The objective of this study was to use mentalmaps to analyze the design of higher education students ontheir understanding of technology. The courses wereworked: Computer Science, Technology Systems for InternetTechnology in Computer Networks and Technology Analysisand Systems Development, in particular, was working thirdyearstudents of the Course of Computer Science andstudents of the early years of technological courses. Aplicações de um Sistema de Informação Geográfica em Ensino Médio

Um Sistema de Informacao Geografica e um sistema voltado para manipulacao, gerenciamento e visualizacao de dados geo-referenciados. Neste trabalho, pretende-se evidenciar como um professor do ensino medio poderia utilizar a tecnologia de Sistemas de Informacao Geografica em sala de aula, em um contexto de interdisciplinaridade, no qual seus alunos desenvolveriam em grupo um projeto que enfatizasse aspectos de matematica, geografia e informatica. Tal proposta se baseia nos resultados obtidos em pesquisa recem concluida que culminou com o desenvolvimento de uma camada de interface denominada EComSIG. O objetivo do EComSIG e ocultar a complexidade inerente a modelagem de interfaces 3D para aplicacoes SIG e, ao mesmo tempo, sistematizar o processo de design de interfaces 3D para tais aplicacoes SIG. Tal sistematizacao viabiliza o uso educacional do EComSIG.
