Jan Valíček; Sergej Hloch; Milan Držík; Miloslav Ohlídal; V. Mádr; M. Lupták; Stanislav Fabian; Agáta Radvanská; Kateřina Páleníková

The paper deals with results obtained by means of contactless optical shadow method and by commercial methods, namely by using an optical commercial profilometer MicroProf (FRT) and a contact profilometer HOMMEL TESTER T8000. The main emphasis is put on the analysis of results for defining the process of creation of a new surface generated by the stream of abrasive waterjet, including its geometric parameters and mechanisms of cutting tool-material interaction. New possibilities of the surface quality evaluation and optimizing the technological parameters selection of the cutting process appear.

AWJ Cutting: The Technological Head Vibrations with Different Abrasive Mass Flow Rates

Stanislav Fabian; Štefánia Salokyová

The paper presents results of the technological head vibrations acceleration amplitude evaluation and their corresponding frequency spectrums due to changes in the abrasive mass flow at division of abrasion resistant steel on a particular work with AWJ technology. The waveforms of technological head vibrations acceleration amplitude and their frequency spectrums are evaluated for the unworn directing tube.

Anton Panda; Ján Duplák; Tomáš Vorobeľ; Jozef Jurko; Stanislav Fabian

Innovation of the technological processes is a very important part of continuous improvement of each manufacturing company. Every manufacturing company is trying to optimize the production processes to achieve the improvement of basic indicators, which include price, quality and speed of the production process. One of the means to achieve these indicators is to optimize the cutting parameters, which ensure the desired quality of the surface in a shorter manufacturing time. Innovation of the technological parameters of the manufacturing company means to repair, improve, and transform these parameters, which are used and show loss limitations. Application of updated parameters for manufacturing company may refer to significant reduction of engineering times, improving the material flow and the other factors, but it is mainly costs saving. This article is specialized on the study of the surface quality of the material AISI 304 by turning technology with selected cutting tool of sintered carbide. This material is usable for actuator (actuators and reduction gears) too.

Technological Head Tilt Angle Influence Analysis to Generation of Vibration during Ceramics Material Machining by Means of AWJ Technology

Stanislav Fabian; Luba Bicejova

The thesis deals with a manufacturing system water jet technological head tilt angle influence analysis. The search is performed for two tilt angles and three speeds of the technological head shift. Frequency envelope comparative graphs are created for the head tilt angles 45o and 90o and for each of three speeds using graphical records which show vibration acceleration amplitude relation to its frequency. For each of the tilt angles summary comparative frequency envelope graphs in all analyzed speeds are created, too. On the base of the comparative frequency envelope graphs a discussion focused on results and formulated conclusion are performed. The paper presents a thematically integrated part of previous research and complements recent knowledge on technological and material parameter impact to water jet technology manufacturing system vibration generation.

Experimental Investigation and Analysis of the Impact in Abrasive Mass Flow Changes with and without the Use of Sieve Analysis on Technological Head Vibrations at Hydroabrasive Cutting

Stanislav Fabian; Štefánia Salokyová

The paper presents and analyzes the experimental research results of impact in abrasive mass flow changes and sieving on technological head vibrations while cutting steel HARDOX 500 using the water jet technology. Vibrations were quantified by two basic parameters (vibrations frequency and vibrations acceleration amplitude). The experiments evaluation contains graphical dependence sets of vibrations acceleration amplitude on frequency, set of frequency spectrum envelopes and comparative graphs of frequency spectrum envelopes based on which new knowledge and recommendations have been created.

Analysis of Technological Head Working Pressure, Tilt Angle and Shift Impact to its Vibrations Using AWJ Technology

Luba Bicejova; Stanislav Fabian

The paper deals with an experimental analysis of a technological head tilt angle impact to vibration generation. The search of the technological head tilt influence is performed for three technological head shift speeds and for three abrasive water medium pressure values. From graphic records showing relation of vibration acceleration amplitude to its frequency, a group of 9 comparative frequency envelope graphs for two tilt angles and three technological medium analyzed pressures for each of three speeds of the head shift is created. On the base of the frequency envelope comparative graphs a discussion and formulated conclusion are stated. The paper presents a thematically integrated part of the thesis and complements recent knowledge on water jet technology manufacturing system working condition diagnosis.

Experimental Measurement and Examination of Independent and Combined Interaction of Vibrodiagnostic and Tribotechnical Methods

Stanislav Fabian; Peter Čačko

The article studies, based on the evaluation of the experimental research, effectiveness of independent and combined interaction of vibrodiagnostic and tribotechnical methods when diagnosing gearbox of the small hydroelectric power station in course of 6 months. During this time the general overhaul of the gearbox was carried out, where the measurements, analyses and evaluations were focused on run-in and a shorter after run-in period of the gearbox.

Modelling of Selected Reliability Indicators of Prototype PAM Equipment

Ľuboslav Straka; Stanislav Fabian

The aim of the contribution is to describe modelling of selected reliability indicators of prototype equipment with PAM. Purpose of model is maximizing overall equipment reliability by the means of optimal selection of basic elements or by proper redundancy of the elements. Further, possibilities of reliability increase by the means of active and passive reserve are described, as a higher level of reliability control in given technical equipment with PAM. Summary of particular ways of reliability increase is presented on an example of a given prototype mechatronic equipment based on artificial muscle.
