Objectives: To quantify and describe the characteristics of scientifi c production on the teaching of nursing leadership concerning the type of publication, year, vehicle, country, language and theme. Methods: A descriptive and bibliometric study conducted in databases of the BVS, using descriptors: teaching, leadership and nursing. Results: Over 37 years, we identifi ed 73 publications, mostly found in the MEDLINE database and consisting of original articles published in North American journals, written in English, and dealing with teaching strategies. Conclusions: The scientifi c production was sparse but constant during the study period, authored predominantly by North Americans, and published in scientifi c journals in the United States, which indicated the necessity to develop research on the subject in Brazil.OBJETIVOS: Cuantificar y describir las caracteristicas de la produccion cientifica sobre la ensenanza del liderazgo en enfermeria en cuanto al tipo de publicacion, ano, vehiculo, pais, idioma y tematica abordada. METODOS: Estudio descriptivo, de tipo bibliometrico, realizado en bases de datos de la BVS, con los descriptores ensenanza, liderazgo y enfermeria. RESULTADOS: En 37 anos, fueron identificadas 73 publicaciones, la mayoria encontrada en la base de datos MEDLINE y constituida de articulos originales publicados en periodicos norteamericanos, escritos en ingles y versando sobre estrategias de ensenanzas. CONCLUSIONES: La produccion cientifica fue escasa pero constante en el periodo estudiado, de autoria predominantemente americana y publicada en periodicos cientificos en los Estados Unidos, lo que indico la necesidad de desarrollar inestigaciones sobre el asunto en el Brasil.

Objective: to identify the scientific evidence on strategies to teach leadership in undergraduate nursing courses. Methods: an integrative review of the literature carried out in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Nursing Databases, Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature, Public Medline and Web of Science. Results: fourteen articles from the 356 retrieved in the survey were included in the review. The main teaching strategies identified were: nursing internship, simulation of real clinical events and use of audiovisual resources that positively impact leadership learning. Conclusion: creative ways and innovative approaches to learning improve leadership behaviors, favor the training of leaders among nursing undergraduates, and refute conventional and passive pedagogy.

INTRODUCTION the Journal Club (JC) is a teaching and learning strategy developed by individuals who meet to discuss scientific articles in periodicals. OBJECTIVE to describe the experience of the JC strategy at the Group for Studies and Research in Health Services Administration and Nursing Management (Gepag). METHOD case studies or scientific research demonstration mode of practical experience for the understanding and justification of facts. RESULTS Gepag JC emerged in 2008 and, in 2014, was computerized with the Google Drive®, in order to increase its scope and optimize the Group›s meetings. From April to May 2014, the instrument was tested and adjusted, resulting in advancements. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS the advantages involved optimizing the time of meetings, facilitation of access to publications of interest to the Group and creating the database to support future research.

Objective: To identify management competences related to patient safety. Method: It is an integrative literature review. The research was carried out in 2017, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, in Public Medline (PubMed) database. The texts included should be available in full and address the theme proposed. Results: A total of 34 articles were selected and 11 competences were identified: leadership, safety culture, teamwork, communication, advocacy, risk management, concept competence, functional competence, emotional intelligence, decision making and safety-focused management and planning. Identifying the competences allowed for their definition in the context of management, when applicable in the surgical area, in addition to verifying strategies for their development. Conclusion: Although only one database was used for the research, it is recommended that subsequent studies adopt these strategies, which will allow for institution managers to plan and implement the culture of safety in a more effective and concrete way.
