Notas etnográficas sobre o futebol de várzea

Este estudo tem como objetivo descrever e analisar o atual estado do futebol de varzea (futebol amador, de bairro) na cidade de Pelotas, Brasil. Atraves da metodologia da etnografia contemporânea, por meio de observacoes participantes (registros escritos e fotografias); entrevistas semi-estruturadas e da analise de documentos, realizamos um estudo detalhado do Campeonato Praiano e do Campeonato Citadino, as duas principais competicoes organizadas pela Liga Pelotense de Futebol Amador (LPFA). Concluimos que em Pelotas o futebol de varzea esta longe de acabar. Reinventado, ele continua a ser uma das principais praticas de lazer esportivo das classes trabalhadoras da cidade.

Combate à obesidade: uma análise da legislação brasileira

This essay had as purpose to analyze how the obesity is being approached in the Brazilian legislation. It was used the Speech Analysis (AS) in the Foucaultiana perspective as methodology. The empirical corpus consisted in a search for the key-words “obesity” and “overweight” in the web site Jusbrasil, where 46 rules were found. The analysis of this material indicated that it stands out a tendency to blame the obese, instigation to medical treatment and a discursive emphasis on the “combat” against obesity. It was found little concern on the guarantee of the rights of the group.

Relações parentais no futebol de salão: a experiência do Paulista Futebol Clube

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a participacao e as praticas de intervencao dos pais junto as escolinhas de futebol de salao – “futsal”. Para realizar o estudo, utilizamos o metodo da “Participacao Observante”, e alguns principios oriundos da Historia Oral. O foco empirico do estudo foi a equipe de Iniciacao (8 e 9 anos) do Paulista Futebol Clube. Apesar de a participacao desmedida dos pais interferir no trabalho do professor concluimos que ela porta certas positividades fundamentais na educacao infantil, cabendo aos professores o desafio de aprender a lidar com ela.

Estatuto de Defesa do Torcedor: um diálogo com o futebol pelotense

Este estudo objetiva analisar a situacao dos estadios de futebol profissional de Pelotas, tendo como referencia o Estatuto de Defesa do Torcedor (EDT), com atencao especial para as condicoes de higiene, seguranca, ingressos e transporte. Como metodologia, alem da analise documental do EDT realizamos visitas aos estadios em tres momentos com registros fotograficos e entrevistamos um dirigente de cada clube: Gremio Esportivo Brasil, Esporte Clube Pelotas e Gremio Atletico Farroupilha. Constatamos que a atencao dedicada pela midia e pelos orgaos fiscalizadores a implementacao do EDT esta sendo menor do que ocorreu no momento da sua publicacao.

O NASCIMENTO DO DISCURSO PATOLOGIZANTE DA OBESIDADE

In order to explore the emergence of the concept of obesity, this historical study is theoretically and methodologically referenced on Michel Foucault’s archaeo-genealogical discourse analysis, focusing on the aesthetic, ethical, moral, religious and biological inflections in the early pathologization of excess body fat. From the mid-17 th to the 19 th century, medical discourses invested in pathologizing ugliness of the corpulent, the gluttony of sinners and the vice of the intemperant. From enunciation of ugliness as disease to medicalization of discourse, pathologization of that condition is a relatively recent development in the West, as opposed to some historians’ views.

A nova "Era Dunga": o treinador como um dispositivo

The World Cup is the football event of major position in the media vehicles. In this sense this article is mainly aimed to make an analysis of the speech produced by a part of the Brazilian sports press on the performance of Dunga as coach of Brazil National Football Team. Making use of analysis of discourse in the same way as Michel Foucault uses, we analysed a series of speeches published in different media vehicles (newspapers, television, websites, magazines) in the period between the years 2006 until the begging of 2009. The conclusion of the study shows the existence of resistance movements that the Brazilian sports media had with the name of Dunga. Also noteworthy is the fact that Dunga represent another profile of technician, endorsing priority in its capital of a former player.

Memórias de corpos esportivizados: a natação feminina e o futebol infame

Este artigo toma como eixo para analise e reflexao duas pesquisas sobre as memorias do esporte pelotense – uma referente ao Futebol Menor da cidade e outra a participacao das mulheres na natacao local –, realizadas pelo grupo de pesquisa Estudos Culturais em Educacao Fisica. Alem de destacar as principais singularidades de cada uma delas, este texto procura assinalar certas semelhancas que se mostraram presentes nas memorias dessas duas praticas esportivas, aparentemente tao distintas. Similitudes instituidas, principalmente, por tratarem-se ambas de memorias corporais.

FORMAÇÃO DE JOGADORES EM CLUBES DE UMA CIDADE DO INTERIOR: CIRCULAÇÃO, ESCOLARIZAÇÃO EINSERÇÃO NO FUTEBOL PROFISSIONAL

This article approached formation of football players. The empirical corpus were five clubs from the city of Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It looks into the process of players’ formation, more specifically their origin, circulation, schooling and inclusion in professional football. The methodology applied was ethnographic aided by netnography. The research showed that about 50% of all players came from other cities; 22 out of 84 (total) had stopped going to school and many were already lagging behind in their studies. Fourteen players managed to sign professional contracts after leaving the junior leagues in their teams. The vast majority undergo a circulation process that hinders their possibility for reconciling sport and school.

O PROGRAMA PASSAPORTE BIOLÓGICO: CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE O GOVERNO DOS ATLETAS

This article whose main objective was to analyze the current policy proposals doping / anti-doping for sports performance. From an analysis of discourses propagated by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the Athlete Biological Passport Program and two interviews with individuals active in mainstream sports. Theoretically subsidized by the concepts of control society of Gilles Deleuze (1992), the study indicates how current policies doping/antidoping usurp innovations and scientific discoveries to build new strategies of control and manipulation of athletes.

SINGULARIDADES EDUCATIVAS DO FUTEBOL DO RECREIO

Esta pesquisa tem como justificativa a relevância cultural alcancada pelo futebol moderno e a sua presenca no espaco escolar. O objetivo central consiste em fazer uma descricao e uma analise cuidadosa sobre a presenca do futebol no recreio escolar. O estudo foi realizado a partir de uma perspectiva da etnografia contemporânea. Atraves de vinte observacoes sistematicas do recreio de uma escola particular da cidade de Pelotas – RS – Brasil e de dezessete entrevistas com criancas da quarta e da quinta series dessa mesma escola. O estudo apontou que o futebol do recreio, constitui-se em uma importante alteridade pedagogica as disciplinas curriculares.
