Levantamento de recursos e necessidades de enfermagem no Brasil: estratégias para realização

Objective: To describe the preliminary steps for enabling the Survey and to analyze the strategies used by the nurses involved, aimed at conducting the Survey. Methods: It is a social-historical study, where the sources used were written documents found in the Documentation Center of the School of Nursing Anna Nery located at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and in the Memory Center of the Brazilian Nursing Association. Results: The timeframe covered is from 1954 to 1958, covering, thus, the period of planning and implementing the mentioned Investigation by the Brazilian Nursing Association. From the 7th Brazilian Professional Nursing Practice Congress in 1954 until the delivery of the Final Report of the research in 1958, the nurses involved in the Investigation, through the Association, had to develop strategies to enable and complete this research. Conclusion: From this perspective, the different types of capital (economic, social and symbolic) that they were able to accrue and collect proved to be an effective strategy during the implementation of the Investigation.Objetivo: Descrever as providencias preliminares para viabilizacao do Levantamento e analisar as estrategias utilizadas pelas enfermeiras envolvidas com vistas a realizacao do Levantamento. Metodos: Estudo historico-social, onde as fontes utilizadas foram documentos escritos localizados no Centro de Documentacao da Escola de Enfermagem Anna Nery da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e no Centro de Memoria da Associacao Brasileira de Enfermagem. Resultados: O recorte temporal compreende os anos entre 1954 e 1958, abrangendo assim o periodo de planejamento e execucao do referi o Levantamento pela Associacao Brasileira de Enfermagem. A partir do VII Congresso Brasileiro de Enfermagem, em 1954 ate a entrega do Relatorio Final da pesquisa em 1958, as enfermeiras envolvidas no Levantamento, atraves da Associacao, tiveram que desenvolver estrategias para viabilizar e concluir essa pesquisa. Conclusao: Nessa perspectiva, os diversos tipos de capital (economico, social e simbolico) que conseguiu acumular e mobilizar ao seu favor mostrou-se como estrategia eficaz durante a realizacao do Levantamento.

The pioneering role of the brazilian nursing association in research development: from the journal to the research center

Resumen The aim in this research is to analyze the initial initiatives of the Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem for the development of nursing research. Considering a time frame that encompasses the period from 1932 to 1971, when the Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem (Brazilian Nursing Journal), until the creation of the Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas, of the Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem. The sources used were written documents located in the Documentation Center of Anna Nery School of Nursing at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and in the Memory Center of the Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem, besides journal issues located in the Sectorial Library of the Graduate Program at Anna Nery School of Nursing. Organización asociativa de la enfermería: luchas por el reconocimiento social de la profesión (1943-1946)

Objective: To describe the circumstances that determine the creation of the Brazilian Association of Graduate Nurses of the Federal District Section and analyze its implications for the reorganization of the field of nursing. Method: Qualitative, socio-historical, documentary study. The analysis generated the following category: Creation of a new group to guarantee unity: Brazilian Association of Graduate Nurses in the Federal District Section. Results: The economic crisis resulting from the Second World War, the creation of the Paulista Association of Graduate Nurses and the increase in the number of Schools of Nursing in the country were decisive for the Brazilian Association of Graduate Nurses to reformulate its statute as to guarantee its unit. Final considerations: The creation of the Federal District Section consisted of one of the strategies of the Association to reorganize the field of nursing, in order to ensure the recognition of the profession by the society. Objetivos: Descrever as circunstâncias que determinam a criação da Associação Brasileira de Enfermeiras Diplomadas Seção do Distrito Federal e analisar as implicações dessa criação para a reorganização do campo da enfermagem. Método: Estudo qualitativo, sócio-histórico, documental. A análise gerou a seguinte categoria: Criação de um novo grupo para garantir a unidade: Associação Brasileira de Enfermeiras Diplomadas Seção do Distrito Federal. Notícias do Levantamento de Recursos e Necessidades de Enfermagem na Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem (1955-1958)

Estudio Historico Social que tiene como objeto noticias referentes al Levantamiento de Recursos y Necesidades de Enfermeria en Brasil publicadas en la Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem entre 1955 y 1958. La fuente primaria se constituye de los ejemplares de la Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem publicados dentro del recorte temporal do estudio. Las fuentes secundarias estan constituidas de libros, articulos disertaciones y tesis relativas a la historia de la Enfermeria. El analisis de los datos tuvo apoyo de las fuentes secundarias y del pensamiento del Sociologo Pierre Bourdieu. Los resultados evidencian que la Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem, ademas de posibilitar la divulgacion de noticias acerca del Levantamiento proporciono visibilidad al mismo mediante la divulgacion de esas noticias y, por fin, tuve el efecto simbolico de conferir poder y prestigio a la Enfermeria Brasilena.Social historical study that has as object news related to the Assessment of the Resources and Needs of Nursing in Brazil published in the Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem between 1955 and 1958. The primary source is constituted of copies of Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem published within the selected period of the study. The secondary sources are constituted of books, papers, dissertations and thesis related to the Nursing history. The data analysis was supported by the secondary sources and the thought of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. The results evidenced that Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem, in addition to making possible the dissemination of news about the Assessment provided visibility to it and, at last, had the symbolic effect of giving power and prestige to the Brazilian Nursing.
