Sociodemographic and academic profile of nursing students from four brazilian institutions

This study aimed to describe the sociodemographic and academic characteristics of nursing students from four Brazilian Educational Institutions. It is a prospective cross-sectional study. The data were collected between April 2011 and March 2012, through a survey form with questions about sociodemographic and academic characteristics of the students. The participants were graduate students enrolled in the nursing course, aged 18 years or older. 705 students participated, and these were mostly women, single, childless, who lived with their families, did not take part in sport activities and performed leisure activities. Also, most students do not participate in research groups, were not granted scholarships, are not employed, are satisfied with the course and do not intend to leave it. This study may become an important tool for the development of strategies that address the needs of students and also improve the quality of the teaching and learning process, reducing dropout rates.

PERCEPÇÕES ACERCA DO PLANEJAMENTO EM ENFERMAGEM COMO FERRAMENTA DE GESTÃO

Este estudo e produto das discussoes e reflexoes realizadas na Disciplina Gestao em Saude e Enfermagem, do Programa de Pos Graduacao – Mestrado em Enfermagem da UFSM, no primeiro semestre de 2011, e tem por objetivo apresentar e discutir o papel do gestor frente ao planejamento estrategico. Foi realizada a leitura de artigos previamente selecionados pelos professores da disciplina e apos, extraido conceitos e opinioes dos autores desses artigos.Durante a leitura dos artigos observou-se o que o planejamento estrategico e considerado uma ferramenta, um metodo importante para o planejamento das acoes em saude. Existem formas diferentes de se planejar, destacando-se oplanejamento normativo, o estrategico, o politico e o situacional. Conclui-se que a dinâmica envolvida para o planejamento em saude e complexa, pois possibilita uma analise do perfil das instituicoes, bem como das caracteristicasde determinados grupos de trabalho, tal como do perfil do planejador.

Nível de estresse entre enfermeiros de um hospital da região Centro-Oeste – RS

Objetivo : verificar o nivel de estresse entre enfermeiros de um hospital. Metodo : estudo transversal, desenvolvido em hospital de medio porte no interior do Rio Grande do Sul. A populacao foi de 20 enfermeiros. A coleta ocorreu em outubro de 2014, por meio da Escala Bianchi de Stress, constituida por caracterizacao sociodemografica e 51 itens para avaliar estresse, divididos em seis dominios. O estudo teve aprovacao do Comite de Etica em Pesquisa da Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai e das Missoes. Resultados : dentre os enfermeiros, 55% apresentaram medio nivel de estresse. Os maiores escores foram nos dominios: Administracao de pessoal, Coordenacao das atividades da unidade e Condicoes de trabalho. Conclusao: o nivel de estresse foi medio para pouco mais da metade da populacao. Sugerem-se outros estudos com populacoes maiores para comparacoes e fortalecimento das investigacoes acerca da saude e das condicoes de trabalho na enfermagem.

Perfil de pacientes com doença arterial coronariana submetidos ao cateterismo cardíaco

Doi: 10.5902/2179769211124 Aim: characterize patients with coronary artery disease who underwent cardiac catheterization in the catheterization of a Public and General Hospital in Rio Grande do Sul, identify and profile your lifestyle. Method: this study is a fieldwork and quantitative approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of sociodemographic, clinical and the Health Promoting Lifestyle Instrument. Results: the study included 62 patients with mean age of 59 years, whites (88.28%), female (57.38%), married (70.49%), pensioners (88.28%) and diagnosed with angina (57.38%). Patients undergoing cardiac catheterization showed a better profile of lifestyle in the field selfrealization (3.54) and worst profile in the field exercise (1.37). Conclusion: it was noted the need for planning of health education aimed at reassessing the lifestyle of this population in order to reduce the impact of cardiovascular disease and better qualiade of these individuals.

Características sociodemográficas e funcionais dos trabalhadores de enfermagem de um hospital privado

Objective: describing the sociodemographic and functional characteristics of the nursing staff of a private hospital. Method: descriptive, transversal and quantitative study. Data collection was carried out between September and October 2012 through socio-demographic and functional characterization of form. Participated in the study 209 nursing staff. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee, CAAE 06163312.8.0000.5346. Results: highlighted the predominance of female workers (91,39%), married (61,24%), with children (57,42%), aged between 30 and 39 years old (40,19%); regarding the time of formation and performance, 77,99% completed the course (professional/higher) less than ten years ago and 69,86% have more than two years in the institution. Conclusion: recognizing the personal and functional characteristics of nursing staff can help managers in planning actions in order to improve work organization and promote actions that promote health in the workplace. Método: estudio descriptivo, transversal y cuantitativo. La recolección de datos se llevó a cabo entre septiembre y octubre de 2012 hasta la caracterización socio-demográfica y funcional de la forma. Participó 209 personales de enfermería. El proyecto fue aprobado por el Comité de Ética de Investigación, CAAE 06163312.8.0000.5346. Resultados: destacóse el predominio trabajadoras mujeres (91,39%), casadas (61,24%), con niños (57,42%), con edades comprendidas entre 30 y 39 años (40,19%); en cuanto al momento de la formación y el rendimiento, 77,99% completado el curso (profesional/superior) de menos de diez años y 69.86% tienen más de dos años en la institución. Conclusión: conocer las características personales y funcionales del personal de enfermería puede ayudar a los administradores en la planificación de acciones con el fin de mejorar la organización del trabajo y promover acciones que promuevan la salud en el lugar de trabajo. O CONFLITO NA ATIVIDADE GERENCIAL DO ENFERMEIRO

O trabalho do enfermeiro no âmbito gerencial e marcado por importantes avancos e, tambem por conflitos. Neste contexto, este estudo e produto das discussoes e reflexoes realizadas na Disciplina Gestao em Saude e Enfermagem,do Programa de Pos Graduacao – Mestrado em Enfermagem da UFSM, no primeiro semestre de 2011, e tem por objetivo apresentar e discutir os conceitos, classificacao e estagios dos conflitos e, como eles se fazem presentesno cotidiano do enfermeiro. Observa-se o deslocamento do enfermeiro da area operacional para as estrategicas daorganizacao e, nessas circunstâncias ele trabalha com situacoes complexas do setor produtivo e se depara comconflitos, visto que conduz multiplas relacoes de uma equipe multiprofissional. Pensar a atividade gerencial doenfermeiro requer pensar em um cenario de crescentes e profundas mudancas gerenciais e de novos referenciais do sistema de gestao, um cenario complexo, dinâmico e necessario reconhecimento de trata-lo interdisciplinarmente.
