The research investigates the relationships between knowledge sharing capability, absorptive capacity, and innovation capability. We used statistical hypotheses and Structural Equation Modeling to study these relationships based on the data sampled from 114 companies of information and communication technology industry in Indonesia including telecommunication service provider, support service provider, network vendors, and consumer devices vendors. Four hypotheses will be tested in this study, to find out whether absorptive capacity is the intervening variable between knowledge sharing capability and innovation capability. The result shows that knowledge sharing capability has a significant influence to potential absorptive capacity. While realized absorptive capacity is significantly influenced by potential absorptive capacity.

This paper aims to present knowledge management model at each stage of small and medium enterprises (SME) life cycle based on characteristics of each stage. Proposed model is formulated as a result of literature review from nine Organizational Life Cycle (OLC) model and some previous research of knowledge management in SMEs. Based on the differences of characteristics obtained from previous models, it can be concluded that each stage of OLC has a different dominant type of knowledge, main knowledge needs, and dominant knowledge management activities. For further research, this theoretical model can be used as a framework in a case study to test the model empirically.

This study aims to develop a model formulation of a knowledge management strategy based on the characteristics of organization growth stage and business processes are executed. Model development was done by studied the literature on previous researches related to the organization growth stages, business process models, especially the design process and product development, as well as knowledge management strategy models. Process characteristics identification was done using two dimensions, namely actors and decision makers in the product design and development process, and the period of implementation of design and development products. The conceptual model was validated by using a historical case study on a fashion company. The results showed that different characteristics of the growth stages causes the differences in the characteristics of business processes were executed. Therefore, every growth stage requires a different knowledge management strategy.

The relationship between manufacturer and supplier in the automotive industry involves process of knowledge sharing. Knowledge sharing is an important process that may improve manufacturer and supplier performances. In a co-opetition business environment, companies tend to limit knowledge sharing, if they regard their partners as potential competitors. Trust is used to reflect the level of co-opetition relationship. This study identified the influence of inter-organizational trust towards knowledge sharing, and identified factors affecting inter-organizational trust (participation, communication, influence strategy, power, opportunistic behavior, behavioral uncertainty, inter-personal trust). Additionally, this study identified factors affecting inter-personal trust (expertise, likability, and interaction). Data were collected from 97 manufacturer-supplier relationships in Indonesia. The results of this study, power and behavioral uncertainty have non-significant influence towards inter-organizational trust, as well as interaction towards inter-personal trust.

This paper investigates a development of single machine batch scheduling for multi items with dependent processing time. The batch scheduling problem is to determine simultaneously number of batch ( ), which item and its size allocated for each batch, and processing sequences of resulting batches. We use total actual flow time as the objective of schedule performance. The multi item batch scheduling problem could be formulated into a biner-integer nonlinear programming model because the number of batch should be in integer value, the allocation of items to resulting batch need binary values, and also there are some nonlinearity on objective function and constraint due to the dependent processing time. By applying relaxation on the decision variable of number of batch ( ) as parameter, a heuristic procedure could be applied to find solution of the single machine batch scheduling problem for multi items.
