Digital content makes improvement in e-learning for transferring knowledge to learners. By e-learning that delivers digital contents, learners can learn anywhere and anytime and educators can deliver materials in an interactive way. Digital content becomes very important in improving self-learner understanding in computer programming. Experimental design method using control-group pretest-posttest is conducted to compare digital contents effectiveness of learning outcomes in computer programming field for self-learning students. The instrument used is a programming case, with factor and level to be tested is various digital content types, and desired response is learning outcomes increment. This study concludes that there is an average increment of learning outcomes by using various digital contents for self-learning, but still lower average increment compared with traditional classroom method. Results of this study can be a recommendation for educators and students in applying and determining the use of digital contents for their self-learning.

This paper discusses ICT integration in teaching and learning process at Bina Nusantara University (UBiNus). The presentation starts with an introduction clarifying background of ICT implementation in higher education, e-Lerning definition and implementation models, and the internal factors that supporting UBiNus to integration ICT for teaching and learning process. Next, clarification of Multi Channel Learning Model designed for classroom activities, e-Learning activities, and self study. Initiatives policy describes class meeting, course materials, content development team, teaching certificate, and scoring policy. Programs related to MCL preparation for both lecturers and students, units, and IT supports are presented. The paper also discusses Learning Management System (LMS), infrastructure condition, and performances that will be achieved. It is concluded that ICT implementation in Bina Nusantara University supports not only administration and management activities, but also in teaching and learning activities.

Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), a web-based e-learning tool, is growing to be used by current educational institutions. To prevent high non-passing rate, instructor needs to know which learner has the potential to pass the course or not. Learner who will fail the course also need advices immediately from instructor or system to overcome it. Learning Analytics (LA) is needed to collect and analyze learners’ activity logs on MOOC and predict their passing potential. The prototype application is developed by using Rational Unified Process (RUP) software development method. Implementation of LA in MOOC is feasible and suggested to analyze learners’ success factors by consuming learners’ activity logs and visualizing it in scatter diagram and node-link diagram. Instructor can provide advices to learners based on success factors generated by LA.

Difficulties in learning programming often hinder new students as novice programmers. One of the difficulties is to transform algorithm in mind into syntactical solution (sourcecode). This study proposes an application to help students in transform their algorithm (logic) into sourcecode. The proposed application can be used to write down students’ algorithm (logic) as block of pseudocode and then transform it into selected programming language sourcecode. Students can learn and modify the sourcecode and then try to execute it (learning by doing). Proposed application can improve 17% score and 14% passing rate of novice programmers (new students) in learning programming.

The main activity in education is the transfer of knowledge from educators with learners and among learners themselves. The knowledge can be in the form of explicit or implicit. On the other hand, the implementation of Knowledge Management conducted in almost all business and social activities, including in the field of education. This study aimed to get an idea of the condition of the implementation of the transformation of knowledge and develop knowledge management model of private university in Jakarta. Data were analyzed using descriptive tool “Radar”.

Organizations need information system as a tool for decision making. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are a tool of information systems to achieve work efficiency. ERP systems are the best solution to maintain a competitive advantage for most organizations. Successful implementations of ERP systems have a lot of benefits for the organizations. But the fact that many organizations have failed in implementing ERP systems, but also many organizations have succeeded in implementation of ERP systems. It is the challenge for the organizations to implementation of ERP systems success. The purpose of this study is to propose identify key success factors and challenges for ERP systems. This study employs Systematic. Literature Review approach for review and summary about the key success factors of ERP implementation.

Online transaction has been booming in this era, there are so many customers use this method for buying some product through electronic media. Implementation model of enterprise architecture framework in e-commerce usually work successfully, but in some enterprise since the model of enterprise architecture has been applied, companies seeing the lack of alignment between business and technology designed, so companies need to find solutions for fixing the problems. One of the purposes of this literature review is to analyze the components of enterprise architecture framework to support business processes with technology of e-commerce system. This study uses a systematic literature review method, step of search process reviewing various sources of databases by using keywords related to the topic of research, and the data obtained is classified based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. There are 117 papers identified with the topic research, then selected into 50 papers to review. The research result finds six components of enterprise architecture framework is the most influential in the development of e-commerce systems, which are business, system, design, technology, service, and people.

A rising number of private schools of informatics management and computing in Indonesia are not accompanied by the accreditation grades. The fact shows that none of the 197 schools has obtained accreditation grade A. Moreover, 71.57% of these schools are still accredited with grade C. This condition reveals that there has been no synchronization and interoperability of producing information for the need of processing the academic data. The problem of the research proposal was formulated to (a) produce a new research model regarding influences of IT innovation adoption and IT governance on IT service management in improving information performance of schools; (b) create a hypothetical testing design to cognize influences of every variable in this research. The research aim was to analyze the magnitude of relationships and influences of IT service management based upon supports and deliveries of information services becoming dominant factors improving information performance of schools. The research was designed with an explanatory survey of analyzed units of organizations. Furthermore, the research applied a mixed (quantitative and qualitative) method and concurrent triangulation strategy. Computed quantitative data were obtained from a sample of 55 schools determined through a simple random sampling technique. Strengthening the quantitative analysis, qualitative measurement was conducted through in-depth interviews and FGDs (Focus Group Discussions) with 5 informants in the sample.

Social media are becoming popular channel for communication. The tremendous exposure of social media today has changed a new communication channel for all business process. Although it is for better support or worse, social media is very powerful because many organizations begin to initiate strategies and allocate resources to engage effectively with social media platform. Higher education as organizational learning is expected to concern with this situation because the orientation of education today exposed to students centered learning mechanism to provide them with a holistic learning experience. Social media was realized as an innovative and effective tool to provide innovative ways of involving and motivating students in the learning process. Therefore, there is a need to investigate how students perceive and use social media in providing a pedagogically virtual learning environment that could enhance their learning experience. To achieve the goals of infusing social media into traditional pedagogical approach, the research investigates the preferences channel of social media for collaborative learning in the context of higher education as educational platform. A descriptive survey method used in this evaluation to show the trend in higher education. The result clearly describes social media preferences in the community of higher education so that learners can be actively engaged with learning process and flexible environments for global communication sharing.
