Wireless communication technology is one of the most popular and important communications at this moment. The field of robotics includes various sectors such as factory sector, manufacturing and security. These papers describe research and investigation on mobile technologies usage such as 3G for mobile robot controller. Prototype development to be done to determine the capability of technology used to control a mobile robot by using specific commands by using a specific programming language. Then, research about the techniques use for transferring data from mobile devices using mobile technology for the mobile robot will be done. The results of this research are expected to provide benefits to consumers and mobile device manufacturers to optimize the usability of mobile devices owned or produced.

This endeavor proposes the development of a new computer-aided design (CAD) system given name as Packaging-Computer Aided Design (PackCAD). This system is proposed with a special intention and attention to support the design process of packaging food products by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) irrespective of the minimum skills in handling a computers. Users are only required to select the pull-place (drag-drop) packaging form made in the template (stored in the data library) PackCAD in standard form or set free to change or resize the form according to the needs of food produced. The design constructed using PackCAD can be easily saved and opened to other CAD system.

Mobile communication technology is one of the most popular and important communications at this moment. The field of robotics includes various sectors such as factory sector, manufacturing and security. This paper presents the utilization of different mobile technology for mobile robot controller such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Wireless LAN and 3G. Comparison of the frequency, data rate and range for each mobile technology used in this application are discussed. For future work, we propose the development of mobile robot controller via mobile technology, which is 3G technology. The results of this research are expected to provide benefits to consumers and mobile device manufacturers to optimize the usability of mobile devices.

In manufacturing industry, engineering drawing is used to facilitate the process of designing a product. In real situations, engineering drawing is usually in large quantities and not in order. In the process of designing a product, it produced many drawing. This paper describes a research and development of an extraction technique in the field of engineering drawing. Non-geometry information that will be emphasis in this research is version number.

Mobile technologies and devices are being upgraded at an enormous speed. The market offers a variety of mobile devices and a number of different technologies. At this moment, wireless communication technology is one of the most popular and important communications in mobile technologies area. However, the growth of this technology not fully utilized as a mobile robot controller. The field of robotics includes various sectors such as factory sector, manufacturing and security. These papers describe research and investigation on mobile robot controller via mobile technologies. The most important in this paper is to compare the data transferring technique for mobile robot controller. Among the techniques in this study were Data Oriented Transfer Service (DOT), Distributed Parallel Storage System (DPSS), GridFTP and Black-Bus. For future work, we propose the development of mobile robot controller via mobile technology which is 3G technology. The results of this research are expected to provide benefits to consumers and mobile device manufacturers to optimize the usability of mobile devices.

In manufacturing industry, engineering drawing is used to facilitate the process of designing a product. In real situation, the engineering drawing is usually available in a large quantity and not in order. This is due to many drawings are produced in the process of designing a product. Effective access of engineering drawings from various numbers of engineering drawings is very challenging. Engineer can reduce the cost of designing a new product by retrieving the original drawings of components from the database in the CAD software. This paper presents a review on extraction of non-geometry information in engineering drawing. It explores the past studies on the existing extraction methods discovered by numerous researchers in the field of engineering drawing. In this research, the information that will be extracted is non-geometry information such as length, thickness, radius, diameter and labels. The comparative example of extraction in engineering drawing of previous research has been carried out.

There are various computer-aided design (CAD) systems currently available in the market but mostly are general for common products. Especially for food packaging design, its features in the general CAD systems are limited and insufficient. In fact, the availability of CAD systems for such purpose is also scarce. Without having appropriate options, manufacturers relating to packaging businesses have to spend in high cost to purchase systems that are not really specific to their needs. Packaging design has its distinctive characteristics. Understanding this gap, the authors intend to develop a CAD system concentrating on food packaging dedicated for national small and medium enterprises. As an initial stage, the authors have done studies on aspects of CAD for product packaging, software for CAD system development, the CAD systems produced by Malaysians, data exchange methods, and the methodology of development applied as contained in this paper.

Packaging development has its own characteristics thus requires special approaches and methods of work. Although these products have good quality, but aspects are not comparable packaging, the products produced may be difficult to compete in the market especially competitive at international level. This endeavor proposes the development of a new computer-aided design (CAD) system given name as Packaging-Computer Aided Design (PackCAD). Since the features of respective software are unique and varied, they should be able to communicate among themselves. The purpose of this work is to study data exchange method to develop content for PackCAD system.

When designer designing a new engineering drawing, they will refer to the previous valid design document that same or nearly match with their new design specification. Previous design have been reviewed, analyzed and proven to be successful. By using the previous design, it likely saves significant resources and manpower. In real situations, engineering drawing is usually in large quantities and not in order. This paper describes a research and development of an extraction technique in the field of engineering drawing. Non-geometry information that will be emphasis in this research is information that available in the title block.
