Orientação profissional e vocacional: análise da produção científica

This study aimed to analyse the brazilian scientific production in the professional counseling area from 1950 decade to 2005. For such, the authors proceeded the search in the BVS and IndexPsi electronic database in February, 2006, using the keywords Professional Counseling, Vocacional Counseling, Professional Insterests, Professional Choice and Interests tests. From this search, references and abstracts were extracted, from those that offered it. The results revealed that there were a increasing in the production since 1990 decade and that the works studied about theoretical review and the quality of assessment instruments. Among the most used evaluation strategies were found the interviews and other and the interests tests.

Estudo correlacional entre interesses profissionais e vivências acadêmicas no ensino superior

The vocational interest is one of the appraised constructs when accomplished to the vocational guidance process, although it is possible to confirm that there are gaps in its definition, and a small number of researches investigating it in the college students and their relations to academic success. The present research had as objective analyzing the relations between vocational interests and academic existences of college students, in the first and last semesters of two courses (Administration and Advocacy). The participants were 159 college students, between 17 and 51 years old. The instruments applied were “Escala de Aconselhamento Profissional” (EAP) and “Questionario de Vivencias Academicas” (QVA-r). The results showed a significant mean difference among the instruments regarding to the course, and only QVA-r showed differences between the students of first and last semesters. Positive and significant correlations between bureaucratic and social/humanistic sciences activities with career and study existences were found.

Importância e domínios de avaliação psicológica: um estudo com alunos de Psicologia

Este trabajo investigo la importancia dada y la percepcion de dominio de estudiantes de Psicologia en relacion a competencias de la evaluacion psicologica. Participaron del estudio 112 estudiantes, predominantemente del sexo femenino y de la region Centro-Oeste, de todos los periodos de la carrera. Fue utilizado un cuestionario con base en las definiciones de las competencias esenciales apuntadas por la American Psychological Association, que contenia 20 items que fueron respondidos de forma separada para el dominio y para la importancia, abordando temas como el conocimiento de constructor psicologicos, saber usar e interpretar testes, ademas de otros. Los items considerados menos importantes fueron, tener nociones de estadistica y conocimiento de la amplia gama de testes. Algunas contradicciones fueron observadas al comparar la importancia y el dominio, a ejemplo de las nociones de estadistica. El analisis de las diferencias de promedio mostro pocas diferencias al observar los items de importancia entre los diferentes anos del curso, pero los de dominio, en su mayor parte, presentaron diferencias significativas.

Level of Differentiation of Vocational Interests Profiles: Comparative Study by Age and Schooling in a Brazilian Sample

Vocational interests can be defined as standards of preference, aversion or indifference to professional activities, but little is known about the factors involved in their development. From this perspective, this study attempted to clarify which variable, age or schooling, better fit comparisons of profile differentiation index. To this end, we analyzed the Escala de Aconselhamento Profissional (Professional Counseling Scale) responses of 6,824 Brazilian students between 14 and 50 years old with various levels of education. Differentiation of the interest profile was observed by subtraction between dimensions with lower and higher scores. Normality of the distributions was verified and then Analysis of Variance and Tukey’s post hoc test were conducted in relation to groups of age and schooling. The results suggest that schooling is a more appropriate variable to compare the differentiation of interests. Construção dos itens da escala de autoeficácia para escolha profissional

This study aimed to report the construction of the items for the Professional Choice Selfefficacy Sca le (EAEEP). In the first step a search in an international database was carried out to raise the production on the subject. In the second, it was proceeded to the implementation of an openanswer i nstrument in 149 subjects of different educational and occupational situations. Content analysis of the answers was carried out, grouping them into four categories, which were reviewed by judges. Finally, the third step involved the pilot application of the original version in high school students to evaluate the clarity of the instructions and wording of items. The results indicated no need for changes in the structure of the scale, that in future studies may have tested its psychometric properties. Vivências acadêmicas e empregabilidade de universitários em final de curso

The aim of this study was to explore the associations between academic experiences and employability in senior college students and verifi y if there is any difference in these variabels between Psychology and Business Manageament students. The participants were 60 students in their fi nal year of undergraduate courses from a private university in Sao Paulo, Brazil, being 76.6% female, with a mean age of 26.7 years (SD = 5.0). For data collection we used Questionario de Vivencias Academicas Reduzido (QVA-r) and Escala de Empregabilidade. The results have shown no signifi cant difference between the courses in any of the variables. Regarding the association between academic experiences and employability, all factors QVA-r showed signifi cant correlations with some dimension of Escala de Empregabilidade, highlighting the interpersonal dimension which partnered with all dimensions of employability. Entrevistas devolutivas em pesquisa em avaliação Psicológica

Apesar de ser um direito dos participantes, nao e comum se observar acoes de devolucao dos resultados de pesquisas em Psicologia com seres humanos. O presente trabalho consiste em um relato de experiencia que tem como objetivo apresentar um processo de devolutiva de dados coletados para um projeto de doutorado, com foco na construcao de um instrumento para uso em orientacao profissional. Os participantes da pesquisa foram 747 estudantes dos ensinos medio e tecnico, de escolas publicas e particulares, que responderam instrumentos de avaliacao de autoeficacia para atividades ocupacionais, interesses profissionais e tracos de personalidade. As entrevistas devolutivas foram realizadas de forma coletiva para alunos de primeiro e segundo anos e de forma individual para aqueles de terceiro ano. As entrevistas, semiestruturadas, foram conduzidas por psicologos mestrandos e doutorandos em Psicologia, acompanhados por observadores, estudantes de graduacao em Psicologia. Em geral, os participantes relataram que os resultados foram positivos, a medida que muitos deles comentaram que essa acao foi importante para refletir sobre a escolha profissional e o autoconhecimento.

Autoeficácia para Escolha Profissional: Teoria, Pesquisas e Avaliação

Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar o construto autoeficacia para escolha profissional, a partir da apresentacao da Teoria Social Cognitiva (TSC) e de sua aplicacao ao contexto das decisoes de carreira. Alem disso, tambem aborda o percurso de sua aplicacao ao campo do desenvolvimento de carreira no contexto mais amplo da Teoria Social Cognitiva do Desenvolvimento de Carreira (TSCDC). Em seguida, o conceito de autoeficacia para escolha profissional e explorado, sendo apresentadas varias pesquisas realizadas no contexto estrangeiro. Conclui-se que o construto, embora carente de mais divulgacao no Brasil, tem obtido espaco no meio cientifico nacional e pode se constituir como uma importante ferramenta de compreensao, planejamento e avaliacao do processo de escolha profissional.

Career Choice Self-Effi cacy Source Scale: Development and Initial Psychometric Studies

Assessment in career counseling can involve various constructs, including that of career choice selfeffi cacy, which refers to one’s belief in one’s ability to engage in career decision-making activities. However, the literature is still incipient in relation to the assessment of the sources of self-effi cacy for making career choices. Accordingly, the present study’s aim was to develop the Career Choice SelfEffi cacy Source Scale (Escala de Fontes de Autoefi cácia para Escolha Profi ssional, or EFAEP; initials in Portuguese). The development process involved the formulation of the items as well as pilot data collection. Upon concluding the scale’s developmental phase, we began data collection, which enjoyed the participation of 388 students between the ages of 14 and 19 years from public and private high schools in the state of São Paulo. In addition to the EFAEP, the students also responded to the Career Choice Self-Effi cacy Scale (Escala de Autoefi cácia para Escolha Profi ssional, or EAE-EP; initials in Portuguese). Principal component analysis was performed, and a three-factor structure exhibited the best fi t, with Cronbach’s alphas ranging between 0.81 and 0.73. Furthermore, all of the EFAEP’s factors displayed positive correlations with the EAE-EP’s factors. The study’s results and limitations are discussed in relation to the literature on the subject.

Qual a finalidade de uma publicação científica

Preparar um novo editorial é uma tarefa acompanhada de muitos significados. Representa o fim de um processo editorial complexo e longo, que se inicia aproximadamente doze meses antes da sua divulgação no Scielo. Também pode significar o início das tratativas de um novo número. Além disso, o que se pretende destacar, implica ampla análise do que se construiu enquanto ciência psicológica. A Psico-USF é uma publicação do Programa de Pós-graduação Stricto Sensu em Psicologia da Universidade São Francisco, que recebeu na última avaliação quadrienal da CAPES a nota 7, reafirmando sua excelência e seu compromisso social e científico com a área de conhecimento. Assim, a revista é parte de suas atribuições e a avaliação se tornou uma prática constante. Neste editorial gostaríamos de problematizar: qual a função da publicação científica? Seguramente ela não deve existir para atender ao chamado ‘produtivismo’ (Guedes, 2011). A publicação é a finalização da pesquisa, é a contribuição social do autor, e é por meio dela que poderá ser contada a história daquele estudo e seus respectivos achados (Trzesniak, 2009). A escolha do periódico faz parte do processo de ‘contar a história’, pois se elege o público com o qual se deseja compartilhar e para o qual os dados serão úteis (Barata, 2015). Com base nessa premissa, a Psico-USF apresenta aos seus leitores o segundo número de 2018. Nesse volume 23, número 2, são oferecidos 14 artigos inéditos referentes às diversas temáticas da Psicologia. Agradecemos aos autores e pareceristas pelas contribuições e esperamos que nossos leitores desfrutem desses trabalhos e possam adquirir novos conhecimentos. A presente edição é iniciada com o trabalho The Construction of the Psycho-sociological Knowledge on Diabetes Mellitus, o qual Fabrycianne Gonçalves Costa e Maria da Penha de Lima Coutinho são autoras. O objetivo das autoras foi analisar as Representações Sociais que pessoas com diabetes elaboram sobre o diabetes mellitus e seu tratamento. O foco do trabalho de Helder Kamei, Maria Cristina Ferreira, Felipe Valentini, Mario Peres, Patrícia Tobo e Bruno Figueiredo Damásio foi apresentar evidências de validade para a versão brasileira reduzida do Questionário de Capital Psicológico. O título do artigo é Psychological Capital Questionnaire – Short Version (pcq-12): Evidence of Validity of the Brazilian Version. Thaís Ramos de Carvalho, Elizabeth Joan Barham, Carolina Duarte de Souza, Elisangela Böing, Maria Aparecida Crepaldi e Mauro Luís Vieira verificaram a adequação de uma adaptação transcultural do Coparenting Relationship Scale no contexto brasileiro. Esse artigo é intitulado Cross-cultural Adaptation of an Instrument to Assess Coparenting: Coparenting Relationship Scale. O objetivo do artigo intitulado Marital Conflict Management of Married Men and Women foi verificar o uso de estratégias construtivas e destrutivas de resolução de conflitos entre homens e mulheres casados e identificar associações dessas estratégias com variáveis sociodemográficas e características do relacionamento. A autoria é de Marina Zanella Delatorre e Adriana Wagner. Predictors of Marital Physical Violence: Personal and Relational Characteristics é um estudo de Karla Rafaela Haack, Juliana Pressi e Denise Falcke. As autoras investigaram o poder preditivo de experiências na família de origem, amor, ajustamento conjugal, esquemas iniciais desadaptativos e clima familiar para a ocorrência de violência física conjugal. O objetivo das autoras Natália Zancan e Luísa Fernanda Habigzang foi avaliar as relações entre níveis de regulação emocional, ansiedade e depressão em mulheres com experiência de violência conjugal. O artigo foi intitulado Regulação Emocional, Sintomas de Ansiedade e Depressão em Mulheres com Histórico de Violência Conjugal. O trabalho intitulado Paternidade em Diferentes Configurações Familiares e o Desenvolvimento Emocional da Filha é de autoria de Andressa Pin Scaglia, Fernanda Kimie Tavares Mishima-Gomes e Valéria Barbieri. O objetivo das autoras foi compreender como pais inseridos em diferentes configurações familiars experimentam a função paterna, associando suas vivências ao desenvolvimento do self de suas filhas.
