Implementation of infants risk detection sensing system using IoT

Youseok Yang; Taeo Lee; Yechan Lee; Jaehyeon Choi; Eunju Park; Hankyu Lim

Infants are vulnerable to surrounding environment and they receive large influence from even a small change. As their body composition is not complete yet, infants receive huge impact from small pressure. Small change can cause disease or even death of infants. This paper designed and implemented a risk-detection system for infants. In addition to the fundamental function of safety management system, the risk-detection system implemented in this paper in corporate child-caring function by using a variety of sensors.

Guide for 360 ˚ VR Video Production

Woonsub Jung; Eunju Park; Hankyu Lim

360 ̊ virtual reality (VR) is a medium that can experience reality directly or indirectly in a virtual space created by a computer. A type of 360 ̊ VR videos is various as many as that in generally watched videos. 360 ̊ VR videos have various types as many as general 2D videos such as daily living, travels, sports, leports (leisure + sports), and movies but they can make realistic feeling as if watchers were present in the real place. Oculus or smart devices-mounted card boards can be used to enable realistic views. A large number of contents for 360 ̊ VR that are categorized to daily living and travel are created in video streaming sites. However, few guide videos for 360 ̊ VR are available up until now. One of the available guide videos is “How NOT to shoot in 360” created by “YouTube Creator Academy”. This guide video contains some 360 ̊ VR shooting methods and some tips about not shooting in 360 ̊ VR. In the present paper, a guide video is produced to help 360 ̊ VR shooting by referring “How NOT to shoot in 360”.

With the popularization of smart phones, various applications are being developed for information, social, psychological, functional, and entertainment purposes. Furthermore, mobile donation platforms are increasing and various donation applications are appearing. In line with this trend, we designed and developed a donation app that allows users to donate time without financial burden. With the donation application developed in this study, users can donate their time through the one-minute advertisement view and donate their accumulated money to the donation organizations and programs selected by the user. In addition, we have designed a comprehensive funation application by adding comprehensive information and selling functions for donation products sold by various organizations. Automatic Danger and Directional Detection Method for Headphone Users

Sungwook Yoon; Yangwon Lim; Hankyu Lim; Hyenki Kim

Portable audio players remove spatial constraints for listening to music or playing audio and allow us to easily enjoy music by using headphones anywhere and at any time. However, using headphones to listen to music on the street leads to traffic accidents with deadly consequences because people cannot detect dangers, and the number of such accidents is gradually increasing. This study was conducted to suggest a method of enabling headphone users to recognize dangers around them while walking on the street. This method detects and evaluates external danger signals and then controls audio playback to communicate a warning message to users. Furthermore, it can also detect the direction of the origin of the external audio stimulation.

Design and Implementation of The Efficient Andong Bus Route System using a Location Information

Soo-Young Jang; Yangwon Lim; Hankyu Lim

Currently various applications related to bus route are used on smart devices to obtain bus arrival times, and route information. However, applications are unable to provide various ways for users to provide their destination. This study has designed an algorithm based on user`s six patterns. An Android application and a server that communicate with each other have been based on the algorithm. The applications and the server use the Google Maps service and location-based information to provide users with possible routes from the starting place to the destination. They also provide user`s with users` current position and any transfer information. They provide practical and efficient information, and are easy to use.

Reconstruction of e-Learning Contents based on Web 2.0, and the Level Diagnosis

Yangwon Lim; Hankyu Lim

As Web technology and functions have recently changed to a user-focused paradigm, new studies are being conducted to construct dynamic learning content that enables the learner`s participation and continuous learning in the field of e-learning research and design. This paper covers a study on the degree of difficulty in learner-focused dynamic learning contents to provide efficient learning environments for its adaptation to e-learning 2.0. This study suggests DLA (Dynamic Level Adjustment) to provide learner-focused contents. The suggested system will be a guideline to control and adopt learning content that can be easily applied to the environmental change, and more in-depth future research can be performed by using the system. A dynamic learning content model was made to recognize various learning patterns of learners as a result of the performance evaluation.

Efficient Management of DNS Failure

Yangwon Lim; Hankyu Lim

The Domain Name System (DNS) is the core system for managing Internet address resources, providing the most fundamental naming service. Currently, the DNS is classified into a tree structure. In this structure, it is difficult to normally access to the lower DNS, when there is an error in the upper DNS. Such a risk still remains even when a supplementary DNS is operated. However, due to the merit of the DNS enabling fast searches, it is impracticable to abandon the current tree structure. To efficiently correspond to DNS errors, this study suggests a method where the merit of the current tree structure is kept, while a temporary operation of the local DNS is available when errors occur by adding a horizontal and independent DNS structure.
