Projeto Pedagógico de Curso e formação do psicólogo: uma proposta de análise

In this text we propose an analysis strategy of Pedagogic Projects of Psychology Courses (PPC) in Brazil. The PPC, a complex and multideterminate document concerning both educational policies and course objectives, is an important tool in the study of psychology training. However, the literature has been unable to apply broad analytical strategies to a large number of cases. The present strategy was created based on legislation and literature regarding the training of psychologists in the country, as well as free reading and categorizations of different PPCs. Information in this document was grouped into three discussion blocks – theoretical, philosophical and pedagogical fundamentals; curricular and discipline issues; and professional practices –, with their respective analytical categories. This strategy is considered an inspiration to researchers who propose to investigate the education of psychologists or other university level professionals.El objetivo de este trabajo fue presentar una estrategia de analisis de Proyectos Pedagogicos de Cursos (PPC) de Psicologia en Brasil. Se entiende el PPC como un documento complejo e multideterminado, atravesado tanto por las politicas educacionales como por las expectativas de los cursos, constituyendose un material importante para el estudio de la formacion del psicologo. Sin embargo, la literatura no ha conseguido concatenar la aplicacion de estrategias analiticas amplias a un numero expresivo de casos. La presente estrategia se construyo a partir de la legislacion y literatura acerca de la formacion del psicologo en el pais, asi como de la lectura libre y de categorizaciones de diferentes PPCs. Las informaciones de este documento se agruparon en tres bloques de discusiones - fundamentos teoricos, filosoficos y pedagogicos; enfasis curriculares y disciplinas; practicas profesionales - con sus respectivas categorias analiticas. Se considera que esta estrategia sirve como inspiracion para investigadores que se proponen investigar la formacion del psicologo u otros profesionales de nivel superior.

The role of Social Psychology in Brazilian undergraduate and graduate education

The purpose of this paper is to contextualize the role played by Social Psychology in the framework of Brazilian undergraduate and graduate education. With respect to undergraduate degree programs, we analyzed the Degree Pedagogical Project (DPP). Regarding graduate degree programs, the organizational structure of Brazilian programs was analyzed. The study is divided into five parts. In the first part, we present a brief introduction on the status of higher education in Brazil. In the second part, we provide an equally brief overview of the status of undergraduate and graduate education in Psychology. Next, we approach the key topic of the paper, Social Psychology in undergraduate (third part) and graduate (fourth part) education. We conclude with some notes for discussion.

Atuação dos psicólogos nos CRAS do interior do RN

This paper analyzes the psychologist’s performance in Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) in towns in Rio Grande do Norte state (RN). Fifteen CRAS’ Psychologists were interviewed in the different microregions of the state, concerning socio-demographic profiles, professional training, services offered at CRAS and activities performed by these professionals. We identified that these professionals both perform a set of activities that match the official doctrines at the scope of Social Assistance, and, at the same time, make use of the historically hegemonic model in psychologist’s training and performance. Also, the work at Social Assistance policies has made the psychologists face a working class even more impoverished, whose demands are unlike those usually met by the Psychology. The paper concludes discussing the potentials and boundaries of the psychologist’s performance within that public policy and the structural hindrances of the policy itself into the capitalist mode of production.Analisa-se a atuacao do psicologo em Centros de Referencia da Assistencia Social (CRAS) localizados em municipios do interior do estado do Rio Grande do Norte (RN). Quinze psicologos de CRAS distribuidos nas microrregioes do RN foram entrevistados, a partir de um roteiro semiestruturado sobre perfil sociodemografico, formacao profissional, servicos ofertados nos CRAS e atividades desenvolvidas pelos psicologos. Identificou-se que esses profissionais realizam um conjunto de atividades, que tanto atende aos ditames oficiais no escopo da politica de Assistencia Social, quanto, concomitantemente, se serve do modelo historicamente hegemonico de formacao e atuacao do psicologo. Considera-se que o trabalho na politica de Assistencia Social colocou os psicologos diante de uma classe trabalhadora ainda mais pauperizada, com demandas diversas daquelas tradicionalmente consideradas pela Psicologia. Discutem-se as possibilidades e os limites da atuacao profissional no âmbito dessa politica publica, bem como os entraves estruturais da propria politica no modo de producao capitalista.

The Meaning of Work during Short-term Unemployment

This paper reports the results of an investigation of the meanings unemployed people attribute to their work. The sample comprised 358 short-term (from one to six months) unemployed workers. Data were collected using a standardized questionnaire based on a five-dimensional meaning of work model that was previously adapted to the Brazilian context. The data were submitted to a confirmatory factor analysis. The results suggest that there might not be specificities in the meanings unemployed workers attribute to their work, considering that the five-factor structure of the meaning of work model was empirically supported. The results indicate that the variables length of unemployment, number of formal jobs, age, and schooling were significantly correlated with the number of dimensions of the meaning of work model.

As políticas sociais nos fundamentos dos projetos pedagógicos dos cursos de Psicologia

La Psicologia se acerco de las politicas sociales, evocando cambios para la actuacion y formacion en ese campo. El objetivo de este articulo es investigar el lugar que las politicas sociales ocupan en los fundamentos teorico-politico de los Proyectos Pedagogicos de los Cursos (PPCs) de graduacion en Psicologia en Brasil. Se analizaron 40 PPCs de instituciones publicas y privadas de las cinco regiones de Brasil. Se analizaron fragmentos sobre politicas sociales localizados en los textos del PPC relativos a: a) los fundamentos del curso y b) la descripcion de las practicas profesionales (compuesta por los enfasis curriculares y locales de actuaciones indicados). En los resultados, se identifico que, al tratar de las politicas sociales, los cursos poseen un foco tecnico y practico, preocupandose, habitualmente, con la promocion de salud y compromiso social - configuracion identificada en las dos dimensiones analizadas. Merece atencion la definicion limitada de los dos ultimos conceptos, corroborando con la indicacion de la literatura sobre las restricciones de su uso para direccionar las politicas sociales.

Internacionalização da pós-graduação em Psicologia: estudo comparativo dos cursos de doutorado no Brasil e na Espanha

Objetivou-se, neste artigo, analisar caracteristicas relativas ao debate sobre internacionalizacao dos programas de excelencia de Psicologia no Brasil e Espanha. Trata-se de estudo documental comparativo entre os 6 cursos de doutorado brasileiros com conceitos 6 e 7 na avaliacao da Coordenacao de Aperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior (CAPES), em 2010-2012, e os cinco espanhois que receberam a Mencion hacia la Excelencia, em 2010-2011. Tres tipos de dados foram coletados: caracterizacao geral, formacao dos alunos e producao cientifica (periodo 2007-2012). Como pontos distintos, tem-se a maior produtividade dos pesquisadores brasileiros e a predominância, no Brasil, de areas de Psicologia alinhadas ao mainstream da pesquisa internacional. Em relacao as aproximacoes, chamam a atencao o carater tutorial do processo formativo e o peso de iniciativas pessoais na conquista do padrao de excelencia internacional.

Características da Psicologia do Trabalho e das Organizações na Formação do Psicólogo no Brasil

Work and Organizational Psychology’s Characteristics in the Brazilian Undergraduate Education in Psychology This paper aims to analyse the presence of Work and Organizational Psychology (WOP) in the Brazilian psychological training after the changes brought about by new National Curricular Guidelines. A convenience sample of 43 pedagogical projects from public and private higher education institutions throughout Brazil was submitted to a documental analysis. As results, WOP was found to be mentioned in 41 courses, specifically in the context of graduates’ student profiles and their training as psychologists. All the courses require students to enroll in at least one class in WOP, which is equivalent to 10% of the total training workload. The analysis showed that WOP is related to discussions concerning quality of life and worker health in such contexts as organizations, public policies and unions. In addition to recovering a wide thematic diversity, the findings suggest that WOP has an important place in the training of psychologists in Brazil.
