Caracterização de recém-nascidos de baixo peso internados em uma unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal

Aim: characterize low weight newborns (LWNB) admitted in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a University Hospital in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul. Methods: quantitative descriptive and cross-sectional research developed with a population of 162 LWNB. Data were submitted through statistical analysis. Results: demostrated that in relation to sex ratio was 1:1 and most newborns were preterm. We identified a high index of cesarean, and as main reasons for NICU hospitalization Enfermeira. Revelação do diagnóstico de HIV para o adolescente: modos de ser cotidiano

Objetivo: Comprender el significado de la revelacion del diagnostico del virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana para el adolescente. Metodos: Investigacion fenomenologica sostenida por el referencial teorico-metodologico de Martin Heidegger. Participaron de la entrevista fenomenologica 12 adolescentes en servicio especializado de un hospital universitario del sur de Brasil, entre Noviembre de 2011 y Febrero de 2012. Resultados: Fueron construidas dos unidades de significacion: saber del diagnostico antes que la familia y/o los profesionales de salud les cuenten a ellos, aunque no se comprenda como ocurrio la transmision y la necesidad de tratamiento; vivir como una persona comun, puesto que diferente es el virus, y convivir con medicaciones y la rutina hospitalaria. Estas unidades de significacion formaron el hilo conductor de la interpretacion, la cual ha desnudado los sentidos. Conclusion: El enfermero tiene la posibilidad de promover el movimiento vivido a traves de consultas y grupos con estos adolescentes.Objective: Understand the meaning of the disclosure of the diagnosis of the human immunodeficiency virus for the teenager. Methods: Phenomenological research with theoretical-methodological framework of Martin Heidegger. It was developed a phenomenological interview with twelve teenagers in a referral service in a teaching hospital in the South of Brazil, from november 2011 to february 2012. Results: Were set up two units of meaning: The unveiled that they already knew the diagnosis. Told them and they knew how the transmission happened; Known as the transmission of the virus and in need of treatment; Be a normal person, the different is the virus, have to take medicine and go to the hospital. These units of meaning were the thread of interpretation, which desvelaran way. Conclusion: The nurse has the possibility to promote the experience movement through consultations and groups with these teenagers.

Análise dos fatores relacionados à mortalidade infantil no município de Chapecó, Santa Catarina, 2000 a 2012

Objective: To describe the factors related to mortality of children under one year old in Chapeco, Santa Catarina. Methods: this is an epidemiological study, of the observational type, with secondary data from the Mortality Information System from 2000 to 2012 was carried out statistical analysis using the Chi-squared tests and Relative Risk. We used p <0.05 significance level. Results: reported to 484 infant deaths in the period, of which there was a significant relationship between infant mortality and duration of pregnancy, as well as maternal education, and birth weight. In addition, the relative risk for deaths linked to diseases of the perinatal period, infectious, parasitic and respiratory system. Conclusion: Although infant mortality rates are decreasing, still characterized as a public health problem and a challenge to be overcome by the Unified Health System, as many infant deaths are from preventable and avoidable causes.

Adesão ao tratamento antirretroviral para o HIV e sua inter-relação com a vulnerabilidade programática

Objective: To analyze the scientific production from the aspects of programmatic vulnerability and their relationship in adherence to antiretroviral treatment for HIV/ AIDS. Method: Narrative review of the literature. Data collection took place in February 2014 in the databases MEDLINE and LILACS and subjected to thematic content analysis. Results: A total of 16 productions, of which point out the aspects of programmatic vulnerability and their interrelation in the membership: 1) the commitment and responsibility of professionals and staff; 2) access to health services; and 3) organization of services. Conclusion: The health services intend has to promote the adherence may to establish its practices assistances with commitment and responsibility, ensuring a service organization, as well as their access. Women in antiretroviral therapy: sociodemographic, behavioral and medication treatment profiling, Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil, 2011

Objective: to describe sociodemographic, behavioral and treatment profiling of women in antiretroviral therapy for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. Methods: this was a descriptive study conducted from July to December 2011 at a university hospital in southern Brazil with women aged over 20 living with HIV; a questionnaire composed of closed and open questions was used for data collection. Results: 81 women participated. 30 were aged 30-39, 51 had incomplete primary education and 49 had low socio-economic conditions. 66 women acquired HIV through sexual intercourse. With regard to treatment, 77 women knew they needed to take antiretrovirals, 66 didn’t depend on anybody to remember to take them and 41 women thought that treatment was easy. Conclusion: we suggest that health services seek to leverage adherence to treatment by taking into consideration women’s sociodemographic, behavioral, and treatment profile.OBJETIVO:descrever o perfil sociodemografico, comportamental e de tratamento de mulheres em terapia antirretroviral para sindrome da imunodeficiencia adquirida.METODOS:estudo descritivo, realizado de julho a dezembro de 2011, em hospital universitario do sul do Brasil, com mulheres maiores de 20 anos que vivem com o HIV; para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se questionario com questoes fechadas e abertas.RESULTADOS:foram incluidas 81 mulheres, das quais 30 possuiam idade entre 30 e 39 anos, 51 tinham Ensino Fundamental incompleto e 49, renda familiar menor que dois salarios minimos; para 66 mulheres, a forma de transmissao foi por relacao sexual; acerca do tratamento, 77 mulheres sabiam por que precisavam tomar antirretrovirais, 66 nao dependiam de alguem para se lembrar de toma-los e 41 consideravam facil realizar o tratamento.CONCLUSAO:sugere-se que os servicos de saude busquem potencializar, o comportamento de adesao considerando o perfil sociodemografico, comportamental e de tratamento das mulheres.
