This research develops conceptual model to elaborate the relationships between knowledge infrastructure, knowledge sharing behavior and innovation capability. This research presents more profound insights on which knowledge infrastructure regarded crucial in supporting knowledge sharing behavior. Besides it, explaining how knowledge sharing influences towards companys innovation capability. The result of this research is expected to leverage learning ability towards the development of knowledge sharing behavior within organization. Moreover this research is also expected to provide referential framework to researchers and practitioners on the components of knowledge infrastructure needed to be developed in order to build effective knowledge sharing behavior in an organization. Our research has identified several dimensions of knowledge infrastructure which are considered supporting knowledge sharing behavior: organizational culture, managerial, organizational structure, people, and information technology. This research is based on theory reasoned action to explain how knowledge infrastructure is able to form knowledge sharing behavior.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the impact of individual knowledge sharing and organizational learning capability to organizational learning outcomes. Despite its major contribution to national economy, SME still faced a lot of problem that make them have a low survival rate. In this rapid changing situation, become a learning organization through effective knowledge sharing activities is a key factor in organizations survival. SME, with its unique characteristics, need a specific and suitable strategy to maintain its sustainability using knowledge sharing activity. This research proposed a conceptual model for promoting organizational learning process through effective knowledge sharing in SMEs.

This paper aims to present knowledge management model at each stage of small and medium enterprises (SME) life cycle based on characteristics of each stage. Proposed model is formulated as a result of literature review from nine Organizational Life Cycle (OLC) model and some previous research of knowledge management in SMEs. Based on the differences of characteristics obtained from previous models, it can be concluded that each stage of OLC has a different dominant type of knowledge, main knowledge needs, and dominant knowledge management activities. For further research, this theoretical model can be used as a framework in a case study to test the model empirically.

Knowledge sharing activities that occur among doctors has a great value and benefits in improving the quality of medical treatment. The success factors of knowledge-sharing activities is the quality of communication among doctors. Knowledge sharing media that is currently considered quite effective is the community of practice (CoP). Research methodology used is to conduct studies in the literature on previous research and preliminary survey in several hospitals. The results of this study is a model that explains the factors that influence the effectiveness of sharing of knowledge among physicians using a CoP. Models are constructed is the primary reference in determining which factors are most significant influence on the effectiveness of knowledge sharing among physicians using a CoP media.

Purpose This study aims to develop a business process maturity model, especially on operation processes, based on the characteristics of each organisational growth stage, to increase SMEs growth. With this information, SMEs can identify their needs and priorities for business process improvement based on the characteristics that are inherent in the organisation. Design/methodology/approach The proposed model was developed by reviewing the literature on previous studies related to the organisational life cycle and its characteristics, as well as a business process maturity model. Furthermore, historical case studies were conducted to validate the proposed model. Case study objects in this research were fashion industry companies that have grown from SME scale to national level. Findings The results of this research indicate that the characteristics of each growth stage are different, which led to increased complexity and maturity of business processes run. Therefore, SMEs should pay attention to their grow...

The purpose of this paper is to describe interaction between intra-organizational knowledge sharing and inter-organizational knowledge sharing in collaborative learning process. Collaborative learning is defined as a learning process that occurs during interaction between more than two entities that have common purpose. Many previous research has shown that collaborative learning is an effective method to manage intellectual asset and speed up learning process in organization, especially for organization with limited resources like SMEs. Collaborative learning was facilitated through effective knowledge sharing between organization (inter-organizational knowledge sharing) and knowledge sharing within organization (intra-organizational knowledge sharing). Despite its importance, there were still limited number of research that describe interaction between those two knowledge sharing in collaborative learning process. This paper will develop a conceptual framework for intra-organizational and inter-organizational knowledge sharing in collaborative learning process based on previous research and literature. The developed framework will be validated using case study in two SME cluster in Indonesia.

This study aims to develop a model formulation of a knowledge management strategy based on the characteristics of organization growth stage and business processes are executed. Model development was done by studied the literature on previous researches related to the organization growth stages, business process models, especially the design process and product development, as well as knowledge management strategy models. Process characteristics identification was done using two dimensions, namely actors and decision makers in the product design and development process, and the period of implementation of design and development products. The conceptual model was validated by using a historical case study on a fashion company. The results showed that different characteristics of the growth stages causes the differences in the characteristics of business processes were executed. Therefore, every growth stage requires a different knowledge management strategy.

Nowadays, many organization used a Knowledge Sharing (KS) systems that is supported with ICTs. Many previous research used a combination of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) into social capital theory to describe users KS behavior. This research used a different approach in measuring technology aspect in KS. Technological aspect was measured by usability concept that has five indicator, that are usefulness, efficiency, effectiveness, learnability, satisfaction. The model also considered users self-efficacy in knowledge sharing. Questionnaire was distributed to 144 academics staff in several university in Bandung. From the final model it can be concluded that both self-efficacy and systems usability has a significant positive correlation with knowledge sharing. The data was divided into three group that represent three different work forces generation. Path analysis was done for each group and the final model showed that each group has different output.

This paper presents a case study that is aimed to analyse the effects of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure transformation on the changes in organizational structure and capability, in a major telecommunication company in Indonesia. Before elaborating the results of the case study, relevant models related to the impact of IT on the organization were studied. Based on the literature review, it was decided to use a process approach in explaining the IT transformation process. Using a process approach, several transformation stages, important influencing factors, the resulted benefits were identified in the longitudinal case study. Analysing the results of the case study, we found that the transformation of IT Infrastructure and the implementation of cloud computing infrastructure significantly change the organization structure and the capability.

The tacit knowledge held by physicians is rarely converted into explicit knowledge. The main challenge for doctors at teaching hospitals in Indonesia continues to be a high level of dependence on one doctor who has the knowledge. This study aims to conduct an analysis of the issues that can affect a physician’s ability to share knowledge with peers in an effort to reduce the level of dependence on physicians. The method used is based on survey respondents using surveymonkey.com. The results of the processing and analysis of the data shows that there are four hypotheses identified ability to share knowledge with the indicator value of t-count greater than the value of t-table. The main conclusion of this study is that a physician’s ability to share his knowledge with colleagues is strongly influenced by the ability to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the knowledge and the ability to document the knowledge that is shaped into the form of tacit or explicit knowledge. Other factors affecting the physicians’ ability to share knowledge are the frequency of interactions among them and the work environment where supporting a culture of sharing knowledge is expected as part of the organizational culture of teaching hospitals in Indonesia.
