Educação para a sustentabilidade: a construção de caminhos no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS)

Los Institutos Federales de Educacion, Ciencia y Tecnologia (IFs) fueron recientemente creados en Brasil con el objetivo de suplir la demanda de mano de obra tecnica calificada, que ha aumentado en el pais, y agregar calidad a los curriculos, integrando conocimientos basicos y tecnicos, para preparar los estudiantes para la vida, calificarlos para la ciudadania. Estas instituciones muestran en sus documentos que tienen una preocupacion con cuestiones relacionadas a la sostenibilidad. Algunos estudios han apuntado la importancia de la insercion de debates sobre la educacion para la sostenibilidad en las instituciones de ensenanza y tambien en los cursos del area de gestion. Por lo tanto, el presente estudio tiene por objetivo identificar como cuestiones relacionadas a este tema estan siendo tratadas en los IFs brasilenos, especialmente en el Instituto Federal de Educacion, Ciencia y Tecnologia del Rio Grande del Sur (IFRS). Para tanto, fue realizada una investigacion de caracter exploratorio, delineado por un alcance descriptivo, para verificar como el tema sostenibilidad ha sido abordado en los cursos del IFRS relacionados al eje tecnologico Gestion y Negocios, presentes en el Catalogo Nacional de Cursos Superiores en Tecnologia y en el Catalogo Nacional de Cursos Tecnicos del Ministerio de la Educacion. Se observo que, a pesar del IFRS presentar en sus documentos una preocupacion con temas relacionados a la sostenibilidad, no hay una politica institucional que integre las acciones relativas a la sostenibilidad en la institucion como uno todo, siendo que la insercion del tema en los cursos ocurre de formas diversas, por iniciativa de determinados profesores. Pero, algunos proyectos que buscan la insercion de la sostenibilidad en cursos del area de gestion y negocios ya pueden ser verificados, como los que estan siendo desarrollados en los Campus Canoas y Osorio, que tambien son presentados en el presente trabajo. Es importante destacar que los proyectos se encuentran en fase de implementacion, lo que todavia no posibilita una evaluacion con relacion a sus resultados. Sin embargo, estos pueden servir de base para acciones a nivel institucional y de modelo para otros niveles e instituciones de ensenanza.The Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology (IF) were recently created in Brazil with the purpose of supplying the demand for qualified technical manpower, which has increased in the country. Some studies have pointed out the importance of the inclusion of discussions on education for sustainability in educational institutions and also in management courses. Thus, the present study aims at identifying how the issues related to this topic are being addressed in Brazilian Federal Institutes, especially at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS). In order to accomplish this, an exploratory survey was conducted, outlined by a descriptive scope, to verify how the sustainability issue has been addressed in the IFRS technological courses in Business and Management axis, according to the National Catalogue of Technological Higher Education Courses and to the Ministry of Educations National Catalogue of Technical Courses. It was observed that, despite IFRS shows a concern with the sustainability issues in their documents, there is not an institutional policy that integrates the actions related to sustainability in the institution at a whole, whereas the inclusion of the theme in the courses occurs in different ways, by the initiative of some teachers. However, some projects that aim at inserting sustainability in Business and Management courses can be verified already, such as the projects being developed at Campus Canoas e Osorio - which are also presented in this study. It is important to emphasize that the projects are under implementation, which still does not allow an evaluation regarding their results. Nevertheless, these could provide the basis for actions in an institutional level and a pattern for other levels and educational institutions.

Aprendizagem Social, Motivação e Comprometimento em um Comitê de Bacia Hidrográfica 10.5773/rgsa.v3i3.174

Este artigo procurou identificar as caracteristicas do processo de aprendizagem social, da motivacao e do comprometimento dos integrantes de um Comite de Gerenciamento de Bacia. A estrategia metodologica foi um estudo de caso em profundidade, que se desenvolveu no Comite de Gerenciamento da Bacia Hidrografica do Rio Santa Maria, RS, Brasil. A pesquisa incluiu um levantamento com 36 integrantes, dentre outras fontes de investigacao. O processo de analise incluiu triangulacao de dados e de metodos. Os resultados sugerem que a aprendizagem nesse ambiente ocorre, principalmente, pela troca de conhecimentos e de experiencias, proporcionada pela participacao e pelas interacoes significativas que acontecem entre os integrantes nas reunioes e nos grupos de trabalho, onde se manifesta a experiencia social coletiva. Os fatores motivacionais dos individuos estao relacionados a questoes de natureza social e coletiva e as questoes locais, cuja solucao precisa ser encontrada no presente. Os integrantes se reconhecem como pessoas com elevada motivacao e comprometimento afetivo com o Comite. Palavras-chave: aprendizagem social, motivacao, comprometimento e comite de bacia hidrografica. Abstract This article sought to identify the procedural characteristics of social learning, of motivation and behavior of members of a Basin Management Committee. The methodological strategy included an in-depth case study, developed in the Santa Maria River Hydrographic Basin Management Committee, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The research included a study with 36 members, along with other investigative sources. The analysis process employed the triangulation of data and methods. Results suggest that learning in this environment occurs mainly through the exchange of knowledge and experiences, provided through participation and through significant interactions that take place between members in meetings and work groups, through which collective social experience takes form. The motivational factors of the individuals are related to issues of a social and collective nature along with local issues, whose solutions need to be found in the present. Members see themselves as people with elevated motivation and effective commitment to the Committee. Keywords: social learning, motivation, behavior and hydrographic basin committee.

Inovação e parcerias estratégicas: o caso da fazenda Redomão-RS

A inovacao em processos, produtos e servicos esta sendo considerada, nos ultimos anos, uma das forcas propulsoras da competitividade, tanto nas organizacoes quanto nos paises, quer seja no ingresso em novos mercados, quer seja na permanencia sustentada nos mercados existentes. Seguindo essa perspectiva, o presente estudo objetiva apresentar a inovacao baseada em parcerias estrategicas. Para ilustrar, toma-se como caso a atividade bubalina da Fazenda Redomao, em Guaiba, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Pode-se observar que a estrategia fundamentada em parcerias possibilitou que o caso estudado tivesse acesso a informacoes, conhecimentos e capacidades para inovar, tornando-se um centro de referencia para a atividade e proporcionando a ampliacao dessa rede de parcerias ao longo dos anos.
