production of meaning, implying the adoption of a constructionist posture and re-signification of the relation between subject and object outside the crystallized idea of duality. The four investigated cases are presented after the highlight of the life histories of the interviewed subjects, of their feelings towards prison life experience and their ways of life.

Sobre olhares e práticas psicológicas na assistência social

In view of the increasing entry of the psychologist in the social assistance services, this article aims at analyzing the psychological practices in the field of childhood and youth, highlighting the complexity and the historicity of current conceptions of this know-how. This theoretical study discusses the professional action of the psychologist, considering the sights and practices as both established in the reality and the creators of the reality. Using the biology of knowledge and French institutional analysis this paper reflects on the conceptions of social, institution, politics and subjectivity. Taking into consideration the ways of seeing as constituted in the social interactions and conditioned to social and historical contexts, it points towards the reflection about daily practices from the problematization of sights on the world. Inquiring about the inadequacy of the psychological practices in social assistance, it reports to the field of visibilities in social services and the diminished aptitude of Psychology in maneuvering it, related to its own clinical history. Therefore, it concludes assigning the analysis of implications and intervention in institutions as an ethical task of psychologist.

O biopoder e a gestão dos riscos nas sociedades contemporâneas

Considering the transformations in the modern social tissue and in the elements of biopower characteristic of this historical period, this article aims at contributing to the reflection on the current dynamics of power over the bodies and life. Based on foucaultian studies it is argued that the contemporary world centrality of management of risk intensifies, not without changes, fundamental aspects of the modern biopower. The Brazilian social assistance policies and transformations in public health status, focused on the logic of risk, are analysed as govern dispositives. It is also discussed how life becomes both the aim of control and the space for resistance in this process. One can conclude that the analysis of new modes of subjectivation resulting from the integration of capital and logic of risk is essential to build new stylistics of existence and to create different analysis parameters for the present days. The new situation covers complex, contradictory factors, always in tension. It is possible to talk about the creation of countless new places of negotiation, power and relief or of triggering of suffering, which require the creation of a new mentality of analysis.

Uma hora não é uma hora na cidade dos catadores

O presente artigo e parte de pesquisa de mestrado realizada no periodo de 2009 e 2010 que teve o proposito de problematizar a emergencia de modos singulares de viver as/nas cidades. Entendemos as cidades contemporâneas como dispositivos que engendram processos de subjetivacao e, nesse sentido, interrogamos os liames do tempo que envolvem os catadores de reciclaveis e a cidade de Vitoria (ES). As reflexoes baseiam-se em andancas pela cidade de Vitoria em companhia de sete catadores de reciclaveis, personagens infames da cidade. Eles compartilharam conosco pequenos fragmentos de vida, narrativas que foram devidamente registradas em Diario de Campo. Concluimos que, apesar da aceleracao capitalistica desenhar mapas nas cidades contemporâneas, criando formas hegemonicas de vida e necessidades, a cidade, assim como o tempo, e passivel de multiplas experimentacoes.
