Processo de formação da(o) enfermeira(o) na contemporaneidade: desafios e perspectivas

El objetivo del presente articulo es reflexionar acerca del proceso de formacion de los enfermeros en la actualidad. Se trata de una reflexion basada en una investigacion bibliografica en articulos publicados en las bases de datos LILACS y ScIELO, utilizando los siguientes descriptores: curriculo, ensenanza, educacion, enfermeria. Fueron encontrados 39 articulos, de los cuales se seleccionaron 25, por medio de la lectura de los respectivos resumenes. A continuacion, se utilizo el metodo de lectura cientifica para la organizacion del articulo en dos temas: los retos en la trayectoria de la educacion en enfermeria en el Brasil y, retos y perspectivas en la reorientacion del proceso de formacion de los enfermeros. Se reitera que la resistencia a los cambios, la poca reflexion sobre la docencia, el distanciamiento de los servicios de salud, el fortalecimiento de la clasica dicotomia entre el pensar y el hacer, presente en gran parte de la practica docentes, son algunos de los retos a enfrentar y superar para mejora de la formacion de los enfermeros en la actualidad.The objective of this article is to reflect on the contemporary nursing formal education process. It is a consideration subsidized by bibliographical research in articles published in the LILACS and SciIELO data-bases, using the following keywords: curriculum, teaching, education, and nursing. Thirty-nine articles were found, of which 25 were selected by means of reading the respective abstracts. Thereon the scientific reading method was used, organizing the articles into two topics: challenges in the course of nursing education in Brazil, and challenges and perspectives in reorienting the formal nursing education process. It should be observed that resistance to changes, shallow consideration about teaching, and distancing health care services, with reinforcement to the classic dichotomy between thinking and acting, present in a large portion of the teaching practice, are some of the challenges to be faced and overcome in order to improve the contemporary formal nursing education process. Ensino da enfermagem psiquiátrica/saúde mental: sua interface com a Reforma Psiquiátrica e diretrizes curriculares nacionais

Estudo teorico acerca do processo de formacao em Enfermagem Psiquiatrica e Saude Mental, frente as crescentes mudancas no mundo globalizado e seu acelerado processo de modernizacao cientifica e tecnologica. Objetiva discutir o fazer pedagogico no ensino da Enfermagem Psiquiatrica e Saude Mental, e sua interface com os principios da Reforma Psiquiatrica e das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais dos Cursos de Graduacao em Enfermagem. Para sua sustentacao teorica, adota como referencia alguns construtos da Reforma Psiquiatrica e das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais do Curso de Graduacao em Enfermagem, e sua relacao com fatores constituintes do fazer pedagogico na Enfermagem Psiquiatrica e Saude Mental. Evidencia que nao basta apontar questoes tecnicas relativas a conteudos e ensino, procedimentos didaticos, metodos e tecnicas pedagogicas; e necessario superar desafios e implementar as mudancas, pautando-se numa nova perspectiva, e ousando colocar em questao a natureza do saber e das praticas institucionais psiquiatricas.This theoretical study addresses the education system for Psychiatric Nursing in an increasingly changing world of accelerated scientific and technological modernization. The objective is to discuss the pedagogy in Psychiatric Nursing, and its interface with the principles of the Brazilian psychiatric reform and national curriculum guidelines of nursing undergraduate courses. The theoretical foundation of the study consisted of constructs of the Brazilian psychiatric reform and national curriculum guidelines of nursing undergraduate courses and their relationship to factors constituting the pedagogy in psychiatric nursing. The study shows that it is not enough to identify technical issues regarding contents and teaching, didactic procedures, methods and pedagogical techniques; it is necessary to implement changes, using a new perspective and by daring to question the nature of knowledge and institutional psychiatric practices.

Aderência de cursos de graduação em enfermagem às diretrizes curriculares nacionais na perspectiva do sistema único de saúde

Resumen The study aimed to grasp the record of the didactic-pedagogic coherence in nursing graduate courses with the National Curriculum Guidelines for Nursing in the Unified Public Health System (SUS – Sistema Unico de Saude) perspective, according to students perceptions. The exploratory/descriptive qualitative study took place in four nursing graduate programs in a northeastern city in Brazil. The subjects were students who, through interviews, have indicated that the relationship among the institutions that form the SUS takes place at the time of practices implementations, as well as in the teaching of the principles and guidelines from SUS, moreover, in the curricular activities and in the research and extension projects. Others have also mentioned not realizing such relationship in their academic process. Expansão da educação superior no Brasil: ampliação dos cursos de graduação em enfermagem

OBJETIVO: analisar a ampliacao do numero de cursos de graduacao em enfermagem nas ultimas duas decadas, frente ao movimento de expansao da educacao superior no Brasil. Metodologia: foi realizada pesquisa documental sobre os marcos legais, que impulsionaram esse movimento, e pesquisa quantitativa, que descreveu a expansao do numero de cursos de enfermagem. Os dados foram analisados por meio da analise tematica (qualitativos) e da estatistica descritiva (quantitativos). RESULTADOS: o discurso politico-ideologico, presente nos documentos normativos que apontam a educacao superior como possibilidade de transformacao da realidade social, nao vem se refletindo na area da enfermagem. A expansao dos cursos de enfermagem vem se dando de maneira desordenada, concentrada no setor privado e com desigualdade geografica na distribuicao desses cursos. CONCLUSAO: nao se observa preocupacao com as necessidades locais, com a articulacao entre o ensino, a pesquisa e extensao, fato esse que compromete a qualidade da formacao das futuras enfermeiras.OBJECTIVE This study analyzed the increase in the number of undergraduate nursing courses during the last two decades due to the expansion of higher education in Brazil. RESULTS the political-ideological argument present in the regulatory documents, which points out higher education as a possibility to change the current social scenario, has not been reflected in the professional nursing field. The expansion of nursing courses has been unfolding in a disorderly manner and is concentrated in the private sector, with geographical inequality in the distribution of these courses. CONCLUSION There does not seem to be a concern with the local needs and with a connection among education, research and extension, which compromises the quality of the education provided to future nurses.

Contribuição do curso especialização, modalidade de residência para o saber profissional

Objective: Analyze the contribution of a Nurse residency specialization program to the graduates’ professional know-how. Methods: Qualitative research, involving 40 nurses graduated from a residency specialization program. Interviews were held, transcribed and analyzed using thematic content analysis. Results: The information was grouped according to similarity in two categories: (1) development of professional know-how and (2) deductive/inductive education. Based on the first, it was identified that the course provided the following contributions: theoretical foundations in the accomplishment of the practices, safety in the development of work and professional identity. The second showed the course’s contributions as an expanded view on care beyond the biological and the preparation of a trained professional. Conclusion: The course contributed to the development of the graduates’ professional knowledge by deepening the technical-scientific knowledge in a rational, critical and reflexive manner, based on deductive/inductive education.

Expansion of higher education in Brazil: increase in the number of Undergraduate Nursing courses

Prevention and monitoring of delirium in older adults: an educational intervention

OBJECTIVE to conduct an educational intervention with the nursing team members of an intensive care unit (ICU), aiming to increase knowledge and to introduce improvements in their practices regarding prevention and monitoring of delirium in older patients. METHOD this is an action research, in which workshops were conducted with eleven nurses and a nursing technician from an ICU unit in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. RESULTS ten problems regarding nursing practices for prevention and monitoring of delirium were identified. Educational, practical, technical, and managerial actions were planned, involving cross-sector connections for planning ways to solve these problems. The groups reported significant changes in the practices, with the implementation of drug-free measures for preventing and managing the situation. CONCLUSION the educational intervention contributed to improve the nursing practices in the ICU unit studied, and it also favored the development of critical thinking about the problems mentioned, thus enabling permanent review of offered treatments.

Ensino médio profissionalizante: caracterização da produção científica na área da pós-graduação

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to identify and characterize the scientific production generated in graduate programs in Brazil, between 1994 and 2011. METHODS: Descriptive exploratory study using a quali-quantitative approach, consisting in the analysis of the quantitative processes of the production, dissemination and use of information, allowing to identify behaviors in literature and its evolution in a certain context and time, as well as the analysis of contents proposed by Bardin, as a systematic and objective analysis technique to describe the contents of the messages to characterize the scientific production. RESULTS: A total of 74 studies were identified, of which 85.14% (63) were academic dissertations, 8.1% (6) were professional dissertations and 6.76% (5) were theses. This production was more significant in the years of 2005 and 2009, with 10.80% (8) and 12.15% (9), respectively. The South and Southeast regions were the most productive, whereas there was a lack of studies in the North region. From the studies produced, 78.38% (58) approached the teaching-learning process, 12.16% (9) approached curriculum directives and 9.46% (7) administrative-management aspects of the schools. CONCLUSION: The scientific production in the period was identified and most of the theses were characterized as teaching-learning processes.
