The inclusion of mental health care actions in the context of the Brazilian Public Health System (SUS; Sistema Unico de Saude) contributes to the consolidation of the Brazilian Psychiatric reform and demands redirecting the practices of family health teams with users with mental health needs. The objective of this study is to identify and analyze the scientific production and actions developed by family health team professionals in mental health care. Systematic analysis originated the following themes: home visits to mentally ill patients and their relatives; attachment and welcoming; referrals; therapeutic workshops. In conclusion, the mental health actions developed in primary care are not performed consistently and depend on the professional or on the political decision of the administrator, which shows that professionals should use new practices to develop comprehensive care, and, therefore, there is a need to invest in improving the qualification of the professionals.

Exploratory study with qualitative approach that had as its main objective to identify the conception of the health professionals about Psychosocial Rehabilitation from a reference Center for the treatment of alcohol and other drugs related problems. The sample consisted of eleven health professionals with an academic degree, submitted to semi-structured interviews. The data analysis was made according to the hermeneutic dialectic method which originated the Psychosocial Rehabilitation category. The data demonstrated that in the professionals conception, the Psychosocial Rehabilitation is given in the realization of therapeutic workshops, outdoor activities, and the estabilishment of a partnership with other foundations. It is concluded that the concept of Psychosocial Rehabilitation that was made clear in the conception of these subjects is still associated to the traditional psychiatric model, which is attached to the logic of social normality, the main challenge to the psychosocial model of assistance to the alcohol and other drugs users.Exploratory study with qualitative approach that had as its main objective to identify the conception of the health professionals about Psychosocial Rehabilitation from a reference Center for the treatment of alcohol and other drugs related problems. Abstract The study aims to contextualize the emergence ofhome projects for people with mental disorders inBrazil based on the implantation of the PsychiatricReform in the 1980s and on the problem of psychia-tric hospitals’ residents. The study presents the re-sults of a bibliographic research carried out in theLILACS database about the theme. Different approa-ches to the subject of homes for people with mentaldisorders were found in the period of the three diffe-rent decades covered by the research: 1980s – attemptsto humanize the asylum spaces through shelteredhomes; 1990s - construction of the parameters forsupported housing, which starts to occupy the urbanspaces; from 2000 onwards – attempts to focus on themain actor of the homes, that is, those who reside inthem. However, the construction of these spaces doesnot guarantee the change in the logic of the instituti-onal relationships with people with mental disorders. Therefore, the challenge that remains is the rescue ofthe subjectivity of the people that reside in them. Keywords: Mental Health; Supported Housing; Psy-chiatric Reform.

The research identified clinical studies on the brief interventions for the abusive use of alcohol and analyzed the effectiveness of professional advises proposed to alcohol consumers. The systematic bibliographical study was based on articles published during the period of 1997 to 2010. Brief intervention strategy is effective in the reduction on the frequency and amount of alcohol use, with better results when the strategy is applied to the primary attention situations. All professionals obtained good results using this therapy. It was not possible to determine if the strategy is most effective when applied to harmful drinkers or to chronic drinkers, since the intervention also depends on the patients availability of motivational resources and on changes in attitude regarding the abusive use of alcohol.
