Uso da MCDA na identificação e mensuração da performance dos critérios para a certificação dos hospitais de ensino no âmbito do SUS

The public health system management in Brazil has undergone a certain amount of restructuring over the past years. One consequence of the restructuring was the establishment of a new relationship between the Ministry of Health (MS) and the Ministry of Education (MEC) regarding the funding of University Hospitals of Federal Universities. Therefore, the Brazilian Ministry of Health has implemented the certification process of University Hospitals - a set of goals to be met concerning financial, management and education processes, as well as the assistance model to be adopted. This article presents the use of Multi Criteria Decision Analysis to support the development of a model aimed at assisting managers of a university hospital in assessing institutional performance, so that their goals jointly agreed between the MS/MEC can be met and certification is obtained. The case study was conducted within a hospital of the federal network of education in Brazil.

METAHEURISTIC ANALYSIS APPLIED TO THE BERTH ALLOCATION PROBLEM: CASE STUDY IN A PORT CONTAINER TERMINAL

The simulated annealing (SA) and genetic algorithm (GA) metaheuristics are comparatively applied to the berth allocation problem (BAP) of a port container terminal. By synthesizing the experimental studies of the BAP available in the literature, the two methods are compared when applied to the same case. For this purpose, six test problems are considered, where SA and GA are compared using four crossover operators. Once the optimal GA crossover operator is determined, computational tests are performed with the data obtained at the port terminal to compare the performance of the two metaheuristics.

Using MCDA to evaluate the performance of the logistics process in public hospitals: the case of a Brazilian teaching hospital

The increasing complexity of hospital management indicates a greater need for scientific instruments that underlie the performance evaluations of the organizational processes in this sector. From this perspective, this work evaluates the performance of the main activities of the internal logistics process of a Brazilian public teaching hospitals supply chain. To this end, a multicriteria decision analysis approach is used as an instrument of intervention. The multicriteria model constructed serves as a decision support system to aid decision makers, allowing managers to measure logistics performance in the hospital context and to visualize the performance profile of the main logistics activities, enabling the identification of activities requiring greater attention and improvement.

Performance assessment model for bank client's services and business development process: a constructivist proposal

The banking sector has been characterised by ongoing evolution in service rendering, driven by advances in technology, changes in client profiles, and susceptibility to political and economic issues. This article describes the development stages of a decision-aid system to manage the customer relations and business development process with bank clients, using the perceptions of both managers and clients. The investigation was conducted through a case study, using the constructivist MCDA. The elaborated model allowed for the structured identification and evaluation of 99 descriptors. Through use of the model, managers gained focus and confidence, customers reacted with gratitude and loyalty, and stakeholders realised the importance of the approach as they had a clear understanding of the goals.

Emprego da Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA) para seleção de carteira de investimentos no mercado de ações: caracterização da produção científica sobre o tema

O risco inerente ao mercado de ações permeia o processo de tomada de decisão no instante em que se deve decidir quais ativos farão parte do portfólio para formar uma carteira de investimentos eficiente. A busca por modelos de otimização que forneçam uma melhor forma de minimizar os riscos atraem os olhares de investidores e pesquisadores. O objetivo deste artigo é descrever e caracterizar a produção científica acerca da utilização do método de Análise Envoltória de Dados (DEA) para composição de carteiras de investimento em ações eficientes. A metodologia utilizada foi o estudo quantitativo e descritivo, instrumentalizado por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e analisado à luz da bibliometria.

PLANEJAMENTO SISTEMÁTICO DE LAYOUT APLICADO À MANUFATURA: UM ESTUDO DE CASO NO POLO NAVAL DE RIO GRANDE

O presente trabalho descreve a aplicacao metodologia do Planejamento Sistematico de Layout (SLP) para a elaboracao de um modelo de layout em uma empresa fabricante de luminarias maritimas, localizada no Polo Naval de Rio Grande, no Rio Grande do Sul. Por meio do emprego do setup teorico que instrumentaliza o SLP foram realizados os procedimentos de levantamento do ambiente de trabalho, das movimentacoes de materiais em processamento, das operacoes mais utilizadas e seu impacto na producao. Alem disso, verificaram-se os espacos necessarios para os postos de trabalho, bem como a necessidade de sua proximidade. Foi possivel destacar as celulas produtivas e verificar os fluxos entre elas, resultando na elaboracao de dois modelos de layout exequiveis, levando em consideracao as limitacoes das instalacoes da organizacao. Na sequencia, foi realizada a avaliacao ponderada dos modelos e selecionado o que melhor se adequou ao caso em estudo. Tais avaliacoes possibilitaram a proposicao da aplicacao de um modelo de layout baseado no SLP para a empresa.
