Panorama brasileiro do ensino de Enfermagem On-line

El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar los cursos de Ensenanza Superior Nacional de la Educacion a Distancia (EAD) por area de concentracion, region geografica, nivel de formacion y los cursos de EAD en la ensenanza superior de Enfermeria. El metodo adoptado fue un estudio exploratorio descriptivo en el que se llevo a cabo un levantamiento en los sitios y paginas web gubernamentales y no gubernamentales relacionados a la educacion nacional y a la EAD de las Instituciones de Ensenanza Superior (IES) que practican EAD. En los resultados fueron identificados apenas dos cursos de post-grado lato sensu ofrecidos especificamente en Enfermeria. De este modo, hay necesidad de mayor inversion de las IES de Enfermeria en la creacion y evaluacion de cursos de EAD, asi como de infraestructura e implementacion de una politica de capacitacion tecnologica.O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar os cursos de Ensino Superior Nacional de EAD por area de concentracao, regiao geografica, nivel de formacao e os cursos de EAD no ensino superior de Enfermagem. O metodo adotado foi um estudo exploratorio descritivo em que foi realizado um levantamento nos sites e portais governamentais e nao-governamentais relacionados a educacao nacional e EAD das Instituicoes de Ensino Superior (IES) que praticam EAD. Nos resultados foram identificados apenas dois cursos de pos-graduacao lato sensu oferecidos especificamente em Enfermagem. Assim, ha necessidade de maior investimento das IES de Enfermagem na criacao e avaliacao de cursos de EAD, bem como de infra-estrutura e de implementacao de uma politica de capacitacao tecnologica.The aim of this study was to identify the National Superior Teaching courses in distance education by concentration area, geographic region, graduation level and distance education Nursing courses in higher education. The method used was an exploratory descriptive study in which was carried out a survey in government and non-government sites and portals related to national and distance education of higher education schools that offer distance education. The results identified only two latu sensu Graduate courses that offer Nursing specifically. Thus Nursing higher education schools must invest more on creating and evaluating distance education courses, as well as on infra-structure and on the implementation of a policy of technological capacity-building.

Ensino de didática em enfermagem mediado pelo computador: avaliação discente

This exploratory descriptive studys purpose is to describe what students think regarding the form and content of an educational site and its application as an instructional resource for the discipline of Didactics in Nursing in the undergraduate course in Nursing at a school in the city of Sao Paulo. The studys subjects were students enrolled in that discipline during the first semester of the school year of 2003. The results show promptness regarding the use of computers on the part of the students, who are favorable to the adoption of new computer-mediated teaching methodologies in Nursing as a means to increase and diversify the forms of communication between instructors and students.

Desenvolvimento de Sistema Eletrônico de Documentação Clínica de Enfermagem estruturado em diagnósticos, resultados e intervenções

A documentacao eletronica de enfermagem constitui documentos tecnicos, cientificos, legais e eticos de saude. Este artigo e o relato de estudo de desenvolvimento de um sistema de documentacao eletronica de enfermagem. O sistema foi desenvolvido em 4 fases (conceituacao, detalhamento, elaboracao de prototipo e implantacao) e a base de conhecimento foi organizada em hierarquia de dominios e classes, segundo a estrutura unificada das classificacoes NANDA-I, NIC e NOC. O resultado foi o desenvolvimento do sistema eletronico PROCEnf-USP (Sistema de Documentacao Eletronica do Processo de Enfermagem da Universidade de Sao Paulo) que permite a documentacao clinica e a geracao de relatorios do processo de enfermagem, alem de fornecer apoio as decisoes sobre diagnosticos, resultados esperados e intervencoes de enfermagem. Os fatores de exito desse projeto de producao tecnologica compreenderam a articulacao de diferentes areas de conhecimento, bem como a valorizacao do continuo aprimoramento teorico-pratico do processo de enfermagem da instituicao.Received: 09/15/2009 Approved: 11/12/2009 Portuguese / English: www.scielo.br/reeusp RESUMO A documentação eletrônica de enfermagem constitui documentos técnicos, científicos, legais e éticos de saúde. E-learning: a comparative study for knowledge apprehension among nurses

The end of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century are marked by technology revolution and strategic changes in organizations. Strategies such as the e-learning, has been used for training human resources. This study aimed to compare the knowledge acquired among groups of nurses who used e-learning and those who undergone a traditional classroom training. The true-experimental design was used followed by a quantitative analysis. This study was performed at the Hospital and Maternity São Luiz. The study population was composed by 60 nurses, randomly assigned to two groups, named A and B. Group A received the traditional classroom training and group B received the computer-assisted training. In the data collection, participants filled in a questionnaire before and after the training to evaluate their knowledge and to characterize the population. Results showed there was an equal acquisition of knowledge in both groups; confirming the efficacy of both methods.O final do seculo XX e comeco do seculo XXI caracterizam-se pela revolucao tecnologica e as mudancas estrategicas nas organizacoes, estrategias, como e-learning, vem sendo utilizadas. O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar o conhecimento apreendido entre os grupos de enfermeiros que utilizaram o e-learning e os que receberam o treinamento presencial. A metodologia quantitativa da pesquisa constituiu-se de um metodo experimental verdadeiro. O local de estudo foi o Hospital e Maternidade Sao Luiz. A populacao constituiu-se de 60 enfermeiros que foram divididos randomizadamente em dois grupos, denominados A e B. O grupo A realizou o treinamento presencial e o grupo B, via computador. Na coleta de dados, os participantes preencheram um questionario antes e apos o treinamento para avaliacao do conhecimento e caracterizacao da populacao. Os resultados demonstraram que ocorreu a apreensao do conhecimento pelos dois grupos de forma equiparada, permitindo concluir a eficacia dos dois metodos.

Estudo exploratório sobre a utilização dos recursos de informática por alunos do curso de graduação em enfermagem

Nowdays influence of informatization in education is an irreversible reality. This situation obligate us to reconsider the tradicional teaching - learning method. Face that the Informatic Commission of EEUSP developed ari exploratory - descriptive study of undergraduate nursing students relating to knowledge of informatic resourses and habilities on it. The results revealed that there is a straight relationship between time of use and hability on using computer. The acquirement of knowlendges, until now, occurs independently of institutional policy. It permitted perceive the significance of informatization on teaching nursing and that teaching institutions need to adapt its educational methodology to the new technology.

Proposta educacional on-line sobre úlcera por pressão para alunos e profissionais de enfermagem

Objective: To develop an educational proposal to teach a pressure ulcer management course online to students and nursing professionals using a virtual learning environment. Methods: This was an applied technological research production technology. Steps of design, planning, and development characterized by a set of procedures, documentation, information technology, and digital images were used. Interactive educational software included the Cybertutor and the Virtual Man. Results: The educational proposal to teach pressure ulcer management online was divided into modules composed of list of discussions, case studies, and other didactic resources such as photos and utilization of the Virtual Man. Conclusion: The new educational course using online technology can promote effective knowledge on the management of pressure ulcer for undergraduate nursing students and practicing nurses. Avaliação de sistema eletrônico para documentação clínica de enfermagem

OBJETIVO: Presentar la evaluacion de un sistema electronico para la documentacion del proceso de enfermeria (PE) en la perspectiva de enfermeras usuarias. METODOS: Estudio exploratorio, descriptivo realizado con 16 enfermeras del Hospital Universitario de la Universidad de Sao Paulo. Las enfermeras evaluaron modulos y pantallas del Sistema de Documentacion Electronica del Proceso de Enfermeria de la Universidad de Sao Paulo - PROCEnf-USP, juzgando el confort visual, manipulacion, claridad y extension de la documentacion, objetividad de las informaciones y adecuacion del contenido al registro de enfermeria en unidades clinico-quirurgicas. RESULTADOS: La mayoria de las enfermeras evaluo las caracteristicas funcionales del PROCEnf-USP, como excelentes y muy buenas, destacando el soporte al raciocinio clinico al apoyar decisiones sobre diagnosticos, resultados e intervenciones de enfermeria. Todas tomaron posicion favorable respecto a la implementacion del PROCEnf-USP. CONCLUSION: Los resultados de la evaluaciones mostraron que las enfermeras estan estimuladas para adquirir nuevas habilidades tecnicas y tecnologicas, como la adopcion del PROCEnf-USP para la documentacion del PE en la realidad Institucional.Objective: To present the evaluation of an electronic system for documenting the nursing process (NP) from the perspective of nurse users. Methods: This exploratory, descriptive study was conducted with 16 nurses at the University Hospital at the University of Sao Paulo. The nurses assessed modules and system screens of the Electronic Documentation System of the Nursing Process of the University of Sao Paulo (PROCEnf –USP) judging visual comfort, handling, clarity and completeness of documentation, objectivity and adequacy of the information content of the nursing record in clinical and surgical units. Results: The majority of the nurses evaluated the functional characteristics of the PROCEnf-USP as excellent or very good, highlighting the clinical reasoning support for decisions about diagnoses, outcomes and nursing interventions. All positioned themselves favorably to the implementation of PROCEnf-USP. Conclusion: The results of the evaluations showed that the nurses are encouraged to acquire new technical skills and technology, with the adoption of PROCEnf-USP, for the documentation of the NP in the institutional reality.

Fluência digital e uso de ambientes virtuais: caracterização de alunos de enfermagem

The objective of this study was to characterize the profile of nursing undergraduate students, identify their digital fluency, knowledge, ability and interest in using virtual learning environments. This quantitative, exploratory-descriptive study, was performed with 51 nursing undergraduate students. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire. All 51 subjects (100%) reported having some knowledge in informatics, 26 (49%) of which reported having an intermediate knowledge; 47 (92%) use the Internet everyday; 51 (100%) surf the social networks and have e-mail; 51 (100%) are MSN users; 32 (62.7%) use Skype; 41 (82%) use Chat applications; 33 (64.7%) use discussion forums; 22 (43%) use blogs; 33 (64.7%) frequently use Moodle and 26 (51%) use COL; 45 (88.2 %) reported interest in using virtual learning environments. Liderança: aprendizado contínuo no gerenciamento em enfermagem

Esse artigo aborda a lideranca no contexto do gerenciamento e da educacao em enfermagem com a finalidade de contribuir para repensar a pratica nas organizacoes de saude. Os aspectos historicos e conceituais enfatizam a lideranca como um fenomeno grupal, que envolve o sistema de influencia social de um individuo sobre os demais. Analisa a lideranca na enfermagem como uma habilidade a ser desenvolvida permanentemente, considerando as dimensoes organizacional, interpessoal e individual. Reconhece a importância do valor grupal para uma lideranca responsavel e etica, visando a continua busca do conhecimento, o estabelecimento de confianca mutua e a qualidade da assistencia.This article deals with the leadership in the context of the management and the education in Nursing with the purpose to contribute to rethink the practice in the health organizations. The historical and conceptual aspects emphasize the leadership as a group phenomenon that involves the system of social influence of an individual on the rest. It analyzes the leadership in Nursing as an ability to be permanently developed considering the organizational, interpersonal and individual dimensions. It recognizes the importance of the group value for a responsible and ethical leadership, aiming at the continuous search of the knowledge, the mutual reliable establishment and the quality of the assistance.

Desenvolvimento de Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem em Enfermagem sobre ressuscitação cardiorrespiratória em neonatologia

The objective of this study was to develop an educational software program for nursing continuing education. This program was intended to incorporate applied methodological research that used the learning management system methodology created by Galvis Panqueva in association with contextualized instructional design for software design. As a result of this study, we created a computerized educational product (CEP) called ENFNET. This study describes all the necessary steps taken during its development. The creation of a CEP demands a great deal of study, dedication and investment as well as the necessity of specialized technical personnel to construct it. At the end of the study, the software was positively evaluated and shown to be a useful strategy to help users in their education, skills development and professional training.Esta pesquisa metodologica, aplicada, de producao tecnologica teve como objetivo o desenvolvimento de um Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem (AVA) para educacao continuada em enfermagem sobre ressuscitacao cardiorrespiratoria em neonatologia. Para a elaboracao do ambiente adotou-se a metodologia de Galvis Panqueva associada ao design instrucional contextualizado. O ambiente educacional desenvolvido foi denominado ENFNET. A criacao de AVA demanda muito estudo, dedicacao e investimento, assim como a necessidade de pessoal tecnico especializado para sua elaboracao. O ambiente foi avaliado positivamente e mostrou-se util como estrategia para auxiliar na aprendizagem, no desenvolvimento de habilidades e na capacitacao profissional de enfermeiros.
