Aprendizagem de sinais vitais utilizando objetos educacionais digitais: opinião de estudantes de enfermagem

Ana Luísa Petersen Cogo; Denise Tolfo Silveira; Eva Neri Rubim Pedro; Raquel Yurika Tanaka; Vanessa Menezes Catalan

Denise Tolfo Silveira; Vanessa Menezes Catalan; Agnes Ludwig Neutzling; Luísa Helena Machado Martinato

Objective: To describe the opinions of students regarding the use of technology, educational practices experienced, support for the learner and learning results achieved through the virtual environment. Methods: This is an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative approach, performed in a School of Nursing, with the participation of 43 students, of the discipline Human Care Fundamentals I, who responded to a questionnaire, evaluating the process used. Results: Data showed that the evaluation of the proposed activity on vital signs, using a computer, was positive regarding the use of technology, the educational practices experienced, the learner support and the results achieved, by learning through the virtual environment. Conclusion: The technology energizes the classroom teaching and allowed the development of skills in the area of computer science and in methodology for solving problems. The objective of this study was to present the computerized structure that enables the use of the Nursing Activities Score (NAS) in mobile technology. It is a project for the development of technology production based on software engineering, founded on the theory of systems development life cycle. The NAS system was built in two modules: the search module, which is accessed using a personal computer (PC), and Data Collection module, which is accessed through a mobile device (Smartphone). The NAS system was constructed to allow other forms, in addition to the NAS tool, to be included in the future. Thus, it is understood that the development of the NAS will bring nurses closer to mobile technology and facilitate their accessibility to the data of the instrument relating to patients, thus assisting in decision-making and in staffing to provide nursing care.

Ana Luísa Petersen Cogo; Eva Neri Rubim Pedro; Denise Tolfo Silveira; Ana Paula Scheffer Schell da Silva; Rosa Helena Kreutz Alves; Vanessa Menezes Catalan

This paper describes a development project of digital learning objects in nursing, and the evaluation of their use by teachers and undergraduate nursing students. The strategies for their development were composed of the following stages: conceptual modeling, development of instructional materials, implementation in a virtual learning environment, and evaluation. This is an ongoing study and preliminary results demonstrate that teachers and students evaluated the design and the content of the nursing digital learning objects satisfactorily, but demonstrate difficulties in using them. The results point to the impact of innovation through the consolidation of the use of educational technologies integrated to the teaching of nursing, as well as a support program for teachers. This paper describes a development project of digital learning objects in nursing, and the evaluation of their use by teachers and undergraduate nursing students.

This article describes the categorization of the elements identified from the nursing check-up in ambulatory occupational health. This is a retrospective descriptive study that was conducted in the Nursing Ambulatory Center at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. The data sources were the nursing records used in outpatient unit and from the records of the institutions database, collected from August 1998 to August 2003. Of the 106 patient records used, 777 records were identified as first-time encounter and nursing return appointments. The initial results of this study suggest that the demographic elements of the patient/client, nursing care elements, service elements, and occupational health elements comprise a nursing essential data set in the area of occupational health.
