Semi hardwood cutting colleted in the medium portion of the Ascolano 315 and Arbequina olive cultivars were prepared with 12 cm of length and four leaves, and treated with of IBA (3,000 mg L-1) by five seconds. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse equipped with a mist nebulization system. Using a randomized experimental design in factorial scheme, in 4 replication, were tested the two cultivars and six fertilizers (Biofertilizante, Nippoterra, Fert Bokashi, Ativo, in the proportion of 25 mL L-1, Nutricafe and Rocksil, in the proportion of 25 g L-1) plus a control without fertilization. The products were applied in the trays contends perlite as substrate, in a unique dosage, defore cutting. After 67 days, the percentage of cutting with callus, rooted, number and lengh of rootses were evaluated. The Biofertilizante showed best results, in comparison to the other fertilizers, and the Ascolano 315 olive tree cultivar it presented best roots indexes.

The vegetative propagation of passion fruit can provide to obtain uniform seedlings and orchards, with the use of rootstocks with good characteristics such as tolerance to soil-borne diseases. The objective was to study methods of grafting at different ages of passion fruit plants after emergence. The experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Sector, of the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), in MG, on mesh with 50% shading. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a 2x4 factorial design, two methods of grafting (cleft grafting, splice grafting) and four times in budding (15, 25, 35 and 45 days after emergence). It was evaluated: percentage of grafting success, leaf number, plant height and diameter. It is concluded that the grafting of sour passion fruit on the sweet, both in cleft grafting and splice grafting, the best time to perform is 15 days after emergence, showing an index of grafting success of 98% in both methods.

Currently, there is lack of information about cutting rooting of olive cultivars for the highlands of MantiqueiraRange, in Minas Gerais. The objective of this study was to evaluate the rooting of different cultivars using perlite andsand as substrates. Cuttings of cultivars Maria da Fe, Mission, Penafiel, Grappolo 575, Galega, Ascolano 315 andGrappolo 54 were collected in January and prepared with approximately 12 cm in length, 4 mm in diameter and 4internodes, keeping four leaves in the first two nodes. The cuttings were treated with 3 mg L

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of specific doses of the compound 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), after harvest, on the physiological and physicochemical quality of apples Eva during refrigerated storage. After applying thetreatment with different doses of 1-MCP (0, 10, 50, 100 and 500mg L-1), fruit were stored in cold 0.5°C (±0.5) for up to 135 days. The cold storage with the application of 1-MCP resulted in a lower production of ethylene in fruits treated with doses of 10, 50 and 100mg L-1. The control group lost 45% of its firmness, while the treated groups lost on average 27% of their firmness the parameter C fruit color identified with a more intense color to the 135 days of storage and Hue angle showed that when treated with doses of 10 and 50mg L-1, fruit showed more yellow, evidenced best action of 1-MCP at low concentrations. Fruit that have not undergone the treatments showed a higher ratio of soluble solids and acidity, thus demonstrating increased metabolic activity.
