Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a utilizacao de sistemas de informacao enquanto instrumento para a tomada de decisao no exercicio da gerencia. Apresenta resultados da pesquisa realizada com os coordenadores e gerentes das unidades funcionais do Hospital das Clinicas da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Baseada em pesquisa descritiva, a analise dos dados revela que o modelo de gerencia fundamentado em unidades funcionais e um passo importante para a reorganizacao institucional. Demonstra que os sistemas de informacao sao instrumentos importantes para o exercicio da gerencia. Aponta subsidios para o desenvolvimento de sistemas de informacao, bem como para sua automacao.

This study aims at reporting an experience of offering a course in the master program of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. The purpose is to offer elements for a reflection on a conception of long-distance education, as an adequate and efficient modality of education, aiming at enabling a teaching with quality to a determined clientele. The course was developed in three moments: video-conference, long-distance didactic activities and a seminar. The tutoring was shared by establishing the challenge of having a dialogic relation with the students. Authors believe that long-distance education is an adequate pedagogical tool to qualify nurses who have no access to traditional graduate studies. Therefore it enables the qualification of a greater number of nurses, geographically dispersed, who are unable to scape from the routine of their personal and professional lives. Este trabajo es el resultado de una reflexion en el proceso de la educacion permanente en salud y enfermeria. Tiene como objetivo presentar algunas perspectivas y tendencias en la educacion en salud y enfermeria, con enfasis en la educacion permanente. Analiza la importancia de los avances tecnologicos y de su incorporacion en el proceso ensenanza-aprendizaje. El texto se divide en tres partes, acercando inicialmente los cambios en las organizaciones y en la educacion, derivados de la incorporacion tecnologica. Separa la necesidad de la adopcion de nuevos modelos pedagogicos con la intencion de (re)construir el conocimiento. Despues, discute la educacion en enfermeria que hace una descripcion de la situacion actual y senala algunas perspectivas con respecto a la calificacion profesional en servicio, entendida como una decision politica institucional, en la busqueda de nuevas maneras de ensenar, de aprender, de atender y de tomar a cuidado de. Concluye con una consideracion en la educacion permanente en la salud y en enfermeria y separa algunos nuevos desafios. Esta reflexion permite reafirmar la necesidad de la actualizacion de los profesionales respecto al uso de las tecnologias que pueden responder a la demanda social del acceso y al alcance de las ocasiones desarrolladas de la calificacion en los sitios de trabajo.

The goal of this article is to assess the use of telenursing resources as distance learning method for students of the subject Curricular Training I, Rural and Metropolitan Internship at the School of Nursing of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, in 2009 and 2010. For this purpose a descriptive study to evaluate the use of technological resources of the Telenursing Project was done by the students of Rural and Metropolitan Internship. First, students and professors were trained on the tools used by the Telenursing Project (videoconferences, offline and online teleconsultations and distance learning courses). Then, they had to fill in an evaluation form of the videoconferences as a stage of the study, considering data on user identification, on Primary Care Units, on the approach given to the topic and on video and audio quality. Quantitative data related to the use of teleconsultations was obtained consulting the system. The results found enable to consider the use of telenursing resources as a positive thing both for students and professionals, since it is a tool that brings University and Primary Care Units closer, changing the practice from the theoretical discussion of the practice.
