This article aims to describe how certain conceptions of culture have been addressed in the subject Organizational Learning, within the field Organizational Learning and Knowledge Management. To do this, the notion of “literary inscription” was used as a methodological principle to analyze intellectual networks in Brazilian studies concerning the procedures to acquire knowledge in organizations. The wires that connect the components of these networks are explored through the analysis of a chapter in a recently published collection intended to provide an overview of the main notions, perspectives, and theoretical and methodological affiliations that rule research focused on learning procedures in public and private organizations across the country. By means of the work under analysis, the construction of a polysemic agenda of uses and interpretations of the term culture is noticed. In the end, data obtained reveal how the movement to incorporate certain perspectives on culture through this subject enabled, over time, certain intellectual flows between Social Sciences and Administration and prevented others. This article aims to describe how certain conceptions of culture have been addressed in the subject Organizational Learning, within the field Organizational Learning and Knowledge Management. The purpose of this article is to understand the social implication in the organizing of a home care services around the practices of family caregivers and home care team. We used a symbolic perspective to unravel symbols resulting from social interactions that occurred on the everyday life of the group in order to better understand their meanings. The empirical research was qualitative and descriptive. The data was collected using semi-structured interviews with seven family caregivers and three focus groups with twenty seven home care professionals of a private health company. After transcribing the interviews and focus groups, the data were grouped and categorized by mixed model content analysis. The results show that the interpretations of symbolic aspects interfere in evaluation in opposition to hospital. They conduct the interviewers to a social reconstruction of the family symbolism, in the way it is inserted in an adverse context (the disease), despite partly remain in a family context (home). It is within the dynamics of this reconstruction that practices of the organizational actors are legitimize or rejected, then, must be recognized this dynamic in the professionals training to work in the home care service.

This article aims to understand the relationship between contextual transformations experienced by a governmental institution of Espirito Santo, Brazil, and identity configurations expressed by the organizations managers. We describe the identity processes of the organization by an interpretive look at understanding the symbolic relations that permeate this organization, observed in speeches of the subjects. We used documentary research and individual semi-structured interviews, material treated with content analysis. As results, the research findings point to two central identity configurations that lead to the identification of Idaf with other organizations and the distinctiveness of Idaf before other organs. Keywords: organizational identity; organizational change; public organizations.
