Levels of career commitment and career entrenchment of nurses from public and private hospitals

Objetivo: verificar a predominância dos tipos de vinculos - comprometimento e entrincheiramento - com a carreira, de enfermeiros de instituicoes hospitalares publicas e privadas. Metodos: trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo, com abordagem quantitativa. Participaram da pesquisa 237 enfermeiros, por meio de um questionario contendo 43 questoes sobre dados sociodemograficos, ocupacionais e vinculos com a carreira. Para analise dos dados utilizou-se estatistica descritiva, analise de frequencia e teste U de Mann-Whitney. Resultados: enfermeiros de hospitais publicos e privados apresentam alto nivel de comprometimento e nivel mediano de entrincheiramento com a carreira. Conclusoes: os enfermeiros possuem um vinculo maior de afeto e identificacao com sua carreira do que estagnacao, mantido primeiramente pelos investimentos realizados, seguido dos custos emocionais e por falta de alternativas. Tal fato esta associado a permanencia dos individuos na enfermagem e maior empenho nas atividades.Objective: to determine the prevalence of the types of relations to career - commitment and entrenchment - of nurses from public and private hospitals. Methods: field survey with a quantitative approach. A total of 237 nurses participated in the survey through a questionnaire with 43 questions about sociodemographic data, occupation, and relation to career. Descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, and Mann-Whitney U test were used for data analysis. Results: nurses from public and private hospitals have a high level of career commitment and a median level of career entrenchment. Conclusions: nurses have a stronger relation of affection and identification to career than a relation of stagnation, maintained primarily due to investments, followed by emotional costs and lack of alternatives. This fact is associated with individuals continuing in nursing and having a strong commitment to activities.

Práticas de gestão e cognição gerencial: uma análise utilizando a técnica do "Grid de Kelly"

The aim of the present study is to analyse how head managers of the production sector of four industrial companies, classified in four different patterns of adoption of innovative practices, structure their knowledge in relation to a set of twelve practices. To do so, it was used the cognitive mapping methodology based on the Kelly Grid technique. The cognitive system built by the managers were analysed in three categories: the differentiation, the complexity and the integration. The categories identified were presented in the form of individual managerial cognitive maps. The results show that managers, in general, present a low level of differentiation of their cognitive structures in relation to the practices investigated. It was found, as well, a greater level of complexity of such structures in the map of the manager in the context considered Very Innovative, showing that his understanding of such practices is wider.

Melhoria de indicadores de desempenho de produção em uma empresa de pequeno porte por meio de um sistema de informação ERP gratuito

Inserted in a highly competitive market scenario, micro and small enterprises face numerous obstacles to remain in the market. Data surveyed reveal that 98% of Brazilian companies are micro and small, which shows their importance to the national economy. Thus, it is necessary for managers to effectively manage the work routine in order to improve the management and consequently the performance of these enterprises. Aiming to improve the management of the productive process of a small company, the present study aims to implement a free ERP management system focused on the improvement of production performance indicators. The research is classified as action research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, having as procedure the case study. As results, indicators were verified before, during and after the implementation of the ERP system, and it was concluded through the measurement that the implemented system brought improvements to the performance of the researched organization. Percepção dos colaboradores da equipe de enfermagem quanto ao estilo de liderança de seu superior imediato

Este estudo tem como objetivo verificar a percepcao dos colaboradores da equipe de Enfermagem quanto ao estilo de lideranca de seu superior imediato e comparar a forma como esses se desenvolvem em instituicoes hospitalares publicas e privadas. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa descritiva de carater quantitativo. A populacao do estudo foi composta por enfermeiros, tecnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem. Para a analise dos dados utilizou-se o calculo de estatisticas descritivas (tabelas de frequencias, medidas de tendencia central, medidas de dispersao e padronizacao das medias dos construtos). Os resultados indicaram que os gestores, tanto nos hospitais publicos quanto nos privados, apresentam um nivel alto para a lideranca transformacional e mediano para a lideranca transacional. Entretanto, apesar de haver um predominio do estilo transformacional, em geral, a atuacao do superior como lider se destaca quando existem problemas a serem resolvidos. Alem disso, os resultados verificados nesta pesquisa demonstram ser possivel a coexistencia dos estilos de lideranca transacional e transformacional, os quais, nao sao abordagens opostas, mas contribuem uma com a outra para o bom desempenho organizacional.

A influência do comprometimento, do entrincheiramento e do suporte à transferência de treinamento sobre o impacto do treinamento no trabalho

This article aims to identify the influence of organizational commitment and entrenchment, as well as support for the transfer of training on the impact of on-the-job training. For this, a sample of 392 servers from a public institution of higher education who responded to a questionnaire prepared from previously validated self-assessment models was used. After quantitatively analyzing the data, the results showed positive correlations between affective commitment, the impact of training and support to transfer at work; and negative correlations between the training impact at work and the dimensions of entrenchment (limitations of alternatives and bureaucratic arrangements). It was concluded, therefore, that the nature of the individuals link with the organization differently affects the transfer of the learning obtained in the trainings, which can subsidize strategies for the strengthening of the training impact at work. RELAÇÃO DO MODELO AGENCY-COMMUNITY E OS VÍNCULOS ORGANIZACIONAIS

Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar a relacao entre os vinculos de comprometimento e entrincheiramento organizacional e o modelo de gestao de pessoas agency-community na percepcao dos Servidores Tecnico-Administrativos em Educacao. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como de natureza descritiva, com emprego de abordagem quantitativa. A amostra de pesquisa 162 participantes de uma Instituicao Federal de Ensino, localizada no Estado do Maranhao, aos quais aplicou-se um questionario elaborado com base no modelo de comprometimento e entrincheiramento proposto por Bastos, Siqueira, Medeiros et al. (2008) e do modelo a gency-community de Rousseau e Arthur (1999). Ainda, os resultados deste estudo foram confrontados com o estudo sobre a tematica realizado por Segala (2013) em uma Instituicao Federal de Ensino do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Os resultados permitiram identificar correlacoes positivas significativas entre o modelo community e o comprometimento instrumental e afetivo, o que pode evidenciar uma tendencia ou propensao ao estabelecimento do vinculo de natureza afetiva nos trabalhadores de organizacoes que possuem uma gestao de pessoas do tipo community.

ECONOMIA SOLIDÁRIA UM CAMPO DE ESTUDO EM CONSTRUÇÃO: ANÁLISE DA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA NACIONAL DE 2000 A 2015

A expansao das iniciativas de economia solidaria no Brasil e resultado de um processo orgânico de articulacao que procura manter os empreendimentos economicos solidarios no mercado apesar de suas peculiaridades. Situar a discussao acerca da gestao dessas organizacoes faz-se importante no campo teorico dos estudos em administracao, visto que as caracteristicas de tais empreendimentos diferem-se, em partes, das empresas tradicionais. Assim, o presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar a producao cientifica brasileira sobre economia solidaria e temas correlatos a partir das publicacoes na area de administracao no periodo de 2000 a 2015. Para isso, realizou-se um estudo bibliometrico de abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. A partir dos resultados obtidos concluiu-se que, quantitativamente, ha um numero progressivo de publicacoes no periodo analisado com predominância dos estudos empiricos, de natureza exploratoria e abordagem qualitativa cuja escolha dos objetos de pesquisa mostra uma tendencia a favor de empreendimentos solidarios, associacoes e cooperativas. Ja sob a perspectiva qualitativa, os temas correlatos de maior incidencia foram gestao social, autogestao, sustentabilidade e politicas publicas.

ESTRESSE OCUPACIONAL NA PERSPECTIVA DOS BOMBEIROS DA CIDADE DE SANTA MARIA/RS

O objetivo do estudo foi identificar o nivel de estresse ocupacional dos bombeiros de Santa Maria/RS, no qual foi atingido atraves do metodo de pesquisa survey , com uso da Escala de Estresse no Trabalho de Paschoal e Tamayo (2004). Os resultados apresentaram nivel moderado de estresse ocupacional, o que e preocupante, pois caso nao sejam realizadas intervencoes para minimizar, podera se intensificar. Os principais estressores sao: deficiencia nos treinamentos, deficiencia na divulgacao das informacoes, pouca perspectiva de crescimento na carreira, a forma como sao distribuidas as tarefas e a falta de informacao sobre as tarefas desempenhadas pelo proprio bombeiro.

Comprometimento e entrincheiramento organizacional: explorando as relações entre os construtos

This study aimed to examine the relationships between the bases of the constructs Organizational Commitment and Organizational Entrenchment. For this, we carried out a survey of a quantitative character with 392 servers administrative staff of a Federal University, to which a questionnaire containing validated scales for the Brazilian context was applied. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis to verify the relationship between the constitutive dimensions of the two constructs. The main results showed a moderate correlation of instrumental and normative bases of commitment revealing the ambiguity surrounding the definition of these bases proposed by Meyer and Allen (1991) model. The bases instrumental and affective showed low correlation reinforcing the idea that it should not be treated as two dimensions of the same construct. Moreover, affective commitment was not correlated with the entrenchment, showing that they are separate bond. These results support the proposal that the commitment must be treated as a unidimensional construct (restricted to affective base), while the instrumental or continuing base shall be considered a separate construct called organizational entrenchment.
