Se objetiva describir el perfil de ingresantes en cuanto a sexo, edad, estado civil, identidad escolar (ensenanza primaria y secundaria) y vinculo laboral del primer grupo del Curso de Licenciatura en Enfermeria de la EERP/USP, en 2006, destacando sus implicaciones para el proceso de ensenanza-aprendizaje. Estudio de naturaleza descriptiva-exploratoria, que utiliza cuestionario como tecnica de recoleccion de datos. Los resultados seran presentados de modo descriptivo, con frecuencia absoluta y porcentual. La faja etaria de estudiantes es diversa, variando entre 19 y 46 anos, la mayoria (46%) proviene de escuela publica (ensenanza secundaria), existiendo 42 personas con vinculo laboral, actuando el 67% de ellos en el area de la salud. Estos datos podrian traer implicancias para la practica pedagogica del profesor.The objective of this study is to describe the profile of the entering students as to gender, age, marital status, educational background (elementary and high school studies) and employment status of the first class of the Nursing Teaching Diploma Program in EERP/USP, in the year 2006, highlighting their implications for the teaching-learning process. This descriptive exploratory study used a questionnaire for data collection. Results are presented in a descriptive way, with absolute and percentage frequency. The age group of the students is diverse, varying from 19 to 46 years old, most (67.5%) of them comes from public schools (high school studies), 42% work, of those, 67% already work in the health area. These data can influence in the pedagogical practice of professors.

This study aims to report the experience of teaching in courses directed to basic and professional education in a Nursing Teaching Diploma Program, reflecting specifically on the implications of the problemsolving methodology for the faculty work. Working with this methodology demands constant reflection and dialogue among the faculty involved, and continuous attention in recreating the daily routine in the clas sroom, preventing that stages proposed in the pedagogical cycle become mere moments to be accomplished from the technical point of view. It is essential to create spaces for the reflective processes and for the construction of responsible autonomy by students. There are, in addition, demand from the institution related to the organization and valorization of the faculty work in the university, also involving continuing effort on pedagogical education of professors.

Objective: To evaluate the pattern of tobacco consumption in clients of a service specializing in the treatment of psychoactive substance dependence. Methods: This was a descriptive quantitative approach, undertaken in 2009, in an Alcohol and Drugs Psychosocial Care Center, located within the State of Sao Paulo. We used a questionnaire containing sociodemographic information and the Fargestrom test in 48 attendees in a single day at this service. Results: The sample was characterized as predominantly adult males, unmarried, with low educational levels, and who were currently employed. In relation to smoking, we identified a high frequency of current smokers, with moderate level of tobacco dependence, motivated to change their smoking habits. Este estudo faz parte de contexto que envolve a formacao de professores para a educacao profissional tecnica de nivel medio (EPTNM), a ampliacao de vagas publicas no ensino superior e politica de inclusao social. Tem como objetivo descrever e analisar o perfil dos estudantes ingressantes do curso de Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Enfermagem, da Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirao Preto/Universidade de Sao Paulo (EERP/USP), de 2006 a 2015, por meio de estudo de natureza exploratorio-descritiva, utilizando questionario como tecnica de coleta de dados, contendo dados de identificacao pessoal, profissional, escolar e cultural. Os participantes foram os alunos ingressantes no curso citado, desde a primeira turma, em 2006, ate o ano de 2015. A partir da analise dos dados, foram observadas mudancas no perfil de aluno ingressante no que se refere, principalmente, a faixa etaria, escolaridade previa e ingresso de trabalhadores. Essas mudancas trazem demandas pedagogicas, institucionais e politicas.
