Knowledge management (KM) has emerged as a new discipline in managing organization. It plays important roles in establishing long term internal strength and supporting external competitive advantage. The purpose of this study is to gauge the level of KM practices in MSC status organizations. It also shows relationship between demography of respondents with KM influential factors in those organizations. Survey question which consists of 4 main KM influential factors were distributed. Results of 121 data sets have been collected from 4 MSC-status organizations. Mean score and One Way ANOVA are applied to identify the level of KM practices. This also identifies the relation between the demography and KM factors. It is found out that KM practices in MSC status organizations are at medium level. There are significant differences in KM practices with respect to age of respondents and job designation. It can be concluded that sufficient attention should be given to culture, information technology, organization structure and people to achieve success in KM practices.

Received: 9 February 2016 Abstract Accepted: 17 May 2016 This paper presents an overview of the state of knowledge on temperature measurement in the cutting area during magnesium alloy milling. Additionally, results of own research on chip temperature measurement during dry milling of magnesium alloys are included. Tested magnesium alloys are frequently used for manufacturing elements applied in the aerospace industry. The impact of technological parameters on the maximum chip temperature during milling is also analysed. This study is relevant due to the risk of chip ignition during the machining process.

Human development and human welfare are important ends in Islamic economic development, and hence the need to focus on a broader approach, in evaluating the condition of people in society. The findings of the study indicate that Islamic micro-finance is a growing market niche with a comprehensive approach towards human empowerment, increased income and well-being. The income generated by the clients is utilized to improve health conditions and the educational level of children. Zakat and Awqaf institutions are regaining their momentum towards socio-economic relevance. These institutions are requisite for generating community assets, productive capacity building, wealth creation and knowledge and skills that will enhance the technical standing of entrepreneurs. This approach towards financial inclusion could bring improvements in human capital development, education and skills development, better provision of physical capital and wider access to micro-credit for the productive poor.

Effectiveness of inventory management is a vital part in the manufacturing organization to be more competitive. The previous studies have indicated that there are several factors influencing the effectiveness of inventory management in the organization but there is lack of researchers who carried out the research in the manufacturing small medium enterprise in Johor. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify the problem of inventory management faced by the manufacturing small medium enterprise and also to determine the factors that will influence the effectiveness of inventory management. In completing this research, 80 employees were selected randomly from the manufacturing small medium enterprise in Batu Pahat, Johor and they were requested to complete questionnaires. The result have shown that the problems of inventory management faced by manufacturing organization were underproduction, overproduction, stock out situation, delays in the delivery of raw materials and discrepancy of records. The factors, documentation/store records, planning, knowledge of employees/staff skill have shown to significantly influence the effectiveness of inventory management while the funds have shown slightly significant influence on the inventory management in manufacturing small medium enterprises. This quantitative study is important to the manufacturing organization in Malaysia because it provides the guidelines to the employers of manufacturing small medium enterprises in Batu Pahat, Johor.

Most organizations, such as University Libraries focus on enhancing their capability of knowledge processes to create new knowledge. The aim of this paper is to revealed empirically levels and types of KM practices applied at Malaysian university libraries. Based on 300 questionnaires through online, a survey was administered to a Lead User group of libraries (PhD candidates) in Malaysia. This is to elicit opinion of the prime users on the linkage between Knowledge Management Practice (KMP) and Library Users’ Satisfaction (LUS). SPSS software and AMOS 18 were utilized to analyze research data. Furthermore, a meaningful linkage was observed between Knowledge Management Practice (KMP) and Library Users’ Satisfaction (LUS) based on the empirical findings. Major contribution of the paper is to provide groundwork empirical evidence about the linkage between Knowledge Management Practice (KMP) and Library Users’ Satisfaction (LUS) at Malaysian university libraries.
