This study sought to identify the risk indicators associated with the consumption of illicit drugs by schoolchildren in public schools in a community in the south of Brazil. This is a non-experimental cross-sectional study conducted with 535 students of primary schoolchildren from six public schools. Data were collected using a questionnaire between October 2011 and March 2012. The results were presented by simple and relative distribution of frequency and odds ratio (OR) and the 95% reliability intervals were calculated to verify the association between the dependent and independent variables. Multivariate analysis was also performed using the question have you ever used illicit drugs? Univariate analysis revealed an association between family income, color, period in which the child studied, failure to pass annual tests, use of methods of prevention, smoking habit and knowing someone who uses drugs with the fact of having experimented with the use of illicit drugs. After multivariate analysis, the smoking habit was the only indicator significantly associated with the question of having made use of illicit drugs. The results indicate that the smoking habit is an important indicator of the predictive risk for the use of illicit drugs.

Objetivo: conhecer as contribuicoes do cuidado ludico em enfermagem no estimulo a aceitacao da desintoxicacao quimica pelo usoxa0do crack na percepcao das pessoas em processo de desintoxicacao. Metodos: estudo exploratorio, descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa, realizado com cinco pessoas internadas para desintoxicacaoxa0quimica do crack, no periodo de marco a julho de 2013, em uma unidade de desintoxicacao quimica de um hospital de medio portexa0da regiao central do Rio Grande do Sul. Os dados foram coletados por meio de uma entrevista semiestruturada e foram submetidosxa0a analise de conteudo. Resultados: emergiram duas categorias: O cuidado ludico em enfermagem como um estimulo a aceitacao da desintoxicacao quimica;xa0Cuidado ludico em enfermagem na promocao para o viver saudavel apos a desintoxicacao quimica. Objetivou-se descrever as contribuicoes da enfermagem nas relacoes familiares de escolares que apresentam alteracoes no comportamento e no rendimento escolar. Pesquisa-acao, fundamentada no metodo da problematizacao, em que se fez uso do Metodo do Arco, implementado em cinco etapas: observacao da realidade, pontos-chave, teorizacao, hipoteses de solucao e aplicacao a realidade. Foi realizada em uma escola municipal localizada na regiao oeste da cidade de Santa Maria-RS. Participaram da amostra 25 familias de escolares, no periodo de marco a maio de 2012. Verificou-se que o sonho de ter a familia ideal existe, porem a realidade vivenciada ainda e permeada por inumeras dificuldades e requer modificacoes. Cuidar das relacoes da familia mostra-se como uma possibilidade da sociedade desenvolver-se mais dignamente, considerando a potente influencia que essa exerce no desenvolvimento e na formacao do carater das pessoas.This study aimed to describe the contributions of nursing in the family relationships of scholars who have changes in school behavior and performance. Its an action research, based on the questioning method, using the Arc Method, implemented in five stages: reality observation, key-points, theory, possible solutions, and application to reality. The research happened in a municipal school, located in the west of Santa Maria-RS. 25 scholars families participated in the sample, during March to May of 2012. It was noticed that the dream of having an ideal family exists, but the lived reality is still permeated by a lot of difficulties and require modifications. Thus, take care of the family relationships shows up as a possibility of society to develop worthily, considering the powerful influence it has on the people character development and formation.

Aim: to describe the experience of mothers in relation to the admission of premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Method: qualitative research developed with nine mothers whose children were admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Data collection occurred during the months of September and October 2008 through semi-structured interviews with open questions. The data were subjected to thematic analysis. Results: with data analysis emerged the following categories: Caring of infant: staying with her mother; and Caring of infant: challenges faced by mothers during hospitalization. Conclusions: provide the link through attachment, the care provided by the mother, feeding, affection, lap, hug, among others, is essential at this stage of the family life. The nursing can help in promotion of health and quality of life for premature infants and families through strategies that include them in care.

Objective: to search meaning of healthy living for street dweller of Santa Maria, RS. Method: qualitative and explorative research. Results: twenty male individuals were interviewed, in the period of February to June of 2009. The participators were selected casually, with the one criterion of inclusion being street dweller, with or without temporary permanence in the hostel. Data were analyzed under the light of hermeneutic interpretation, because this referential allows understanding with profoundness the text, the discourse of the participators, when emerge three categories. Final considerations: while for same street dwellers to live in the street means liberty, for others the hostel means to abstain themselves of alcohol ingestion and of others illicit drugs, promoting so a healthy living
