Violência entre jovens: dinâmicas sociais e situações de vulnerabilidade

Esse estudo busca analisar as dinâmicas sociais implicadas na vida de jovens vitimas de violencias por meio da (re)construcao das relacoes cotidianas discutindo situacoes de vulnerabilidade. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo-exploratorio, utilizando o genograma e ecomapa como instrumentos de coleta de dados. Entrevistou-se 23 jovens vitimas desse evento, no municipio de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Adotou-se analise de conteudo do tipo tematico. Nas interacoes sociais dos jovens, observou-se fragilizacao das redes de relacoes. A maioria desses jovens sao oriundos de familias com precaria insercao social e economica. A formacao escolar e reconhecida enquanto garantia de inclusao social, no entanto para alguns os problemas do ensino publico e a violencia intra e extramuros, colaboram para a descaracterizacao da escola como espaco protegido e de aprendizagem. Conhecer as dinâmicas sociais implicadas nas situacoes de vulnerabilidade, auxilia na compreensao desse fenomeno e pode influenciar acoes de prevencao e promocao a partir dos servicos de saude.The purpose of this study is to analyze the social dynamics implied in the life of youngsters, victims of violence, by (re) constructing the day-to-day relations and, therefore, discussing vulnerability situations. It is a descriptive and exploratory study that uses the genogram and the ecomap as instruments for data collection. Interview was carried out with 23 young victims of these events in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Content analysis of the thematic type was adopted. From the social interactions of the surveyed youngsters, we observed the fragility of their relationship networks. Regarding the family environment, evidence shows that most of the youngsters come from families with precarious social and economic background. School education is recognized as a guarantee of social inclusion; however for some, the problems with state education and violence in and out of school collaborate for the decharacterization of the school as a protected and learning space. Learning the social dynamics implied in situations of vulnerability helps to understand this phenomenon and can influence prevention and promotion actions from health services.

VIOLÊNCIA E ACIDENTES: CONCEPÇÕES DE JOVENS VÍTIMAS DESSES AGRAVOS

This article has the objective of learning and analyzing the conceptions of youngsters regarding accidents and violence. It is an exploratory and analytical study with support on the typology of qualitative studies. It was developed at the Health District 7 in the municipality of Porto Alegre – RS with 23 youngsters, fifteen out of them male and eight female, who suffered some kind of violence or accident. Data was collected through semi-structured interview, and the Content Analysis was of the Thematic Type. Their conceptions were split into central ideas that reveal the following relevant structures: Ideas about violence: death, crime and drug trafficking; ideas that show different form of violence in everyday life: interpersonal, sexual and verbal and ideas that characterize the concept of accident: transit. One draws the conclusion that the conceptions described by the youngsters regarding accidents and violence are centered in a set of features from the family, political, economic, social and cultural contexts.

Morbidity due to External Causes among youngsters in an area of the municipality of Porto Alegre-RS

This study aims at learning and understanding the morbidity due to External Causes among youngsters, considering the demand for health care services in the Area of Lomba do Pinheiro and Partenon in the municipality of Porto Alegre – RS over the time frame between 2002 and 2005. The intention is discussing situations of vulnerability regarding age group, gender relations and community life experience, among others. It is a hybrid descriptive epidemiological study of the ecologic type aggregated to a time series with elements of qualitative collection and analysis. The research constitutes a Master Paper Project from the Nursing Post-Graduation Program of the Nursing School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.

Ethics of care in public health educative actions - a literature review

This paper analyses ethical aspects of care within the context of public health educative actions by highlighting the practice of nursing professionals from reflections and inquiries regarding the ethical dimension of care. The ethical relations of care imply human relationships and, consequently, complex relations. Therefore, it is necessary that each subject be respected and welcome according to his/her needs what requires the construction of ties, between the professional and the patient, regulated by ethics and respect. Finally, it is pointed out that ethics in nursing pervades a holistic view of the human being what allows the nurse to recognize his/her competences and responsibilities with the patients. It is up to these professionals to take over their commitment as health educators within this process of social reconstruction by struggling for the fulfillment of public health policies and by overcoming the assistance practice and by rescuing the quality in the attendance of the population by means of competent, responsible and humanized nursing care.
