We approach the implementation of the Curricular Guidelines of degree in nursing in Paraná identifying the curricular changes triggered, analyzing changes made and identifying pedagogical principles that were effectively materialized with the new proposals. We found a growth around 80% of private courses/schools of nursing. We analyze 9 political pedagogical projects showing that some courses have their own constructions from the curricular guidelines. Others are suited to them literally. The data relating to education focused on the student; the role of the professor; the pedagogy of skills; the learning to learn; the Unified Health System as a focus of the training; a licenciature/education in nursing; the research in the graduation; the times in training and the methodological approach of the course testify this assertion.

Descriptores: Enfermeria; Salud del Anciano; Atencion de Enfermeria; Atencion Integral de Salud; Investigacion Cualitativa.OBJECTIVE To understand how nurses see care delivery to elderly women. ABSTRACT ABSTRACT ABSTRACT ABSTRACT We present data about the higher education from a review of the national context to particularize the higher education in health and nursing and teaching trends in this field. We systematize data on education in Lulas government, noting the continuity and deepening of politics for higher education in Brazil, especially in regard to privatization and the transfer of resources to the private sector. In higher education in health we found that the official politic points to the adoption of innovative/active methodologies; the methodology of problematization as the only way to propose innovative curricular changes and acceptable when you receive the state incentive for the initiatives of change that are also observed in the experiences of curricular reforms of Brazilian nursing.

Qualitative study based on the Social Phenomenology of Alfred Schutz with the aim of understanding the care for the dependent elderly mother from the daughters point of view. Achieved in 2011 with ten participants, who were interviewed at home from their mothers. The typical caring daughters action makes her as being the one who establishes a caring relation focused by preoccupation with the situation of the elderly mothers dependency, which generates one inversion of roles from mother and daughter. It shows a physical, physic and emotional wearing resulting from the day by day caring, needing a social support to help her in this care. Looking forward to keeping the mothers life and postponing as much as possible the end of her life. This result arising to the care professionals concerning planning and achieving the home care to think in effective articulation between the requirements both daughter and elderly mothers show. DESCRIPTORS: Nursing. Aging. Family relations. Caregivers. Qualitative research.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the implementation of Rede Mae Paranaense (Mother Network of the State of Parana) in three Health Regions (RS) in the State of Parana: the 9th, 10th and 17th ones. The research assessed their implementation also before (2010, 2011) as after (2012, 2013) it carrying out. We opted for documental data collection that applied a validated form encompassing five domains and whose average resulted in the Evaluative Index (IA). From this IA, values above the score 70 were considered adequate, while those below were considered inadequate. The 10th RS presented the best IA after the Rede deployment, followed by the 17th, while the 9th RS did not reach adequate values, showing the need to improve the Rede structure, mainly concerning to the professionals qualification with regard to information systems.

This study aimed to understand how the health service’s doctors realize the “Programa Rede Mãe Paranaense” and how they act in the Program. A qualitative methodology was used from the perspective of Alfred Schutz’s social phenomenology. Seven interviews were performed between June and August 2014, by analysing 3 categories were identified: Knowledge about the “Programa Rede Mãe Paranaense”, Assistance in the Program and Expectations about the Program. The results show that doctors have knowledge about the program, but the participants said they didn’t have a special training to operate it. When referring to humanized care, it’s necessary to evaluate the actions considering the professional knowledge that each interviewed has. The information systems are not used and are not considered important during the assistance planning by the professionals, but they would like to know more about it. This study could help in improving the training and performance of professionals in maternal and child health. Descriptors: Government Programs; Public Policies; Health Promotion.

FATORES EPIDEMIOLÓGICOS CORRELACIONADOS AO RISCO PARA MORTE FETAL: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA

Rosane Meire Munhak da Silva; Bruna Ribeiro Mazotti; Adriana Zilly; Helder Ferreira; Sebastião Caldeira

Introduction: Despite the progress made in health care, it appears that fetal death remains a concern for public health services for a long time. It was neglected, and few investments were made to reduce it. Objective: Search scientific evidence demonstrating fetal, maternal, and social risk factors are related to fetal death. Material and Method: Integrative literature review of 16 papers from Scielo, Bireme and Pubmed, between 2005 and 2014, only in English and Portuguese and selected from the question: What fetal, maternal, and social risk factors are associated with fetal death? Titles and abstracts were read to select those to be read in their entirety, and for this, two researchers read the publications in order to see if the inclusions were consistent. Data collection occurred from September to December 2014. The hierarchical classification system known as level of evidence was used. Results: Publications cite risk factors for fetal death are not isolated events. The fetal risk factors described in 43.75% of the studies highlighted the low weight and congenital malformation. Maternal factors were cited in 81.25% of the articles, especially those related to maternal morbidities, such as hypertensive and hemorrhagic syndromes, syphilis, and gestational diabetes. In 43.75% of the publications, we could perceive the influence of low education, as well as black or brown skin; low socioeconomic conditions and inadequate prenatal care. Conclusion: Building studies on fetal health becomes relevant, since these have been little explored despite their incontestable importance for public health, and consider it as an indicator of quality of care prenatal.
