Grounded theory - conceptual and operational aspects: a method possible to be applied in nursing research

Se trata de estudio de naturaleza descriptiva reflexiva, apoyado en la literatura y de abordaje cualitativa. Tiene por objetivos discutir aspectos conceptuales de la teoria fundamentada en los datos y presentar la aplicabilidad de esa metodologia en el area de enfermeria. Consiste en marco teorico interpretativo y sistematico que extrae de las experiencias experimentadas por actores sociales aspectos significativos que posibilitan construir bases teoricas, potencializando la expansion del conocimiento. Se muestra una importante y consistente metodologia para objetos de estudio que envuelven interacciones humanas y que conforman fenomenos de la practica de la profesion todavia no desvelados y debidamente comprendidos, mediante el rigor requerido para la construccion de conocimientos de abordaje cualitativa.This is a descriptive-reflective study based on literature and qualitative design. It aimed to discuss conceptual aspects of Grounded Theory (GT) and to present the applicability of this methodology within the nursing field. GT consists of an interpretative and systematic framework that extracts significant aspects from experiences of social actors and which enables researchers to construct theoretical frameworks and intensify expansion of knowledge. It has been shown to be an important and consistent framework for objects of study that involve human interactions and which include phenomena concerning professional practice and which have not yet been properly examined and understood according to the rigor required for the construction of knowledge in qualitative designs.

Teoria interpretativa de Geertz e a gerência do cuidado: visualizando a prática social do enfermeiro

Se presenta una reflexion teorica sobre la gerencia del cuidado de la enfermeria hospitalaria y la Teoria Interpretativa de la Cultura de Geertz. Son discutidos algunos elementos significativos de la cultura en la gerencia, a partir de los referenciales teoricos de la enfermeria, administracion y antropologia. En estos, se destaca la importancia de la diversidad cultural como un recurso innovador para ampliar la vision de la integridad humana que valora las divergencias, el respecto, el compartir, que son importantes para la enfermera en la construccion de su practica social.

Correntes de pensamento nacionais sobre sistematização da assistência de enfermagem

This study is a research that has as objective analyze the bibliographical production about the Systematization of Nursing Care in order to discuss concepts associated to the subject. Were analyzed books and national articles published in the database of the Virtual Library in Health, Medline, Lilacs and Scielo, in the period of January of 2000 to January of 2008. Were analyzed 11 articles, having been identified three distinct kind of thought to define concepts associated to Systematization of Nursing Care. Such fact aims for the difficulty of theoretical and pratical articulation, evidenced by the conflicts existing in the literature.Trata-se de uma pesquisa que tem por objetivo analisar a producao bibliografica sobre a sistematizacao da assistencia de enfermagem a fim de discutir conceitos associados ao tema. Foram analisados livros e artigos nacionais publicados na base de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saude, Medline, Lilacs e Scielo, no periodo de janeiro de 2000 a janeiro de 2008. Formam analisados 11 artigos, tendo sido identificadas tres correntes de pensamento distintas para definicao de termos associados a sistematizacao da assistencia de enfermagem. Tal fato aponta para a dificuldade de articulacao, teorico-pratica, evidenciada pelos conflitos existentes na propria literatura.

Os múltiplos problemas pesquisados e a pesquisar na enfermagem

The present study aims at analyzing topics of masters thesis and doctoral dissertations submitted to nursing graduate programs in Brazil from 1998 to 2000. The sample comprised abstracts of 337 thesis and 153 dissertations that were analyzed based on scheme category proposed by Carvalho (2000) to group nursing graduate scientific production. Results evidenced that research carried out addressed a great range of themes, comprehending all research lines of the three areas of the referred scheme. The Assistance and Organizational fields concentrated most of the production (45.0% and 38.8% respectively) and the Professional field relied on 16.2% of the studies. Based on the results, authors emphasize the need to bind together thematic-affinity projects in order to deepen studies and to move forward in the process of nursing knowledge construction.The present study aims at analyzing topics of masters thesis and doctoral dissertations submitted to nursing graduate programs in Brazil from 1998 to 2000. A produção tecnológica e a interface com a enfermagem

Estudio descriptivo, cuya materia son las interfaces de la produccion tecnologica con la enfermeria y tiene como objetivos analizar la interfaz de la produccion tecnologica de la enfermeria con la produccion de tecnologia y discutir esta produccion en los ambitos instruccional, instrumental y de la informatica. Para desarrollar el trabajo hemos tomado como material los resumenes de los trabajos presentados en los tres ultimos Congresos Brasilenos de Enfermeria -1998, 1999 y 2000, considerando como limitacion la subjetividad implicita en cualquier trabajo de analisis de resumenes, ya que puede no haber correspondencia entre nuestra forma de entenderlo y la idea de hecho defendida por el autor. El desarrollo del estudio muestra que la Enfermeria, aunque de forma incipiente aun, esta produciendo elementos constitutivos de produccion tecnologica, en lo cotidiano de su trabajo.

Concepções de comunicação na gerência de Enfermagem Hospitalar entre enfermeiros gerentes de um hospital universitário

The objective of the following study was to analyze the conceptions that head nurses of a university hospital have about nursing communication management. It is a descriptive-exploratory study with an interpretative qualitative approach. The set of data was produced between September and October 2007 through interviews with 19 head nurses in a university hospital in Southern Brazil and submitted to thematic analysis. The nurses recognize the relevance of communication in nursing management, but have different perceptions: part of the research group understands communication from its interactive and dialogical perspective; others understand formal communication, based on the transmission and maintenance of standards and hospital routines, with emphasis on written communication. Further discussion about the triad communication, management and dialogue is required in order to build more interactive forms of hospital nursing care management.The objective of the following study was to analyze the conceptions that head nurses of a university hospital have about nursing communication management. Qualidade da atenção ao pré-natal na Estratégia Saúde da Família em Sobral, Ceará

Diante das politicas publicas que envolvem a qualidade da atencao ao pre-natal, este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a qualidade da atencao ao pre-natal nos territorios da Estrategia Saude da Familia, do municipio de Sobral, a luz do referencial teorico de Avedis Donabedian. Trata-se de um estudo de carater descritivo-exploratorio, desenvolvido em Centros de Saude da Familia de Sobral, Ceara. Dos quatorze Centros de Saude investigados, quatro se mostraram com indicadores adequados para o pre-natal. Porem, ainda que existam inadequacoes na estrutura fisica, nao existem impedimentos para que se ofereca um atendimento de qualidade haja vista que o processo e os resultados tambem interferem na qualidade da assistencia.Face to public policies involving the quality of care for prenatal, the study aims to: assess the quality of prenatal care to the territories in the Family Health Strategy of the city of Sobral in the light of theoretical reference of Avedis Donabedian. This is a descriptive- exploratory study, developed by Family Health Units of Sobral, CE, Brazil. Of the fourteen Centers Health investigated, four were with appropriate indicators for prenatal care. But that although there are inadequacies in the physical structure, there are no impediments in order to provide a quality of care there is a view that the process and results also interfere with the quality of care.

Os projetos de pesquisa de enfermagem no CNPq: seu percurso, suas temáticas, suas aderências: 1998/2000

The present study analyses the themes proposed by research projects in nursing. It focuses on the projects that were sent to a Brazilian governmental research fomentation agency--CNPq--in the period of time between November 1998 and November 2000. The objective of this work is to identify the recurrent themes proposed in nursing research projects, and discuss its adherence to lines of research under study by nursing professionals which have the support of CAPES. It also relates these themes to the priorities of research established by CNPq. In order to achieve the objectives mentioned, an exploratory and descriptive study was carried out. The primary sources were evaluation grids of research projects. The secondary sources were studies, written and statistics reports from CNPq. Results show that most of the scholarships awarded by CNPq are in the southeast region of Brazil, where a larger number of researchers and post-graduation programs are concentrated. It also reveals that there is a diversity of themes being explored and that there is a relation between the themes and the parameters adopted for the studies.The present study analyses the themes proposed by research projects in nursing.
