AS EXPLICAÇÕES DE ERIC DUNNING SOBRE O HOOLIGANISMO À LUZ DO CONTEXTO BRASILEIRO: UMA REFLEXÃO CRÍTICA

A obra de Eric Dunning ocupa um papel central na conformacao da area academica da Sociologia do Esporte. Este artigo foi produzido a partir da leitura repetida, cuidadosa e detalhada das principais producoes de Dunning e da producao cientifica brasileira sobre violencia no futebol e/ou torcidas organizadas, dada a influencia marcante desse autor nos estudos brasileiros. Para o levantamento das fontes, foram consultadas varias bases de dados, bibliotecas de universidades e nossos acervos particulares. Este estudo expoe os fundamentos da sociologia figuracional e do desenvolvimento do esporte, que criam as bases para descrevermos as explicacoes sobre o fenomeno do hooliganismo britânico e sua influencia nas pesquisas sobre violencia no futebol brasileiro.

Futsal feminino na América do Sul: trajetórias de enfrentamentos e de conquistas

Este artigo analisa as experiencias com futebol de jogadoras de futsal de selecoes nacionais de paises da America do Sul. Foram realizadas entrevistas com 16 jogadoras de seis paises em 2009. Conclui-se que elas se constituiram como jogadoras a partir da pratica informal do futebol em companhia de homens. Para jogar, elas precisaram dominar habilidades futebolisticas e enfrentar barreiras sociais que relacionam o futebol e aquelas que o praticam ao masculino. Todas destacam a falta de estrutura esportiva nos seus paises, no entanto, o Brasil e visto como tendo uma estrutura privilegiada para esse esporte.

OS SUPOSTOS ESPAÇOS DE DISCUSSÃO FUTEBOLÍSTICA NA TELEVISÃO: AS “MESAS REDONDAS”

Este artigo analisa os programas esportivos que supostamente sao os espacos de discussao do futebol. Para tanto, escolhemos os programas “Terceiro Tempo”, da Rede Bandeirantes de Televisao e “Mesa Redonda”, da TV Gazeta, por serem os mais relevantes do genero e por serem constantemente citados nas respostas dos entrevistados de Reis (2008). Analisamos a estrutura de apresentacao dos programas veiculados no ano de 2008, durante a realizacao do Campeonato Brasileiro de futebol, principalmente sua composicao com o merchandising . Conclui-se que a compreensao desse processo nao deve ser visto como uma mera mercadorizacao do esporte, e sim como uma mistura entre o processo simbolico que existe no futebol e sua latente transformacao em mercadoria, que contribui tambem para uma visao fragmentada da violencia no futebol e dos torcedores.

O TORCEDOR POR DETRÁS DO RÓTULO: CARACTERIZAÇÃO E PERCEPÇÃO DA VIOLÊNCIA DE JOVENS TORCEDORES ORGANIZADOS

This research aimed to characterize young members of Brazilian organized football fan groups ( torcidas organizadas ) considering their age, education level, marital status and family organization. We also aimed to describe and analyze their perception of violence in football, as well as their perception of the relationship between such violence and sports media. To achieve these goals, we adopted a methodology that is both quantitative and qualitative, combining bibliographic, documental and field research. Among other things, the results suggest that many generalizations made by the media about those fans do not find empirical support.

Significados de democracia para os sujeitos da Democracia Corinthiana

This paper is about Democracia Corinthiana, a movement from a group of football players, managers and directors of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, in the period of 1981 to 1985. The aim is to analyze different meanings of democracy to the players, managers and directors, who were the movements’ social actors. From a bibliographic revision about democracy, two semi-structured interviews and a historical research in newspaper that we picked up statements from those social actors, that had implied their democracy conception on the corinthians’ experience. As results, we found statements about democracy that fluctuates from a defense of the movements’ procedures of decision making, until its values, besides one point that denies the other ones. Thus, we can’t predicate a unique sense on democracy at Democracia Corinthiana.

LEI GERAL DA COPA, ÁLCOOL E O PROCESSO DE CRIAÇÃO DA LEGISLAÇÃO SOBRE VIOLÊNCIA

Este artigo trata da Lei Geral da Copa que tramita no Congresso Nacional desde setembro de 2011, sob a sigla de PL 2330/2011 de autoria do Poder Executivo. Nesse e feita uma analise sobre a Lei Geral da Copa e o processo de construcao da legislacao sobre violencia e prevencao desta em espetaculos esportivos, mais detidamente sobre a polemica vinculacao entre alcool e violencia.

O espetáculo futebolístico e o Estatuto de Defesa do Torcedor

Este artigo e resultante de uma pesquisa qualitativa e tem como tema o espetaculo futebolistico no Brasil e o Estatuto de Defesa do Torcedor. A pesquisa foi realizada com enfoques bibliografico, documental e de campo, e aborda as inaplicabilidades do Estatuto de Defesa do Torcedor. Esta pesquisa conclui que aproximadamente 50% dos artigos e incisos da lei n. 10.671/03 ainda nao sao cumpridos, situacao pela qual a Confederacao Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), algumas federacoes afiliadas e o Poder Publico sao corresponsaveis.

“À MORTE COM O SINDICATO”: CONFLITO E EMERGÊNCIA DE UMA GREVE DE JOGADORES DE FUTEBOL NA ESPANHA (2011)

This article describes and analyzes Spain’s 2011 football players’ strike under their union’s orientation – before and during the strike. In order to accomplish this, we conducted documental research on two Spanish newspapers ( El Pais and Marca , from 2008 to 2013) and information provided by the football players’ Union. We verified those sources to reconstruct the narrative and analyze it based on Hyman’s views on union geometry. Our results suggest that after a change in the union’s leadership, attempts at mobilization pointed to a classist ideology based on the concept of solidarity and unity, as well as society integration. The strike emerged in that scenario.

The National Policy on Violence Prevention and Security in Sport Spectacles: challenges and proposals

In this paper, we developed a normative and ethical refl ection on the process of construction of the National Policy on Violence Prevention and Security in Sport Spectacles. To develop this refl ection, we adopted the following methodological procedures: a literature review, analysis of laws and documents and observations made during our participation in the public debate on violence in Brazilian football and also during exchanges and research apprenticeships conducted in Argentina and Germany, in 2013 and 2014. The text was organized into two interdependent parts: at fi rst, we discussed the main challenges to make the process in question more fair and democratic. Among the challenges addressed, we highlighted the challenge of creating special measures to encourage the inclusion of groups normally excluded from positions of power. Secondly, we presented and justifi ed some concrete measures to overcome these challenges. Among them, the establishment of local committees to prevent football violence, the strengthening and democratization of the National Commission on Violence Prevention and Security in Sport Spectacles (CONSEGUE), of the ministries of Justice and Sports, the creation of the fi gure of ombudsfan, the strengthening of dialogue with the independent associations of supporters and the organizations representing the torcidas organizadas, the training of its leaders, offering them the cultural resources needed to face the problems of everyday lives of these torcidas and needed to the creative and peaceful transformation of the violent confl icts between them, the recognition of less hegemonic forms of discourse, allowing the fans to speak in his own voice, and the creation of the fi gure of the moderator who does Socratic relief work to the word in CONSEGUE.

OS ÁRBITROS DE FUTEBOL E A MÍDIA ESPORTIVA: A INTERPRETAÇÃO DE ÁRBITROS PAULISTAS SOBRE OS COMENTÁRIOS DA MÍDIA ACERCA DO TRABALHO DA EQUIPE DE ARBITRAGEM

This article is the result of a survey conducted with football referees of the Sao Paulo Football Federation included in the so-called FIFA category. We interviewed three referees in the second half of 2015. Interviews were semi-structured in order to understand how those referees see and interpret media comments on the work of referee teams. The study’s reference was Norbert Elias’s theory of civilizing processes. Referees see media comments on their decision about dubious situations as inhumane since journalists and commentators have technology resources that are not available to referees.
