Capacidade para o trabalho entre trabalhadores de enfermagem do pronto-socorro de um hospital universitário

In a couple of years, the demographic and epidemiologic transition observed in Brazil will put this country in a worldwide position of prominence in relation to the aged population. Furthermore, the need for economic adaptation and consequent changes in Brazilian social security will result in workers staying in the labor market for a larger period of time, thus influencing their functional ability. This study aimed to evaluate work ability among nursing workers at the Emergency Service of a University Hospital. Study participants were fifty-four workers (40 women and 14 men), whose ages ranged from 23 to 53 years (average age 37.3 years). We used the Work Ability Index (WAI), an instrument developed in Finland, which presented an average value of 42.0. The most mentioned diseases with medical diagnosis were musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological. A utilização de fitoterapia no cotidiano de uma população rural

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivos estudar o uso da fitoterapia, em uma populacao da zona rural no interior de MG; identificar as plantas utilizadas com maior frequencia e formas de uso e comparar os seus efeitos com aqueles descritos na literatura. Foram entrevistadas 33 pessoas em 1997. Em relacao as plantas fitoterapicas conhecidas pelos entrevistados foram citadas 106, sendo 60 efetivamente utilizadas. A transmissao do conhecimento referente ao seu uso ocorreu basicamente dos avos para os filhos e netos. A fitoterapia foi utilizada com fins semelhantes aos descritos na literatura, visando a prevencao e tratamento das doencas.The aims of this study are to analyze the use of phytotherapy and the context of its utilization in a rural area population--MG; to identify the herbs used with more frequency and their forms of use; to compare the results of medicinal herbs with that described in literature. Thirty three people were interviewed in 1997. About the phytotherapy herbs known by them 106 different species were quoted, and 60 of them were effectively used in their routine. the transmission of knowledge related to the use of the herbs occurred basically from grandparents to the children. The phytotherapy was used by the population studied with similar purposes described in the literature aiming the prevention and treatment of diseases.

Saúde do trabalhador & terceirização: perfil de trabalhadores de serviço de limpeza hospitalar

Nas duas ultimas decadas, a terceirizacao de servicos possibilitou a reducao dos custos das empresas, pela racionalizacao de suas acoes e exploracao de relacoes precarias do trabalho. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo tracar o perfil dos trabalhadores terceirizados, que atuavam no servico de limpeza de um hospital universitario, identificar suas perspectivas em relacao ao processo saude-doenca e ao seu futuro. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, de abordagem quantitativa, com amostragem aleatoria, com 50 trabalhadores. A maioria comecou a trabalhar precocemente, 74% eram do sexo feminino e com baixa escolaridade. Dos entrevistados, 36% referiram doencas diagnosticadas pelo medico. No periodo estudado, 84% dos trabalhadores entrevistados realizaram consultas medicas, totalizando 181 consultas, resultando em media 3,6 consultas por trabalhador, sendo a mais frequente, 56%, com o clinico geral. A analise dos dados possibilitou a identificacao das perspectivas desses profissionais em relacao ao processo saude/doenca e ao seu futuro.

Projeto de vida de um grupo de adolescentes à luz de Paulo Freire

This study aims to get to know the life project of a group of adolescents at a Basic Health Unit in Marilia-SP. A qualitative research was carried out through semi-structured interviews and group meetings, using the educational group technique with participant observation from the focus of Paulo Freires theory. Throughout group discussions, three questions arose: what is being an adolescent; what is being healthy and what is the adolescents life project. These themes were analyzed from the focus of Minayo. The analysis indicated that the adolescents have a life project, in spite of the characteristic difficulties of the socioeconomic conditions they belong to, a fact they perceive. The practice of Freires ideals enhanced dialogue between the researcher and the group, pointing out that this is one way for a true critical reflection of the identified problems, providing adolescents with a means for making others aware and fighting for their life project.This study aims to get to know the life project of a group of adolescents at a Basic Health Unit in Marilia-SP. Software educativo sobre diabetes mellitus para profissionais de saúde: etapas de elaboração e desenvolvimento

Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo elaborar um software sobre diabetes mellitus para dar subsídios à educação continuada dos profissionais de saúde e suas práticas educativas. O sistema foi desenvolvido utilizando o aplicativo Delphi, que manipula banco de dados, usando palavras-chave para sua abertura e utilizando a linguagem de programação Pascal. O software inclui mecanismos de busca, por meio de palavras-chave, agilizando o processo de consulta da base de dados.

Desenvolvimento da especialidade saúde e trabalho, no departamento de enfermagem do Hospital Virtual Brasileiro

The goal of this study is to create a page on internet about the Health and Work speciality, at the Nursing Department of a Brazilian Virtual Hospital. The page structure is divided in these subjects: Unified Health System, Unified Health System and the Operational Occupational Health Norm, a small history about work organization, life quality and courses and links about this subject. The authors utilized the navigation and programming methodology of hyper text markup language (HTML) to develop the www pages bibliographic revision as well as peer review with respect to the content on the areas of work and health.O objetivo deste estudo e criar uma pagina na internet, sobre a especialidade Saude e Trabalho, no Departamento de Enfermagem do Hospital Virtual Brasileiro. A estrutura da pagina esta dividida nos seguintes temas: Sistema Unico de Saude (SUS); SUS x Norma Operacional de Saude do Trabalhador (NOST); Breve historico da organizacao do trabalho; Qualidade de vida; Eventos e links sobre o tema. Foi utilizada a metodologia de navegacao e programacao HTML (hyper text markup language) para o desenvolvimento das paginas WWW, revisao bibliografica dos ultimos anos, atraves de bibliotecas e da propria internet; alem da revisao por especialistas na area de Saude e Trabalho.

Memória educativa e a tessitura de conceitos educacionais: experiência vivenciada na licenciatura em enfermagem

E relatada uma experiencia desenvolvida na Licenciatura em Enfermagem, tendo como referencia a incorporacao e a problematizacao da memoria relativa as vivencias dos educandos. Partiu-se das representacoes e significacoes das experiencias educativas dos alunos, que, por meio de processos de reflexao e leituras sao ressignificadas, possibilitando outras tessituras de conceitos educacionais, alem de permitir a elaboracao de outras concepcoes de mundo, homem, sociedade e educacao. Essa proposta mostra um caminho viavel e significativo para desenvolver uma melhor compreensao e aprofundamento dos conceitos vivenciados, reconstruindo-os em suas relacoes politicas, sociais e culturais, viabilizando uma reflexao critica e mudancas em sua pratica profissional.
