ZusammenfassungHintergrundIn der Übergangsphase vom Beruf in den Ruhestand können aufgrund zahlreicher Veränderungen und einer notwendigen Neuorientierung auf die folgende Lebensphase psychisch belastende Situationen für die betroffenen Personen entstehen. Ein persönlich zufriedenstellendes Befinden ist eine Voraussetzung für die Bewältigung derartiger Herausforderungen.Probanden und MethodenKörperlich-sportlich aktive Personen in der Übergangsphase vom Beruf in den Ruhestand wurden zum Beitrag von körperlich-sportlicher Aktivität zur Bewältigung von psychisch belastenden Situationen interviewt.ErgebnisseKörperlich-sportliche Betätigung wirkt sich positiv auf die körperliche Leistungsfähigkeit und das Befinden aus, fördert soziale Kontakte, erleichtert die Alltagsgestaltung und dient als Maßstab für persönlichen Erfolg im Alter.SchlussfolgerungAufgrund des vielseitigen Wirkungspotenzials in physischer, psychischer und sozialer Hinsicht kann körperlich-sportliche Aktivität in der Übergangsphase vom Beruf in den Ruhestand zur Bewältigung von psychisch belastenden Situationen beitragen.AbstractBackgroundDuring the transition period between occupation and retirement, different mental challenges may arise as a consequence of the numerous changes and necessary reorientation to the following phase of life. Moreover, it is a measure of personal success during advanced age.
