Este es un estudio bibliografico, en el cual se ha buscado una aproximacion con el tema de la interdisciplinaridad. La complejidad que caracteriza el mundo actual y, particularmente el escenario de salud, exige el desenvolvimiento de programas interdisciplinarios de ensenanza con el objetivo de alcanzar un nuevo tipo de pensamiento y la formacion de un profesional de salud comprometido con la reconstruccion social. Nuestro objetivo fue buscar en la literatura el significado de la interdisciplinaridad, su historico, sus relaciones con la salud colectiva y con la educacion de los profesionales de salud.This is a bibliographic research which sought to achieve a better understanding of the interdisciplinarity theme. The complexity that characterizes the world and especially the health area nowadays has required the development of interdisciplinary teaching programs, with a view to obtaining a new kind of thinking and the formation of health professionals committed to social reconstruction. We examined literature for the meaning of interdisciplinarity, its history and relations with Collective Health and the education of health professionals.

Uma das razoes da carencia de enfermeiros no mundo e o abandono da profissao. Poucas pesquisas tem sido realizadas para comprovar este fato. A permanencia de enfermeiros no mercado de trabalho e os motivos para o seu abandono constituem os objetivos desta pesquisa. Os autores tentaram o contato com 1112 enfermeiros egressos do Curso de Enfermagem da Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirao Preto ¾ USP, Brasil, formados no periodo de 1957 a 1990. Desses, nao foram localizados 95 enfermeiros (8,54%); 1017 (91,46%) foram contatados por cartas, telefones ou entrevistas, solicitandos a responder um questionario; 808 (72,66%) responderam; 194 (17,45%) nao responderam; 4 (0,36%) recusaram-se e 11 (0,99%) haviam falecidos. Os resultados mostraram que 19 (2,35%) nao ingressaram no mercado de trabalho; 661 (81,81%) trabalharam na profissao; 102 (12,62%) trabalharam por um periodo de tempo e 26 (3,22%) estao aposentados. Alguns destes, 6 (23,08% do total dos aposentados), continuam trabalhando. Para o grupo estudado a analise mostra que a porcentagem de abandono e pequena. Outros estudos, entretanto, outros estudos deveriam ser realizados para comparacao dos resultados. As razoes pelas quais os enfermeiros permaneciam em exercicio estao relacionados ao gostarem da profissao, embora declarem seu trabalho nao ser reconhecido e mal remunerado. O abandono esta relacionado a motivos pessoais e familiares. As constantes trocas de turnos, falta de motivacao sao outras razoes apontadas para a interrupcao do trabalho. Conclui-se que os enfermeiros gostam da profissao e apreciariam permanecer, entretanto, clamam por melhores condicoes de trabalho.

O objetivo deste trabalho e identificar apoios sociais, redes e papeis em familias de docentes de enfermagem, utilizando a fundamentacao teorica sobre promocao de saude em enfermagem familiar. O cenario deste estudo constituiu-se de um Curso de Graduacao em Enfermagem de uma Universidade do Brasil. Selecionaram-se como sujeitos deste estudo tres familias de enfermeiras docentes responsaveis por disciplinas do ciclo profissionalizante. A entrevista em profundidade, o genograma e o ecomapa foram usados para a coleta de dados, que foram categorizados pela analise de conteudo, optando-se pelo tipo tematico. Nas tres familias estudadas, os familiares e a familia ampliada constituiram-se na principal fonte de apoio. Outras pessoas importantes foram funcionarias, sem lacos de consanguinidade, as redes de apoio compostas pela escola, trabalho, igreja e locais de lazer. A identificacao de papeis e apoios permitiu aos familiares fortalecerem os mecanismos de enfrentamento para lidar com os fatores estressantes cotidianos e atuarem na promocao da saude.This study aims to identify social support, networks, and roles in families of nursing faculty members, using the theoretical framework of health promotion in family nursing. The scenario of the study was an Undergraduate Nursing Course at a University in the interior of Brazil. Three families of nursing professors responsible for subjects in the professionalization cycle were selected as study subjects. In-depth interviews, the genogram, and ecomaps were used for data collection. Data was categorized by thematic content analysis. In the three families under study, relatives and the expanded family constituted the main source of support. Other important persons were female employees without blood relations. The social support network included the school, work, church, and leisure sites. The identification of roles and supports allowed the relatives to strengthen coping mechanisms in order to deal with the daily stress factors, as well as to act in health promotion.

This study aimed at measuring the average working time in health care of nurses graduating from the University of Sao Paulo at Ribeirao Preto College of Nursing, Brazil. This research includes 1,112 nurses who graduated from 1957 to 1990. It is a descriptive cross-sectional study. Data were obtained from March, 1992 to February, 1993. Statistical methods for survival data analysis were used. OBJECTIVE: To study the annual risk of tuberculosis infection among school age children resident in the Federal District, during 1997. METHODOLOGY: A cross-sectional study was carried out among 1,328 eight-year-old students, living in the cities of Ceilândia and Guara, in the Federal District, utilizing the Dam & Ritze model to determine prevalence rates and the method suggested by Ruffino-Netto for the annual risk. The data collected was processed using Excel and SPSS 9.0 software. Statistical analysis included Confidence Intervals and Chi-squares. The study was approved by the Ethics Research Committee, which requested that the adults responsible for the children signed a Term of Free and Full Consent. RESULTS: The proportions of those infected and non-infected by Mycobacterium tuberculosis did not differ statistically (c2=3.8416) in the two cities. For 1997, the prevalence of tuberculosis was 3.3% and the annual risk of infection was 0.42% for the children studied. CONCLUSION: The authors expected to find a reduction in the IR in the Federal District. Based on this information, the area can be characterized as of medium intensity for tuberculosis infection but with a tendency towards the improvement in the epidemic.

The Program of Community Integration of the Municipal Bureau of Health of the city of Ribeirao Preto aims at promoting health, directing its actions for the change of life styles. The purpose of this study is to look, in the light of the framework of Health Promotion and through declarations of users of the program, how it has been formed as an important strategy to increase the autonomy and emancipation of the population. O objetivo desse trabalho e avaliar uma metodologia alternativa de educacao em saude do adulto desenvolvida entre trabalhadores em saude. A avaliacao foi feita atraves da pergunta orientadadora: O que significou para voce o Curso de Saude do adulto? A analise consistiu em destacar dos depoimentos as afirmacoes que mais se repetiam, e agrupa-las em sete categorias: 01. Aprender coisas novas; 02. Aprender para orientar as pessoas que frequentam a Unidade Basica de Saude; 03. Interacao com os colegas; 04. Sentir-se valorizando profissionalmente; 05. Preocupacao com os filhos; 06. Melhorar estilo de vida; 07. Sugestoes. Os resultados remetem aos pressupostos apresentados na introducao do trabalho, bem como os do modelo epidemiologico proposto por BLUM4.

Fue realizado un estudio de la vida escolar de los alumnos que se matriculaban en la EERP-USP en los anos 1984 a 1988, en un total de 336 alumnos, procurando identificar informa de ingreso, egreso y tiempo de formacion. A traves de un levantamiento se identifico a todos los que se matricularon en cada ano, procediendo a un analisis y acompanamiento de cada alumno, hasta su salida de la escuela. Durante el periodo estudiado, 197 (58,6%) alumnos concluyeron el curso; 2 permanecieron cursando y 137 (40,7%) se evadieron. De esos, 26 (7,7%) se transfirieron; 15 (4,4%,) palarizaron momentaneamente sus estudios y 96 (28,5%) abandonaron el curso.An investigation of professional nursing training was carried out by examining the time spent in nursing school of the 336 students registered at the Nursing College of Ribeirao Preto at University of Sao Paulo from 1984 to 1988. A autora, neste estudo, descreve uma experiencia do processo ensino-aprendizagem de um programa de educacao do adulto numa perspectiva positiva de saude. O projeto se destina a grupos de adultos da comunidade. A concepcao, conteudo e estrategias desse processo sao analisados considerando a reflexao e o desenvolvimento da habilidade de vida individual e social concernente ao autocuidado e auto-responsabilidade por uma saude holistica.
