Para um agronegócio sem exclusão

Ever since the creation of groups of unemployed rural workers, as a result of the industrialization of rural areas, governments have been allocating resources for the disappropriation of lands for agrarian reform, without considering the need for an adequate infrastructure and mainly the means for providing the citizens who lived in those lands with a standard quality of living. This article suggests a change in the Brazilian agroindustrial policy to offer rural jobs, taking advantage of the exporting nature of the agriculture business. The experience of other countries with social issues is taken into account.

Tecnologia de informação e mudança: uma abordagem crítica

This article critically analyzes the purely “tecnicist” and instrumental perspective that prevails in the information technology (IT) literature. The adaptive changes are differentiated from the paradigmatic changes, and the changes enabled by the IT are restricted to the efforts to improve the organization performance still within the dominant paradigm. Within the adaptive changes facilitated by IT, it is discussed how the distortions caused by the instrumental reasoning in the stakeholders’ perception of the nature of information, language, communication and cognitionseriously hurt the strategic management of information systems. Without neglecting the consequences of these distortions, it is defended that the IT myth brings consequences even worse, once this conception assumes that IT, by itself, can change the world. Presupposing that, to confront the myth, new epistemologies are necessary, aspects of the systemic view, critical theory and post-modernism are presented. To overcome the limits of the instrumental reasoning, the article suggests a paradigmatic and ideological change perspective, supported by a substantive reasonthat direct people’s actions towards the search of ecology equilibrium and the practice of social justice, situating the debate of the change process on an ethical perspective.

Relacionamentos interpessoais e emoções nas organizações: uma visão biológica

This article discusses the treatment given by the organizational theory to interpersonal relationships, for its dominantly rationalistic, instrumental, and prescriptive form, only partially integrated to its main element: emotion. The article suggests a new line of research for developing a substantive theory of intra and inter-organizational relationships, centered in the emotion of love, according to its biological concept. It also proposes that the investigation use the experience of the communion economy project as a reference.

Terceirização: uma análise desconstrutivista

A terceirizacao e uma tecnica que vem sendo utilizada em larga escala e e vista como uma alternativa de desverticalizacao para tornar as organizacoes mais flexiveis as mudancas do mercado. Com uma visao tradicional instrumental–economica, a terceirizacao aparentemente tem pouca preocupacao com os aspectos relacionados a qualidade das relacoes de trabalho. A pouca discussao sobre a possibilidade de uma visao substantiva, preocupada com o bem-estar das partes envolvidas na relacao contratual, coloca-a imersa num dualismo binario e hierarquico que distancia os dois lados de uma legitima condicao de parceria, em que a dimensao humana e um aspecto relevante. A desconstrucao critica foi utilizada de forma empirica, em um estudo de caso, com o objetivo de descobrir significados escondidos num contrato de terceirizacao. Conclui-se que por mais que as empresas busquem o conceito de parceria, na pratica ocorre o contrario, demonstrando que o proposito e obter alguma vantagem dessa relacao. A visao do contrato e essencialmente mercantil.

Economia de comunhão e organizações de aprendizagem: compatibilidades conceituais

ABSTRACT Based on a prior study suggesting that companies of the communion economy project are learning-oriented, mainly because of the quality of their interpersonal and interorganizational relationships, this article compares the practice of those firms with the concept of learning organizations. Fourteen conceptual characteristics of learning organizations were tested on employees and managers of four firms of the project, and considerable similarities between the two organizational concepts were detected

Economia de comunhão e aprendizagem: uma perspectiva epistêmica

This article compares and analyzes pertinent epistemologies to guide the theorization on the communion economy project (EoC) practices. It considers academic studies published in Brazil about that Christian-oriented entrepreneurial and economic project. It also takes into account the vocation of those small and medium enterprises for collective learning and examines the underlying assumptions of business administration research paradigms. Its purpose is to contribute for the formulation of an EoC theory.

Em Busca de uma Abordagem Integrativa do Conhecimento Organizacional

Contribuicoes sobre a gestao de conhecimento e a aprendizagem organizacional para uma estrategia organizacional sustentavel tem suscitado interesse crescente nos ultimos anos. No entanto, a corrente tradicional desses estudos e a teoria da firma baseada no conhecimento nao possibilitam uma perspectiva mais ampla e integradora do problema. Este ensaio sumaria conclusoes de um levantamento bibliografico sobre a importância das tecnicas de compartilhamento de conhecimento tacito, sobre o papel das comunidades de pratica no estimulo a transferencia do conhecimento e sobre o uso da narrativa das estorias organizacionais como veiculo de transferencia, todas reproduzindo o enfoque dominante sobre o conhecimento organizacional. E sugere uma abordagem alternativa, integradora, a partir da biologia cognitiva e das redes de comunicacao e das estruturas de significados a ela associadas.
