The authors make some theoretical considerations about support. They consider it one of the most efficient measures the nurse can use in her relationships with patient. They report the application of such measure in a process of student-patient therapeutic relationships.

Aceitacao, empatia e envolvimento emocional no relacionamento enfermeira-paciente.

In dealing with the patient, the nurse has always to have in mind that she is dealing with a human being. There are basic aspects in this personal relationship needed to the knowledge of the nurse to make this process therapeutic. Among these aspects we have acceptance, empaty and emotional involvement. These aspects we studied following bibliographical review, theorical conception and importance to the nurse-patient relationship. The authors discuss the importance and the necessity of stablishing limits as therapeutic tool in the nurse-patient relationship. They review the literature on the subject and outline the steps and techniques recommended in the application of such tools.

SITUAÇÃO DA PESQUISA EM ENFERMAGEM PSIQUIÁTRICA NO BRASIL

As autoras, em sua atuacao na pratica, observaram nao encontrar incorporados as atividades desenvolvidas, resultados de pesquisa em Enfermagem Psiquiatrica. Este fato estimulou-as a realizar um estudo das pesquisas em Enfermagem Psiquiatrica desenvolvidas no Brasil, para verificacao do que tem sido estudado neste campo da Enfermagem. O levantamento dos dados foi feito a partir da analise dos trabalhos nacionais publicados. A finalidade deste estudo foi destacar os temas ja pesquisados e estimular as enfermeiras a incorporar em sua pratica, conhecimentos oriundos de pesquisas e realizar novas pesquisas que promovam a qualidade da assistencia de Enfermagem Psiquiatrica.

Situação da pesquisa em enfermagem psiquiátrica no Brasil

As observed by the Authors, the results of research in Psychiatric Nursing are not being utilized in the field. This fact stimulated then to survey the existing studies, in Brasil, in order to verify what has been investigated in the area. This study was carried out through the analysis fo the national nursing periodicals. Their aim is to bring to focus the research already done and to stimulate the nurses to undertake new studies

To celebrate the 20th aniversary of the Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP, the authors decided to extend to the years of 1982 - 1986 the analysis of the first fifteen years of the periodical, above published, made by STEFANELLI et alii.

A ENFERMEIRA PSIQUIÁTRICA E A EQUIPE MULTIPROFISSIONAL

Este trabalho e o resultado de uma pesquisa realizada junto a varios elementos da equipe psiquiatrica com enfoque multiprofissional. Os autores so acreditam que o trabalho em equipe multiprofissional sera efetivo se cada um de seus membros estiver seguro de seu papel e das respectivas funcoes que o compoem. Foram utilizadas, como parâmetro, as funcoes do enfermeiro psiquiatrico elaboradas com base na revisao de literatura sobre o papel do enfermeiro.

Estudo preliminar sobre padrões de assistência de enfermagem psiquiátrica

As autoras adaptaram os padroes de assistencia de enfermagem elaborados por enfermeiras norte-americanas. Estes padroes foram validados com enfermeiros de hospital psiquiatrico para estudo da viabilidade, na pratica, de cada uma das acoes descritas. Os padroes de enfermagem podem indicar um caminho e, ao mesmo tempo, servir de parâmetro para avaliacao da assistencia prestada ao paciente.

COMPORTAMENTO MANIPULATIVO E RELACIONAMENTO TERAPÊUTICO

The authors present a bibliographical review about concept and modalities of manipulative behavior and consider the importance of such manipulation in the therapeutic nurse-patient relationship. They emphasize the importance of the nurse being aware of about the occurence of this behavior, list some patients manifestations and comment them, giving especial attention to the therapeutic measures to be taken.
