Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Muhammad Azani Hasibuan; Putu Wuri Handayani; Yudho Giri Sucahyo

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a product that enables organizations achieving their competitive advantage. However, the failures of ERP implementation are still considered quite high. This research was conducted to formulate the framework of self-assessment of open source ERP implementation readiness, which focused on the ERP pre-implementation aspects. The proposed ERP implementation readiness assessment framework was developed using the Fuzzy-based ANP (Fuzzy ANP), where the examined readiness factors are grouped into three categories, namely project management, organizational, and change management readiness. In order to see the application of the framework, we conducted a case study on an SME engaged in software development. We did focus group discussion with Chief Technology Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Project Manager. The results showed that the company is not ready to implement open source ERP. Although the company is strong in the human resources aspect, they are still weak in other aspects so that they need some strategies to improve their level of readiness before implementing open source ERP.

Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Hamzah Saifulhaq; Putu Wuri Handayani

This study aims to analyze the influence of trust, concern and risks perception toward the intentions of customers to conduct e-commerce transaction. In order to see the influence of these factors, we construct an online questionnaire and distribute it to various sites and forums using quota sampling methods. We obtained 101 valid data and analyzed them by using Spearmans rho correlation analysis to determine the relationship between each variable and path coefficient analysis to prove the hypothesis. Interestingly, online customers in Indonesia tend not to think risk as something that affects their intentions when performing online transaction. Attitude and perceived behavioral control had more influence on the online customer in Indonesia to conduct online transactions.

Putu Wuri Handayani; Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Indra Budi

Based on Central Agency on Statistic (Badan Pusat Statistik – BPS), the growth of SMEs in Indonesia is increasing rapidly. In order to increase their competitive advantage, SMEs need to implement ERP system. However, most of ERP systems in the today market are very complex and not suitable for Indonesian SMEs. This paper presents the requirements of Indonesian SMEs’ main business processes which are focusing in marketing, distributing, selling and production processes by randomly distributing questionnaires to SMEs. Based on our analysis, those processes are urgently needed to be standardized and implemented in ERP system due to their strategies to increase their market share. In addition, this study also conducts the comparison of ERP systems through thorough observation to give insight for SMEs owners if they choose to buy an ERP system. According to our observation, SAP Business One or Compiere Community Edition could be selected by SMEs due to their detailed and complete processes.

Towards a society of peers: expert and interest groups in peer-to-peer systems

Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Stéphane Bressan

The social behavior of peers in peer-to-peer network can be inferred from the observable factors of the system and its components as it is created, lives and evolves. Following a social metaphor, it should be possible to use the observation of these behaviors to organize the network of peers for purposes as various as improving the retrieval performance, efficiently managing storage, improving robustness and increasing security, for instance. In order to concretely illustrate this idea and to precisely quantify its benefits in a concrete scenario, we consider the important example of the improvement of retrieval performance. We propose an unstructured peer-to-peer architecture in which the system, adaptively and in a decentralized manner, learns the expertise and interest of peers, and dynamically re-organizes itself by creating efficient communities (groups) of peers.

Adaptive Peer-to-Peer Routing with Proximity

Chu Yee Liau; Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Stéphane Bressan

In this paper, we presented a routing strategy for requests in unstructured peer-to-peer networks. The strategy is based on the adaptive routing Q-routing. The strategy uses reinforcement learning to estimate the cost of routing a request. Such a strategy is scalable only if the routing indices are of reasonable size. We proposed and comparatively evaluated three methods for the pruning for the pruning of the routing indices. Our experiments confirm the validity of the adaptive routing and the scalability of a pruning approach based on a pruning strategy considering the popularity of the resources.

Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Ika Chandra Hapsari; Ika Alfina; Yudho Giri Sucahyo

In this globalization era, companies are required to keep learning and changing. In the process of changing, companies need to be adaptive and innovative. Therefore, a company needs to cultivate and maintain its knowledge. Among other ways, it can be achieved by encouraging the process of knowledge sharing within the company. Hence, this study aims to know the perception of the employee regarding knowledge sharing. An assessment of employee perceptions toward knowledge sharing was conducted by using questionnaires for employees in three consulting companies in Indonesia, namely Pusilkom UI, Altrovis and Usmart. This study concludes that the factors that encourage knowledge sharing are the intrinsic factors rather than the extrinsic factors. Organization can drive the success of knowledge sharing by providing supporting facilities.

Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Moch. Sidhki Adha; Meganingrum Arista Jiwanggi; Tisha Melia

This research aims to explore free search engine optimisation (SEO) and social media plug-ins and compare their performance in increasing incoming web traffics. We create three publisher websites: the normal website without any SEO installed on it, the customised website with basic SEO configuration and social media plug-in, and the customised website with advanced SEO configuration and social media plug-in. We run and trace the website log for four and seven months. Our findings show that SEO plug-ins is capable to increase traffic to publisher website. Social media plug-in provides additional benefit to bring traffic, however, the traffic is less significant compared to the one from search engine. These findings have implications to the following: 1) the organisations need to pay attention on the way they organise information in their website; 2) the introduction of search ability aspect for measuring service quality for web application.

Exploiting local popularity to prune routing indices in peer-to-peer systems

Stéphane Bressan; Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Zainal A. Hasibuan

Routing in unstructured peer-to-peer systems relies either on broadcasting (also called flooding) or on routing indices. An approach using routing indices is only scalable if the routing indices are of manageable size. In this paper, we present a strategy to prune routing indices based on popularity of resources. Routing indices maintain routing information for queries to the most popular resources, leaving queries to other resources to be routed randomly. The popularity of resources at each node of a network is learnt by each routing index, by means of a replacement strategy. We compare the performance of the local popularity method against that of the global popularity method in pruning routing indices in both static and dynamic environments. We compare the effectiveness and the efficiency of two standard replacement strategies: least frequently used (LFU) and least recently used (LRU). Our results confirm the efficiency and effectiveness of pruning routing indices based on the local popularity of resources in unstructured peer-to-peer networks.

User acceptance factors of hospital information systems and related technologies: Systematic review

Putu Wuri Handayani; Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Indra Budi

ABSTRACT This study reviews the literature on the most important acceptance factors associated with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and related technologies based on user groups’ perspectives (medical staff, hospital management, administrative personnel, patient, medical student, and IT staff), which can assist researchers and hospital management to develop suitable acceptance models to improve the quality of HIS. We conducted searches in online databases with large repositories of academic studies, written in English and fully accessible by the authors. The articles being reviewed are related to health information technology (HIT), clinical information systems (CIS), HIS, electronic medical records (EMR), telemedicine or telehealth, picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), radio frequency identification (RFID), and computerized physician order entry (CPOE), where the use of most of those applications and technologies is highly integrated. A predefined string was used to extract 1,005 articles, and the results were reviewed and checked. The results of this study found 15 user acceptance factors related to HIS and related technologies that were frequently identified by a minimum of five previous studies. These factors were related to individual, technological, and organizational factors. In addition, HIS and related technologies’ user acceptance factors in each user group describe different results.

Achmad Nizar Hidayanto; Nathan Abednego; Siti Aminah; Yudho Giri Sucahyo

This study was conducted to identify factors influencing the adoption of cloud technologies from the perspective of the benefits, opportunities, costs and risks (BOCR). Analyses were performed using DEMATEL which allows seeing the cloud adoption factors on a micro scale. The data was collected by conducting discussions with IT decision makers in the two companies engaged in the mining service sector, namely PTDH and UT, which represented the medium-and large-scale enterprises respectively. By involving both companies, we aimed to explore the impact of organisational characteristics to the cloud technology adoption. The results showed that the adoption of the cloud technology is strongly influenced by organisational characteristics. Internal characteristics of organisations that most influenced the adoption of the cloud technology are the availability of resources, followed by the organisational structure, availability of experts, and support of management in the organisation.
