Análise espacial da violência doméstica contra a mulher entre os anos de 2002 e 2005 em João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brasil

This was a quantitative, ecological, exploratory study using spatial analysis and a geographic information system. The population consisted of all the women that had filed complaints against domestic violence in the city of Joao Pessoa, Paraiba State, Brazil, from 2002 to 2005, at the Specialized Police Precinct for Women. The aim was to investigate the spatial distribution of domestic violence in order to assist policymakers in the decision-making process. Analysis of the results allowed identifying areas of low and high incidence of domestic violence, besides comparing the risk in each neighborhood to the overall rate for the city of Joao Pessoa. Based on the Getis and Ord index, the study produced a decision on priority areas for intervening in domestic violence. The authors highlight the need for changes in care for female victims of violence and the link among institutions with permanent education in the services, including discussions on gender and violence against women.

Ensino do processo de enfermagem: planejamento e inserção em matrizes curriculares

Este trabalho objetiva analisar a abordagem do ensino do processo de enfermagem, a partir dos planos de curso das disciplinas que evidenciam as bases conceituais e metodologicas do processo de enfermagem em instituicoes de Ensino Superior, em uma capital do Nordeste brasileiro. Os resultados evidenciaram que as disciplinas tem natureza prevalentemente teorica, apresentam ementas e bases conceituais com enfase no suporte teorico-filosofico do processo de enfermagem, bem como no estudo das fases que o compoe. Evidenciou-se ainda a expressao e prevalencia dos objetivos de dominio cognitivo e psicomotor e a utilizacao da metodologia tradicional.

A Saúde Mental no PSF e o trabalho de enfermagem

Pesquisa com a finalidade de compreender os limites/possibilidades de implementacao de acoes de saude mental nos servicos da rede basica de saude do municipio de Cabedelo PB, na perspectiva da Reforma Psiquiatrica proposta no pais. Tem referencial teorico-metodologico no Materialismo Historico e Dialetico. O material empirico foi analisado pela tecnica de analise do discurso. Os resultados indicaram que o processo de trabalho dos enfermeiros identifica-se com o processo de trabalho Assistir (Cuidar/Fazer). Preserva aspectos do modelo tradicional, mas, incorpora outros enfoques da Saude Coletiva, num movimento que requer a compreensao dos pressupostos do movimento pela Reforma Psiquiatrica para a transformacao do processo de trabalho de enfermagem, no sentido da inclusao social e da integralidade da assistencia.Research with the purpose of understanding the limits/possibilities of the implementation of mental health actions in the services of the basic health system of the municipal district of Cabedelo-PB, in the perspective of the Psychiatric Reform proposed in the country. It has theoretical-methodological reference in the Historical Materialism and Dialectics. The empiric material was analyzed by the technique of speech analysis. The results indicated that the work process of the nurses identifies with the work process to Attend (Care/Making). It preserves aspects of the traditional model, but it incorporates other focuses of the Collective Health, in a movement that requests the understanding of the presuppositions of the movement for the Psychiatric Reform for the transformation of the work process of nursing, in the sense of the social inclusion and of the integrality of the assistance.

Constituição de competências para a intervenção no processo saúde-doença da população: desafio ao educador de enfermagem

RESUMO Tomando como objeto de estudo a pratica educativa ensino e avaliacao operada no Estagio Rural Integrado da Universidade Federal da Paraiba, os autores discutem sobre a centralidade dos conhecimentos nesta pratica educativa e consideram a possibilidade de se implantar processos de ensino e avaliacao transformadores, ancorados na abordagem pedagogica por Competencias. Propoem a utilizacao desta abordagem e da metodologia da TIPESC Teoria da Intervencao Praxica da Enfermagem em Saude Coletiva como orientadores dos processos de formacao de forca de trabalho em saude e, em particular de enfermagem, visando a constituicao de sujeitos criticos e reflexivos que atendam aos requerimentos do Sistema Unico de Saude.

Formação de Enfermeiros na perspectiva da Reforma Psiquiátrica

This study is the result of research conducted by senior students of the Nursing Course on the conceptions of the mental health/disease process in the perspective of the Psychiatric Reform proposed countrywide. It was based on the theoretical-methodological system of the Historical and Dialectical Materialism and it has Work as its category of analysis. The empirical material was analyzed through the Speech Analysis technique. Condições Sensíveis à Atenção Primária: uma revisão descritiva dos resultados da produção acadêmica brasileira

O estudo propoe-se descrever e analisar os resultados da producao academica brasileira sobre Internacoes por Condicoes Sensiveis a Atencao Primaria. Revisao descritiva e analitica realizada em artigos cientificos de Portais de Periodicos. Vinte e um artigos integraram o estudo, os quais foram subdivididos segundo a abrangencia territorial, sendo 9,6% nacional, 4,8% do Nordeste, 9,6% do Centro-Oeste, 33,3% do Sul e 42,7% do Sudeste. As Internacoes por Causas Sensiveis a Atencao Primaria, apesar de se apresentarem altas em alguns estados e/ou cidades isoladas, sofrem uma tendencia para estabilizacao e reducao nas diferentes regioes brasileiras.

The Marital Violence under a gender view: domination and possibility of destruction of the hegemonily idealized model of marriage.

This study is intended to enlarge the understanding of marital violence. In a qualitative analysis the research investigated what marital violence does mean to women victims of this kind of violence and how it affects their biological, emotional and social life. The results of the qualitative material in this research were achieved through interviews with women in situation of reported violence whose speeches were analyzed under the perspective of Fiorin 3. The analysis of the speeches showed that marital violence is a manifestation of the power assimmetry present in the relation of the genders and the women´s emotional feelings as well as their standard idealized profile as woman, wife and mother turned out to be a strong hidrance to their liberation from that violent relation and oppressive condition. The difficulty to face such a condition results in women having to go on living with their aggressors, which makes marital violence a recurrent, multifaceted phenomenon affecting their physical, mental and social health. Política de formação inclusiva: percepção de gestores sobre processo de mudanças em Instituições de Ensino Superior

Estudio exploratorio descriptivo cualitativo, llevado a cabo en Instituciones de Enseno Superior (IES) que ofrecen Curso de Enfermeria en Joao Pessoa-PB. El objetivo del estudio fue comprender la concepcion de los dirigentes sobre la necesidad de cambio organizacional para adecuarse a la clientela con necesidades especiales. Cuatro dirigentes participaron en el estudio. Se llevo a cabo una entrevista semi-estructurada con los dirigentes, y para interpretar los datos se utilizo el metodo de analisis de discurso segun Fiorin. Se registro preocupacion de los dirigentes en atender las demandas de las politicas de inclusion, incluso en la adecuacion de los espacios fisicos y en la pedagogia adoptada para atender a los estudiantes. Algunos de los dirigentes admitieron poco preparo personal para atender a la clientela con necesidades especiales, como tambien las instituciones que representaban no disponian de trabajo logistico eficiente y compatible con las propuestas de inclusion preconizadas por la legislacion vigente. Se concluye que el proceso de cambios estructurales y pedagogicos en las IES actualmente se construyen despacio y gradualmente, requiriendo actuacion de dirigentes cualificados y comprometidos en ejecutar, civil y legalmente, politicas de inclusion dirigidas a esa clientela.

Formação de formadores: a prática educativa de um programa de pós-graduação em enfermagem

This study aimed at understanding the educational practices operated in the Graduate Nursing Program of the Center of Sciences of the Health of the Federal University of Paraiba - UFPB and at identifying the produced contradictions, to the light of emancipatory pedagogic references and also non-emancipatory ones. This is a study of qualitative approach. The teachers and students of the Graduate Nursing Program of UFPB were the subject of the study. The semi-structured interview was used, and the analysis of the data happened through the technique of speech analysis. The evidenced empiric categories were: Contradictions in the Process of Formation of Teachers and Influence of the Educational Emancipatory ando non-Emancipatory Practices. It was verified that the teachers’ Educational Practice is found in bases of non-Emancipatory, fact ratified by the speech of the students.
